Just return a phone call-or lose customers.

I took my rv on Tuesday to ask about selling it. They told me the person that makes the final decisions wasn’t there. They took a cursory look, gave an offer verbally and told us they would call yesterday with more information. The offer is fine-we just need it in writing. We did not receive a call yesterday. I called again today to ask for the sales manager-again, I just need the offer in writing-whatever it is. Still nothing. This is a complete waste of my time. Based on how we are being treated, we will not be back to Camping World! There are lots of other RV sales options out there. I would rather deal with someone that can return a phone call. Y’all lost a customer and it was an easy problem.

No personal info for their database, no service

I stopped by Camping World in Mesa to look at camper vans. I was told I needed to provide personal information for their database and I told them that I was only there to begin the process of looking and I was not willing to give them personal info. They said that was their policy so they would not arrange a person to show me the vans. That will be the last time I consider them before I buy. What a stupid policy. No wonder I saw so many bad reviews prior to visiting. I never let other reviews make my final decision about a place but now I know.

We took our Forest River Flagstaff to…

We took our Forest River Flagstaff to Camping World in Pooler, Ga for repairs from major wind damage from a fallen tree at our home. They received it in FEBRUARY, 2025. I've called numerous times and always got excuses that no was available in the service department at this time. They were either too busy to take a call from a me or they were gone for the day. The ladies that answered the phone each time would always take my name and phone number and said they'd tell customer service to call me back. They never did. I called again 10 days later and the service person, Keisha said that my insurance company NEVER returns their calls, and I informed her that my insurance company has told me they've called Camping World repeatedly and no one EVER calls back!!! Finally in June I made a personal effort to go there in person and Keisha, once again said they hadn't been able to get through to my insurance company SO I called my company while I stood there and let them speak directly to her and she in turn called her district manager to finalize this monetary decision. When it was all said and done, I had a signed paper confirming these details and she assured me that they'd get to our camper ASAP. I walked out feeling much better. My mood was short lived when my husband and I went back in two weeks later to check on progress and found the doors locked and a note on their door saying this site was closed and all remaining campers were being transferred to Ridgeland, SC!!! I wonder how many other people were as shocked as we were. Now I've called Ridgeland twice in the last 5 weeks and the SAME scenario is repeating. Now I'm going to call my insurance company back and see if I can get everything transferred to another repair business. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND CAMPING WORLD TO ANYONE!!!! If I could give them a negative (-5) review I would.

Camping World Lake Park Georgia

I just received the best customer service ever at Camping World! The process of getting my RV camper (jr) was one of the most exciting moments of my life. Everybody in that building had great energy! If anyone is interested in a RV you have to visit Camping World in Lake Park Ga. and most importantly ask for Michael Burton he is the man with the plan! Thank you Mike for the family like vibe you and the team gave me the whole time I was there!

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE (over a minor issue).

I purchased a travel trailer in May, 2025. When I picked up the rv, the service dept. told me there was a recall on the rack that holds the spare tire on the bumper of the rv. It was a used rv and not one of the brands Camping World carries. They took the rack off and stuffed the tire in the bed of my truck and told me they would get a new rack to me. It is now late July and I still don't have the rack. I've contacted half a dozen people at the Kodak, TN store and they all said they'd get back with me that day or the next. NOT ONE OF THEM DID THAT. I did not receive a single call back from any of them. It is such a minor issue, but I'd hate to see a big issue come up with this dealership. I'm happy with the rv, but this sours my whole attitude about Camping World. It's doubtful I'll do business with them again.

very upset at camping world on purchasing a popup

there was a used popup we wanted to purchase was told yes, it is available drove 2 hrs. to get there to find out the winch was broken and no way to see inside. that was the last day for that salesman to work there so he gave us to Matthew. We ask if we can purchase it and wait for the winch to come in, he told us no he could not do that it would be 2 weeks for part and will call us when it is fix. I called there several times told part has not made it yet, but I would be the first to be called on it. It has been 3 weeks since and I called this morning and was told a couple bought it already and waited two days for the winch to arrive and left with it. my wife and I had planned on purchasing the popup and heading out west coast asap, this was uncalled for on camping worlds employees in Jackson Tn. to do this to us. We had the cash on hand a ready to purchase the first day. It makes you not even purchase at all from Camping World anywhere.

