Canadian Appliance Source, founded in 2008, has developed into a forerunner of modern appliance retail. Our model is unique in that our focus has always been on providing our customers with the personalized, thoughtful help and advice of an appliance specialist. Whether online or in-store, CAS customers receive knowledgeable advice, expert service, and quality appliances at exceptional prices. Our goal is to leave each customer with the certainty they made the right choice buying from us.
Now with more than 40 locations, our mission has grown to be the largest national appliance retailer in Canada. However, we will be a coast-to-coast retailer with a difference: we will still offer each customer that same personalized advice and unique in-store experience. We will do this by maintaining the exemplary level of training each sales associate receives; we will do this by ensuring every member of the CAS team shares our values of respect, responsibility, and commitment to customer satisfaction. We will do this by empowering everyone in our company to provide our customers with the expertise they deserve. CAS has always stood apart from the competition, and as we grow, we will continue to do so. We now have the resources, the ability, and most importantly, the drive to be the best appliance retailer in Canada.
Although we have grown in size, we have never lost our focus on creating our unique, customer-centric, in-store experience. Each CAS store has a boutique feel, features streamlined, modern displays, and customers are serviced by personable, knowledgeable staff. We pay attention to the details to make the shopping experience as pleasant as possible.

Paz quickly grasped the panicky (for me, not him) situation I was in. My plumber had encountered difficulties in disconnecting my existing washer and at days end could not get the required parts to prepare for the CAS installation. Plus the delivery was set for 8 to 11 am.the next day. The Plumber needs the 8 am time slot to complete his work. Paz was able to reschedule to the next day. Perfect. One happy client!
Despite having a large selection, competitive posted prices, and positive reviews, I would not recommend Canadian Appliance Source (CAS). We purchased a fridge, washer and dryer with Jay at their Dufflaw location in Toronto, leaving satisfied with his advice, our product decisions, and believing that he was providing us with the best possible deal with special discounts, free shipping etc. Upon further review of the CAS website pricing for our exact same products later that day, their total online price was actually $35 cheaper than what Jay quoted me in store with his all of his discounts applied. Even though this difference is not a lot of money, it was still surprising as their website tries to drive traffic into the store with a message stating that store reps “have the ability to significantly discount most product prices below advertised online prices when purchasing multiple products.”
Furthermore, there were several different offers and promotions being shown on their website at the time (ex $150 off 2 appliances with washer/dryer counting as 1 unit for this promotion and the fridge the 2nd, 2% cashback paying on Visa, advertised sale/promo prices without negotiation), which I further questioned while providing screenshots and a summary of my understanding on 2 separate occasions asking Jay to help explain (which also took a lot of my time to compile). Jay asked his manager for support, of which he forwarded his response with some new caveats around how some discounts apply where others don’t. I found their pricing terms and how prices are promoted to be confusing, nuanced, peppered throughout the website etc - the online cart even showed the $150 multi-buy discount checked off automatically (which I was expecting) but not applied to the grand total as apparently buying the washer/dryer as a “discounted combo price” doesn’t count! I think there is an opportunity for CAS to make their pricing easier and more transparent for customers to understand to make more informed decisions.
Lastly, in reading the string of emails that Jay forwarded to me from his manager, I noticed that Jay also asked his manager if he should just cancel our order as I was pressing for answers for what I thought were very reasonable questions as my calculations were showing a difference of almost $300 (a lot of money!). I found this to be quite unprofessional. We have since canceled the order as I’ve completely lost trust in Jay and CAS, which has also taken over a week to process the refund back on my credit card (including with a follow-up as it should only take a few days); at least he was apologetic and empathic in his confirmation back where I’m hopeful he genuinely took the feedback. I will definitely not be coming back to do business with CAS in the future, though.
Bottom-line: I would exercise caution dealing with CAS for your appliance needs from my experience, and would strongly recommend doing your homework first before visiting a store as I don’t believe their reps have your best interest at heart. This experience turned what was supposed to be an exciting day of purchasing new appliances into a complete waste of time and even more stressful for me to source our chosen appliances from other retailers. But in the end, ironically, I actually saved approx. $130 more than I would have paid at CAS, so I guess it was sort of worth it in the end.
UPDATED AFTER CAS RESPONSE:
In response to CAS’s response, I would like to ensure an accurate depiction with the following information so prospective customers can make more informed decisions:
- Fact #1: I have never disputed the competitiveness of CAS pricing (refer to the first sentence in my review). I am questioning how they present their pricing where I believe there is an opportunity to be clearer and more transparent, as well as questioning their sales practices.
- Fact #2: I asked to cancel the order, not CAS “presenting the option to me.” This particular cancelation was fully initiated and requested by the customer.
Fact #3: while the cancelation was finally processed on Apr 7 as noted, it took a total of 11 calendar days/7 business days. On Mar 27, I emailed Jay and requested to cancel the order/process the refund. On Mar 29, I received an email confirmation from Jay that our order will be canceled. On Mar 31, I received an order cancelation notice. On April 3 (after following-up on the refund), Jay advised it would be processed today or tomorrow. On Apr 7, the refund was finally processed (ironically a few days after I posted this Trustpilot review).

