Scam!!! No products, no refund, no service

Unfortunately there are no negative stars available... camera sky have gone to all new lows!

I have paid in full for a Nikon D500 - $2850 with additional payment for express insured delivery!! Then they wanted all my personal details - including a photo of my licence and photo of my Visa card AND utilities bill... I believe there is some sort of identity scam going on here...there are other ways of verifying secure visa payments!! so I cancelled my order.

No refund - 4 weeks later!!

Do not buy from this website ever!!! Not under any circumstance - they rely on banks making insurance claims on fraudulent purchases and keep the coin. For every several hundred purchases, some will be ‘not available’ or ‘delayed’ which encourage buyers to ask for refund... to which only a handful get an actual refund... the rest they pocket... you do the math... that’s a significant income... why else can they sell items so cheaply!!

Scam scam scam!!!! Do not buy!!! I’ve just lost $2850, unless by some miricle I receive a refund...

NEVER order from Camerasky!
After placing an order in July 2017 it took over two months before I received part of it...I wish I have read the reviews before I placed the order!
The part or the order not delivered was a lens case, which I still have not received because they say it is out of stock (a lens case for goodness sake!).
Last week (after many, many emails backwards and forwards) they offered me my money back....5 months later! I suspect that they could not be bothered mailing me an item worth $18.00. Rather than jump though hoops in providing banks account details etc I told them to keep my money, I have spent way too much time on this matter and have better things to do with my time.
I will NEVER purchase from Camerasky again...it is a terrible company to deal with.

Crap, crap and more crap

Plain and simple. Don't advertise products for sale when you don't actually have the product to sell. That is very deceiving! Thought I purchased a $2600 camera only to receive a disappointing email 2 days later saying it was out of stock and to choose a different model. I requested a refund but email responses are very slow. They then said the refund to the original credit card could not be done due to system issues (more lies and excuses?) and requested my bank account details. Refund was suppose to take max 10 business days but ended up taking 30 days through my original credit card. Non-trustworthy, unprofessional and unreliable. Just shop anywhere else but this place. Bunch of time wasters really.

Absolutely Inept - Do not deal with them.

I chose CameraSky as they were the cheapest option at the time.

Worst customer experience that I have ever had and would never gamble with them again.
Ordering Canon EF 300L F4 (Website stated 5 to 10 days for dispatch)
Please order two weeks ago (10 business days). Paid for Priority Processing with Insurance.

Received no update from CameraSky as to the progress of the order until I called them (the second time) on the 23rd of November and pushed them for an update which they provided as a status update to processing. (The first time that I called I was fobbed off).

On the subject of the support (telephone) line - I was informed that there was a backlog, and I my call would be answered in order or receipt. I was informed by the automation that I was the only call. I was still on hold for ~1/2 hr. Similar experience with their chat service which was not answered for ~20minutes.

I called them today for an update to my order and was told that it was STILL in processing in Hong Kong and would be dispatched within 24-48hrs. This dispatch would see the item delivered to the Australian Hub where it would need to be picked and posted to me. I would be receiving my item on the 7th of December (23 days from the date that it was ordered).

As this did not meet my expectations, and would be too close to my deadline (10th) I chose to cancel the order. I was told that the processing time to cancel the order and refund my money would be 10 (working) days.

Honestly the worst. I will never recommend that any person interact with CameraSky.

Do not use this company

NSW Office of Fair trading warned consumers not to use this company back in 2016. I wish I'd read their warning before placing an order. Tooks me weeks of fighting to get a refund after they jacked up the price a week after I placed the order. They aren't an Australian company but some outfit from Hong Kong.

Terrible customer care

I cancelled my order after reading terrible reviews online. I didn’t trust that my camera would be delivered in time for an important birthday. I phoned to cancel the order which was all fine, I was told it would be 10 working days. 13 working days later and I still have no refund. Every time I phone I speak to the same operator who just tells me it has been escalated to the finance team and she is waiting for a response. This has been the answer for the last 6 days. Nothing is being done to help me. There is never a manager around to speak to and finance can only be contacted by email.
I am doubtful of ever getting my money back. The next step is calling the police.

UPDATE: After speaking to a different operator and insisting I speak to a manager ( who was on lunch but conveniently came back the more I insisted!) I spoke to Don. He sent me a very similar email to one that I have read on another review here. I opened the email whilst on the phone to him and pointed out this was a standard email he obviously sends out to disgruntled customers! He assured me that he would deal with my refund personally. I didn’t hold much faith but Lo and behold, later that night I had an email saying that my funds had been successfully transferred! The money was in my account the next morning. Day 14. It can be done people, just insist on speaking to Don!

Paid $777.00 for a camera over 2 months …

Paid $777.00 for a camera over 2 months ago. Cancelled the order 15th October due to non supply - they have agreed to refund my money, and keep advising me they have escalated my refund to be in my account within 2 days.