Where do I start this was our very…

Where do I start this was our very first RV purchase. On the day we picked it up we did a lot walk thru they took notes that needed warranty work showed us the hitch etc off we went. After arriving at home we had time to look over the rig more thoroughly at this point it became apparent that the rig had more issues so I started taking notes and photos sent these to camping world I was hesitant to take camping because slider cables had warping areas darco tape was shredded and coming off in several places weather stripping coming loose pass thru trim detached trim over the tires lost screws awning was loose lots of stuff. After speaking with high up people I consented that we would take it out… fast forward two days ago drove a few hours from home set up camp a fuse that controls the water pump burnt out how to drive 30 miles to get more. Then the tankless water heater wound up with E5 code a little research indicates faulty wiring or blown motor. At this point we are beyond upset at all these issues. Spoke to the CW gods and were told by one manager to bring it back they would put us into another rig and would get a different salesman to help us send us photos of what they had available. Well we got home today no emails from CW GODS about anything regarding our rig. Once home we were prepared to clean it out return it based on the phone conversation I had with TF, apparently TF boss said nope that’s not how it works all that could happen is a more expensive rig or more warranty work. ONE THING TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE DONT BUY FRIM CAMPING WORLD if you know what’s good for you…THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS RETURNS AND ALSO BY THERE WAS ADMITTANCE HIGH CW GOD told me OUR TRADE VALUE WAS NO WHERE NEAR what we paid for it weve owned it a little over 3 plus weeks. BAIT AND SWITCH THEY GOT PAID WE GOT A TRAILER THAT WE CANT USE AT THE MONENT TILL THE WATER HEATER IS FIXED.

LIARS AND THIEVES…

This is one of the most dishonest companies I have ever dealt with. Had them install an InMotion Starlink following their claim to have installed several. They installed it with an improper router and without sealing the mount. It cost me approximately $700.00 to have a reputable installer install the proper wiring and router, which Camping World refused to reimburse. I assumed they sealed the dish's mount. I'm sitting in the RV with water pouring through the roof of the RV and into the electronic cabinet from under their unsealed roof mount. AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS!!!!! I'm not afraid to leave my name and phone number...Max Snyder, 801-641-6844

They locked a cat in my motorhome

I dropped my motorhome off at the Camper World in New Braunfels, Texas. Had a couple of items to get taken care of. Little over a week after dropping it off I got a call from the service department. I was asked if I was missing a cat. I told them I don't have a cat. Bo (service guy) told me the had a problem with wild cats and one got locked in my motorhome. It had been in there from 5 days with no water or food. Bo said they would take care of the damage. 2 window shades were shredded and a hole was clawed into a wall. After over 4 months later Camper World said they would only replace the shades and not repair the hole in the wall. Stay away from this place. There is a reason from all the bad comments and take heed. I will never go to them again.

gforbus

My wife and I went out on a Sunday afternoon in March to Camping World in Calera, AL, "Just to look". As we were leaving we asked a sales rep the price of a certain unit. By the end of the day we had purchased a travel trailer. My own fault, could have said no. We took the camper out for the first time in April and discovered that the air conditioner didn't work. Called camping world first and they referred me to help center. After talking to a technician on the phone it was determined that the AC was faulty. I called camping world again and set up an appointment to bring the unit in. This was early May. I took the camper in and left it. Received a call about a week later that the AC was in fact defective and would have to be replaced, but first they would have to get authorization from the manufacturer. Next phone call "we're waiting for the replacement", note they sell that make and model at the store. Next call, we have an AC service backlog and you're in the queue. Next call "you are 3rd in line" Mind, these phone calls are about every 2 weeks. Over 2 months so far, summer camping season is passing us by, school starts back in about 4 weeks. Called last week, "records show that the work has been done, but we're waiting for the quality check, someone will call when it's ready to pick up". I'm still waiting for that call. I pray there will be no more issues before the one year warranty runs out, so I can go elsewhere for service.

Sale was great but the follow up with…

Sale was great but the follow up with the parts department is horrible! Missing a window shade on our new rig. Delivery was done with a “We owe” written up that supposedly got lost so parts guy was going to look into it. Now, no word at all and I’ve left several messages with no return call. Seems they don’t know how to dial a phone number! Luckily, it isn’t a big part but it’s the principle of the fact they do not care is really a true testament of their customer service or lack there of I should say! One would think after all their terrible reviews that they would hire a team to fix it?!?! Very sad that no one cares to upgrade. I couldn’t work there.

Amazing Customer Service!

