Camping World can’t spell customer service!
Went to Camping world to sell or consign my 5th wheel. On the way, blew a tire and damaged the J wrap and a few other minor things. Of course the appraisal was crap because of the damage, so I said we’ll just fix it here, sent he insurance adjuster and in 2 days had them a check! Long story short, it took 2 months to get the camper repaired, then when following up with Shannon asked to get a real number now that the repairs are done. Well I guess they don’t trust their own repairs and I’m not even worth their time to return a phone call. Wouldn’t stop at another camping world to even use their restroom.

I just got my first fifth wheel camper and I want to get a big shout out to Joshua Smith in Spartanburg South Carolina. He was amazing so helpful so patient there was no pressure he made buying my camper enjoyable. Awesome salesmanship awesome I would definitely recommend anyone buying a camper. Talk to Joshua Smith you won’t be disappointed
The WORST customer service in any…
The WORST customer service in any service industry, that I have experienced. CANNOT get anyone in Service to call you back, even after spending $100,000+ on a 5th wheeler. Maybe a class A purchase gets better response
Camping World is lousy on returns!
I ordered the wrong Blackstone grill so I called Camping World to initiate a return. I was told to visit their website and scroll to the bottom of the page to begin the return. I asked if I could take the item to their nearest store. The customer service rep said yes I could return the item to their store. I called the my closest Camping World store and was told I needed to contact customer service. I called customer service again and was once again told to scroll to the bottom of their website to initiate a return. I did that only to receive a page that said there are no items in this order eligible for return. That prompted my third call to customer service to initiate a return. I was told I would receive an email with instructions. The instructions stated:
Include order number: first and last name of order email and mail to Camping World 300 Purity Drive, Lebanon, IN 46052.
That's it. What a joke!
Ordering is ok but don't ever order anything that was sent in the wrong color or size, or turned out wasn't what you thought. Camping World simply is not helpful facilitating returns.
I would not recommend the store in Akron Ohio
I would not recommend the store in Akron. This is the most incompetent staff in retail. I tried to return an item and it took 4 morons to try and figure it out. In the meantime I'm disabled and had to stand in pain and they never did figure it out. What a waste of time and money.
Our Camping World experience
Dylan in the RV service department of the Kansas City, KS Camping World went well above and beyond good customer service. He was knowledgable, very competent, and pleasant to work with. He showed great patience answering our questions and showing us how to use our new camper. Also, Lindsey, of the same Camping World store, was competent and pleasant.
Without Dylan and Lindsey our family would not ever be returning to Camping World. As it stands now; we will continue to get service from Dylan.
Camper world in olive branch stole my…
Camper world in olive branch stole my deposite I put down to hold a camper and decided not to buy it. Kameiko TOLD ME HE HAD TO PAY SOMEONE TO CLEAN A CAMPER I DIDNT OWN BUT HE USED MY MONEY TO PAY FOR IT. I'm 100 disabled veteran. It's memorial day weekend and now I got no money or a camper to go anywhere with.
I filed charges against them with the ftc and bbb and also have a lawyer. The news media in Memphis took my story and The salesman quit over it. There's a lot of dirt we digging.
Our brand-new Puma 429LFT
UPDATE: STILL waiting to speak with the regional manager about how to resolve the issues with our camper and get a refund for the $1500 "detail/walkthrough" as they refuse to provide us an onsite service tech for our destination camper. I've returned their call 4 times and no return call thus far.
Our brand-new Puma 429LFT, which has only been in use since the beginning of April, leaks sewage from the black water tank into the kitchen sink, the door lock on the slider has never worked, the screen door was completely destroyed when it was delivered, and the toilet does not hold water. This after we paid $1500 for "Prep" and a walkthrough. They replaced the screen door with a Temu version that won't open, and they will not correct the plumbing issues or door lock unless we bring our Destination camper back into them to the tune of $3,000 to pull it, transport it and reset it. They never even offered to send a tech to our permanent campsite which is only 2 hours away to make it right. I would NEVER recommend them. Their service manage Jeff said that it wasn't their responsibility and that's what a warranty is for. I wouldn't even give them 1 star. #Camping World, #Forest River, #Puma
Been trying to get my refund back for…
Been trying to get my refund back for over 2 week from camping world in Fairmount WV. Last 2 times I get no response back can someone point me in the right direction. I will never go back nor would I recommend them to anyone.
This company treated me so badly
This company treated me so badly! I bought my 1st Class A motorhome and was mislead and even lied to as a result. Upon getting it home I discovered MANY issues with the coach from no slide rain cover to no rear ladder access and even no power to the radio. No owners manual (important to a new owner) Was told it had dual satellite dishes (none there) by salesman. This was the WORST buying experience I've had in my 67 years. Your company sucks!
This is a horrible company to deal with.
My salesman, Hector, was great but it's been a nightmare with the Camping World in Avondale, AZ and the staff since.
I put the down payment down on 10-31-2024.
I started having problems from day one when I went to pick up the Camper on 11-6-2024. They said it was not ready and then told me I did not have an appointment. I contacted Hector and he did show where I was scheduled to pick the Camper up. Then, they lied and said they tried to call me but no response and no way to leave a message. Which was a blatant lie.
I had an issue arise the second week I had the Keystone. It has been one ongoing lie after another. I have a complete timeframe of all the dates I've called and was put on extended hold or told they could not help me and even the person had not voicemail they could send me to. I keep getting told they will call me and of course I get no call back.
Now, the dealership will not contact me back at all.
At one point, the service manager, Matt, told me to call Keystone myself because he said it would be better than him calling to get the camper fixed.
I even purchase the extended warranty at the time of purchase, which is supposed to cover anything on the camper and they still will not fix my camper.
Deception or Incompetence?
They are either using deceptive sales or are completely incompetent. Sales agreement signed by manager omitted thousands of dollars when it came time to do the paperwork. Also, delays in delivery due to some insurance proof requirement that was not disclosed until days after signing off on the purchase.
Purchased a preowned trailer
Purchased a preowned trailer. Salesman was very good. The delivery was good, but a couple of unfinished items were noted, and they committed to take care of them, "if I was willing to close". Different managers kept coming up and giving the "Thank you, just ask if you need anything" spiel. Once the deal was done, follow through on final items promised evaporated. Title work took 2 months to complete and I had to return to the dealership 3 times to get it. They have the sales pitch perfected saying everything they need to. But there is no genuine service. I believe everyone I talked to (lower-level management) was genuinely trying but couldn't get things done. After all was said and done, I sent a reasonable polite, but firm letter to the general manager, handed it to the front desk. Now 2 weeks later have not even received an acknowledgement. While I am happy with my trailer and sales person, I do not trust management at all. Would not do it again.
If I could leave zero stars I would
If I could leave zero stars I would. The first time I talked to a salesman, he reassured me they had something I could afford. He showed me an 8'x21' unit that was nasty. I explained this was too small for me and my 70 lb dog. He said that was all they had, have a good day.
Last week, I get a phone call. They have some units in my price range would I like to look at them. Sure! I scheduled an appointment for today, May 16th at 2 pm. I drive 2.5 hours, to get told someone lied to me, have a nice day. No apology, nothing. The nicest person there was the receptionist. I wish I had gotten her name.
What an attrocious company
What an attrocious company. Rang today to ask where my £1,029 refund is from 6 weeks ago, and she told me they do not deal with refunds on the phone, to contact via WhatsApp and she hung up on me. After I went on the chat and was told it takes UP TO 14 working days, why? You must be making a damn fortune on everyone's money, keeping hold of it. On top of this, I wanted to pay for it via PayPal in 3 months payments but you took the whole lot out in one go leaving me badly overdrawn in my account. Companies like this should not be in business, you can't survive by living on interest off unfortunate people's money. I regret the day I came across your company on the website, and everyone should steer well clear of you. Now, please give me my money back. My name by the way, just so you can find me on your system is Karen Robinson.
Negative Zero
I would give a negative zero on services provided. I paid top dollar for platinum maintenance service. What I now know is a checklist for services rendered. By definition: A major disadvantage of a service checklist is that "they can potentially miss important information beyond the checklist's scope."
My first day out on campsite, my slider doesn't extend fully. Overnight my water pump breaks. I called a Mobile Fleet RV expert. He fixed my water pump and said there was no wrapping around the plug with plumber's tape. Second, the slider does not extend fully because of code 8. Meaning no connection to the motor due to loose wiring.
I paid an additional $690. If they had done a complete rundown beyond the checklist's scope, this should not have happened.