No refund, and this is now nearly 8 weeks since original order - have reported to Westpac credit card Fraud - They will keep telling you that your refund is on its way - but don't hold your breath. Its a shame as we have ordered other smaller items from them in the past and have had delivery within 2 weeks - but if they dont have the stock on hand - they will hold you out indefinately.

If I could give ZERO stars I would.

Placed an order, waited ten days and heard nothing. Then when I asked for a refund they said they would arrange it. It’s now 21 days and I get terminated calls to a head office which I am sure is a scam.
Automated email responses asking if I am happy with the service and if they can terminate my ticket.

I am convinced these people have stolen my money and have no intention of paying me back. If anyone on here would like to take action against this company please do so. I am most definitely going to report this to the appropriate authorities.

Do not buy from this company if you have any intention of receiving your order or getting any level of customer service.

Most likely a scam in my opinion.

CameraSky is a scam

Bought a Sony action camera from them. Waited 15 days and it still wasn't shipped (even though they promised shipped in 10 days or less). So I asked for a refund. So far it's 12 days later and still not refunded.

The prices look good so they can take your money and run...

3 months of Hell!! and still no answers!! and no 40th birthday present

I ordered a camera for $600 for my husbands 40th birthday on July 28 2017 and paid extra to ensure it would be here for his birthday on August 15 (the website says 7-10 days) .
I Contacted CS just prior to the birthday as i was concerned it hadn't arrived and was told it could be up to another 14 days. I broke the news to my husband that he wouldn't receive his surprise til a week after his party.
In 3 days it will have been 3 months since we paid for the camera and I have been met with nothing but automated email replies and phone calls being terminated on no less than 8 occasions. I finally spoke to a Manager after breaking down in tears.
The manager named Don promised to personally deal with my case (after a months) and guaranteed that he would call back that same day.
It was over a month ago and I'm still waiting to hear from Don who doesn't reply to his emails either.
I have copied the email from Don below We have no choice but to take further action! It's been the worst customer service experience of my life.
Camera Sky please do not insult me by responding to this. You don't respond to anything else.

Still waiting for any response for my order on 20/9/17 for a Canon 6D - my order was paid in full and now no one answers the phone or replies to my emails. No delivery has been made. I ordered a Nikon D5300 with 18-140 …

I ordered a Nikon D5300 with 18-140 lens.29th August. The money was taken from my account the same day. The camera and lens were in stock and I paid the extra f$60 or express shipping.

It is now September 16th.. my order is still processing.

I have tried calling this company daily by phone on their Priority Line. There is an automated (condescending) voice saying how important my call is.. and they are receiving heavier traffic than normal (every single day?) .. the phone rings twice and then goes dead.

I received a reply to one of my numerous emails asking me for my email address! to chase up the order?...

Last Sunday I received an apology email, and it seems it's the same excuse I see in all of these 1 star reviews. Higher than expected demand.. apologies for not getting the order delivered, they'll chase it up (when?) and I'll be emailed when the order is shipped.. OR I can discontinue the order. They will be very happy to speak with me if I want further help... HOw?. they don't answer the phone .

I emailed to cancel my order... still no reply....

Disgraceful company. I usually research well before ordering online. I presumed this was an Australian company with the Australian website....

It sems I've lost $800, the trips I wanted the camera for have passed.. and I'm still without a camera.

Pay the extra and get your camera in a store.. I no longer trust online shopping.

DON'T DO IT

I ordered a lens on 8th June that was supposed to be in stock and delivered within 5 days. One week later I was told it would be delivered within 2 weeks. 2 weeks later they told me I would have it by Friday. When it didn't arrive I cancelled the order. Now they claim that they dispatched it 2 days before I cancelled so they are only going to refund $216 of the $415 I paid. It's been 8 weeks and I haven't received a cent and don't believe their advertising, they are NOT an Australian company, everything comes from Hong Kong. [ Isn't false advertising illegal?]

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I ordered and paid for something that was in stock, once my transaction went through they told me it wasn't in stock but I should wait 24 days. I waited 3 weeks until they told me that it would take another few months. They offered me a refund, which I took. That was one month ago. I'm still waiting for it. You'll never get them on the phone. It will take them many many days to email you in response. Do not purchase from them.

Disorganised, misleading, and unreliable company

I attempted to order a $1,588 camera lens from CameraSky, with their website indicating it should leave their warehouse in 5-10 working days, then delivered in 2-5 business days. I first followed up on their 'live chat' after 15 days of hearing nothing from them, to be told it was still delayed (hadn't left the warehouse) and that I could request a refund if need be. I requested the refund 4 days later after losing hope the lens would ever arrive, and they said it may take up to 10 business days to be 'processed'. It has now been 18 business days since I requested the refund and I still have not received it (43 days since the original order), despite following up about it twice on their 'live chat', with them insisting it was still 'processing'.

I will continue to contact them until I receive the full refund for this purchase, but I very much regret ever doing business with them and would strongly recommend that no one attempt to order goods from CameraSky. The reason I used them in the first place was that I assumed they were an Australian-based company due to their .com.au address, but they are actually based in Hong Kong and have deliberately used a misleading domain name to attract Australian customers.