My fiancee and I were traveling from Utah to Texas to buy a specific RV. Along the way the deal we were making needed adjustment and we found ourselves without a hitch. We were 1800 miles into our trip with no hitch but we called the Camping World in Lubbock, Texas and we were working with Cole in the parts department. He took our several phones calls to make sure we could get the right hitch and went above and beyond with his customer services. He really cared about us and did everything he could to make sure we had what we needed to achieve our goal. We would have wasted A LOT of time and money if it wasn't for Cole taking care of us. Because of Cole's amazing character and expertise we were able to purchase the B&W hitch with full installation kit and come prepared to the dealership and get the RV we wanted. Thank you Cole and God Bless!!

If I could leave no stars I would

If I could leave no stars I would. I’ve purchased RVs in the past but never from Camping world. I recently found a used camper and inquired. I was first off bombarded with calls from multiple people and having to give out the same information I had already given. Once I was finally able to get a quote, there was approx $2,800 in additional fees and no drop in price from the listing price. I cannot stand the shady , back door practices. I priced the same model new camper and there was only a $4700 difference from camping worlds price with additional fees. Very poor business model and just a waste of time.

Slide out repair

We brought our mh in for a slide problem. My husband crawled under the mh w the technician and showed him the part that was bad. 2 weeks later we went back and they hadn’t touched it. Stating they couldn’t get a response from Winnebago on what part to order, We pulled the mh for a few weeks so we could camp and went back. In that time they still had no idea about parts. I had to give them the schematics to look at. It’s now been 6 weeks and they still have not even had the decency to call. In that time we were able to find the part, take it out and replace it. Cost $100 for them to look at it, and $30 for the part we told them we need. I will never go there again.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR - AVOID Camping World

On June 7, 2025, my husband, son (and his significant other), and I visited Camping World in Mesa, AZ. We’d been researching campers online and wanted to view a few in person—one for us, and one for our son.

From the beginning, we were upfront: we were browsing and needed to explore options before deciding. We were paired with Steven, a new sales associate who was fantastic—honest, patient, respectful, and low-pressure. He was the best part of the entire experience.

While there, we saw a 2025 Forest River Campsite Ultra 19KB. It had everything we wanted—even if it was pricier than we intended. We let them know we had our own financing and shared details on our 2022 Forest River pop-up (like-new, fully loaded) as a trade-in.

Steven returned, visibly uncomfortable, and said they’d only offer $9,000. That was a huge red flag—the trailer was worth much more. We stayed calm and said we’d likely sell it ourselves. Before leaving, we spoke to Jacob, the sales manager, and complimented Steven’s professionalism. Jacob asked what would make the deal work. After a brief conversation, he offered $15,000 for our trade and assured us they’d honor that deal when we returned.

We were excited and ready to move forward.

Because of Father’s Day, we waited until after the holiday and followed up on June 21. We texted Steven—only to find out he no longer worked there. He kindly referred us to Hayden, so we followed up with him and explained the deal.

That’s when things unraveled.

Hayden told us the trailer price had increased by $3,000—from $29,999 to $32,999. We reminded him that Jacob had said the price was based on time on the lot and that we had a deal in writing. Hayden suggested other models, including a 2024 Cougar and an 2024 Eddie Bauer Heartland—both nice but not what we wanted. We were still focused on the Campsite Ultra.

Then came the real insult: after speaking to three different managers, Hayden said our trade-in value was now only $13,100—not the $15,000 we were promised. We showed them the written deal, but they refused to honor it, saying it “shouldn’t have been offered.”

We politely walked out—and told them they didn’t just lose one sale, they lost two.

Later that day, we went to another nearby RV dealer in Mesa. The experience was completely different. When we showed them Camping World’s offer, they immediately matched the $15,000 trade-in. We found a better camper for ourselves—an upgrade from the Campsite Ultra—and YES, it was more expensive. We also bought a second camper for our son—also a nicer, better-built unit than what he was looking at.

We left with two campers we love—and were treated with respect and transparency the entire time. That dealer earned our trust (and thousands of dollars) because they listened, honored their word, and didn’t play games.

Final Thoughts:
Camping World Mesa was unprofessional, misleading, and inconsistent. What started as a promising experience with an excellent salesperson turned into a frustrating and disappointing ordeal due to poor management and questionable tactics.

We won’t shop there again—and we wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone. Mesa has better RV dealers. Do your research, know your trade-in value, and take your business somewhere that respects you.

You’ve been warned.