Help on the Road
We left Las Vegas, after having the CW there install a battery charge cable to our car to keep it charged while flat towing. The unit did not work right and we had to jump the car at our first 3 stops on the road to South Dakota. Our stop in Layton lead us to Kaysville/Draper UT CW. We went in right at opening, and Meagan was a smiling face ready to assist us. They inspected the car and found some issues, that the manager, Ray took to the LV store to help us get it fixed. We were there under 4 hours, back on the road, and the system is working. THANK YOU MEGAN AND RAY!
CW Chattanooga
While on an RV trip, my husband and I had some unexpected truck issues near Chattanooga, TN. With time to spare, we stopped by Camping World—and we’re so glad we did! As avid campers, we realized our current RV was aging, and to our surprise, we found a newer one we absolutely loved.
The entire team at Camping World Chattanooga, from sales to service, was outstanding. They went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied. Everyone was professional, helpful, and genuinely kind.
Even if you have to drive a few hours to get to Camping World Chattanooga, it’s absolutely worth the trip. Highly recommend!

Expect Success
Upon deciding to sell my 2023 Class C (as I just wasn't using it), I contacted two local dealerships. The first was only willing to sell on consignment, gave me a price guarantee by phone, well below what I had hoped. The other offer came from Matt Haas, Consignment Specialist at Camping World, Oronoco, MN. I scheduled an inspection; Matt gave a detailed report of the few minor repairs they'd make in preparation for sale. He outlined both a direct sale offer and an offer upon consignment, with both prices exceeding the offer I had previously received at the first dealer AND meeting my hopes. I decided to take the consignment deal and completed paperwork that same day. Matt and this dealership were very organized, took time to detail the paperwork and answer my questions. Staff throughout my afternoon at this dealership were hospitable and cheerful. Having received the dismal bid from the first dealer earlier, I did not come prepared to leave my RV that afternoon. Matt not only offered up shopping bags to help stash my stuff, but chauffeured me home in a company truck (a 45 minute drive) and helped me unload at home. It was a pleasant experienced and built my confidence for a sale. So far, so good...