Fast, pleasant, not always thorough.
Still in the middle of getting a cooktop for pick up from two provinces away. The date passed to service rep #1 wasn't passed to the store. The website to link to the order is problematic, so another phone call was needed. Date was quickly and easily re-set, so fingers are crossed the cooktop will actually be there waiting for me.
Got great service from Dhruv in shipping and Najeem in sales. Expecting a Bosch fridge delivery in a couple days and hoping all goes well.
I called to speak with my original sales representative who was not working today. I was directed to PAZ V to address my concerns. Paz listened, understood and acted on it in an expeditious manner. Very difficult to find people like that. He arranged prompt delivery of my appliance as requested. A job well done.
We went in on November 15th 2024 to buy a washing machine. We clearly stated that we wanted the GE with an agitator. On November 18th 2024 we received the wrong machine. We were told that we would have to deal with customer service to exchange the machine. We needed a washing machine so we purchased the machine we wanted in the first place. We have had many in store conversations with the store manager that we would get a full refund. To this day it's now December 19th 2024 we have still not received a full refund. This is absolutely the worst place to do business with. No credibility No customer service No customer care. Don't be disappointed save yourself thr aggravation don't shop at canadian appliance source . Go any where else CAUTION ALERT. BEWARE!!!!!!

At first I went to Rona on Castlefield to look for a washer and dryer the employee there treated me poorly. Was actually speaking to me as if I was of less intelligence than them. Thankfully I remembered Canadian appliance on Castlefield was around the corner. All the employees were very welcoming and helpful. Leonard was immensely helpful in helping me decide which appliances would be of best value for my needs. He walked me through the whole process. Thank you Leonard.
I had bought a new fridge and received an email from CAS on the delivery process. It pointed out that I should check that the appliance would fit through the door. Upon meadows I found the door was not wide enough and called the customer service # immediately. Paz went over all the details and we found that the fridge would fit if the doors were removed. He also updated the delivery order to show the doors would have to be removed to get the appliance through the front door. What a huge relief! I found Paz to be very attentive, thorough and extremely professional. Thank you Paz.
Suzanne from the After Sales team assisted us tirelessly with great communication and updates throughout the compensation process. We appreciate her attitude and professionalism.
Aisha was fast, efficient and got me the needed information quickly, proactively asking for other phone numbers and updating my record to reflect both phone numbers. Terrific service.
Paz V - Customer Service was outstanding
He knew my name, what I had purchased 4 years ago without me saying anything except "Hi"
Took care of everything in a minute or less
Aisha was very good in communication, fast in responses and in organizing the pickup
Michael Blimkie, our sales rep at the Dufflaw Street, Toronto store, was exemplary! His knowledge was startling because we thought we knew how to use the item (stove hood) however his declaration that most Canadians don’t, made us curious and his teaching was right on! We used the procedure and his recommendation for a hood and are we ever happy. No pressure or upselling and our beautiful stove hood is terrific.
Thanks Michael!!

I bought a washer and dryer from Canadian Appliance Source. Paz was the representative who helped set up my delivery. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and very helpful, and was able to answer all of my questions. He even responded to my phone calls in a matter of minutes. Excellent customer service!
Sheshna was super supportive and helpful rebooking my delivery.
The sales rep was very informative and knowledgeable. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly I received the fridge. The drivers were very friendly and professional. They were in and out in no time.
I spent $10,000.00 on 6 appliances and the stove came with out all the pieces my bottom door won't even close because missing pieces. I don't understand how you can sell an item with out checking if all the pieces are in

I don’t speak French and wonder why an English option for your survey is not available. Regardless, I had a wonderful experience at your store. My sales associate, Mike Cole, went to great lengths to get the appliances I needed.
Awful to deal with if you have a problem or need to return or exchange. The most non consumer friendly company I’ve dealt with for ages.
Baffling when there are so many choices of places to shop.