Took my older camper in for brake…

Took my older camper in for brake issues. They sold me a bearing grease package and said while they had the wheels off they would inspect all brakes and brake systems. They gave me a checkpoint list of all they did and said all was fine. Two hours on the road I had no brakes, so I assumed it must be my truck brake controller. After 4 weeks no trailer brakes on 3 mountain ranges, I had the Ford RV and Truck Center look over the truck and camper. When they opened the drums, they were falling apart, Adjuster bolts had no threads left, broken springs that held the shoes together, coil wires broken and defective. I have a box full of parts to prove it. I will never trust Camping World at Myrtle Beach, SC for anything ever again. They could not have even looked at my brakes and let it back out with that many issues without knowing it would put my life in danger. Pics and parts available upon request.

Buyer Beware

Buyer Beware
I am shocked and appalled at how this company took complete advantage of my senior citizen brother who lives on Social Security.
After losing everything in a divorce my brother decided he was going to buy an RV Camper to live in. Thinking that Camper World was reputable and would not take advantage of him, he bought one.
He has great credit and therefore no down payment was needed.
Long story short, as soon as he left with the Camper, he knew right away that what they sold him was too large for his truck.
He turned right around and went back and he was told “too bad”, “buy a new truck”.
My brother begged and pleaded for them to help him and they said there was nothing they could do. My brother sat down in disbelief, not knowing what to do, he sat there, shaking. A 64 year old man that was so excited about not being homeless was devastated.
Finally they said they’d make a phone call and see what they could do. Here was the last straw for me, they came back with a much smaller camper, fine, but now in order to make a deal he had to come up with $2000.00. His once good credit meant nothing. Oh and he was not ALLOWED to test drive the camper to see if his truck could handle it. They told him to take it or leave it.
He didn’t have $2000.00 so he had to borrow the money.
Again, he lives on Social Security.
They should forever be ashamed of themselves and I hope they reap what they have sown.
DO NOT TRUST salesperson Stacy Wright or GM Benjamin Tais. Shame on you!!!
Do not give Bossier La your business if this is how they treat our seniors!!

Well another 1 star review is not going…

Well another 1 star review is not going make a ding in the world 🌍f Camping world. I think the CEO is the real joke who has a tagline "If you are happy I am happy!". You can email him and call him as well. what a joke?!
I ordered an item from their website, it had the mounting kit included but a separate shipment. I got the item without the mounting unit. I contacted them over phone and chat , first agent said give me 24 hrs , the next one after 24 hrs said it could actually take 48 hrs and now after 48 hrs they advised me to be patient. The fact is that they have no systems, no organization, no focus. In this day and age if a company cannot handle a simple order with two items and coordinate the delivery of those they should stop doing the business or at least stop doing any internet sales

Buyer & sellers BEWARE

Buyer & sellers BEWARE! i setup consignment of my RV for 90 days, was told to drop it off for inspection and they would consign it for 90 days, or purchase it from me for $X dollars upfront. I dropped it off on a Saturday, and inspection was for the following Monday. Tuesday I had heard nothing so i called and was told Matt Jackson the person i needed to speak to was with a customer. I called Wednesday, same story Matt was with a customer. Thursday I reached Matt who stated " Oh good thing you called, I forgot all about this, I`ll have it done today and call you back by 5 pm. Friday I still heard nothing. So this Monday no answer, then on Tuesday ( 8 days after scheduled inspection ) same thing Matt Jackson was busy with a customer. I asked for the store manager who was off. I asked for the managers name and was told they cant provide that information. Then I asked when the manager returned, silence, then was put on hold, then they said tomorrow ( Wednesday ). I contacted customer service to try and find an answer to what was going on. They stated they would call me back in 10 minutes. I received an email stating they talked to Matt Jackson who stated he emailed me a repair quote already. I emailed back advising i received no email. Then later that day Matt finally called me stating he was going to email me a repair quote, and what was my email address. I asked what repairs were needed and he said I`m not going to discuss this with you, you can look at the email. He became rude and unprofessional on the phone, and said we are not going to buy or cosign your RV, unless you pay for the repairs first. Then the next day the store manager called and said the RV needed $10,000 worth of repairs, pay the bill and they would cosign it or i had 2 days to pick it up or they would have it towed away. The RV is 2 years old, used 6 times, all was working when I brought it to them. I`m very confused as to the repairs. I can only guess this is a scam to get your RV in, hit you with a repair bill, then make more money selling it for you. I cant understand doing business this way. Not returning customer calls, fake repair bill, then threatening to have it towed away. Unbelievable. So BEWARE, again I say BEWARE!!!
