Very Poor
Cancelled order and said no stock available. Still on their website as in stock and available to order, so my husband placed a smaller quantity order and this also got cancelled!

Hi,
Orders are cancelled automatically if items are not available for delivery. This means the order won’t go though, so we don’t charge you unnecessarily. We wouldn’t accept an order without having stock as this wouldn’t be fair for the customer. Hope this clarifies your question.

Very disappointing
Very disappointing, avocados were rotten, I did get a refund, lettuce limp, sweetcorn tasted strange and the rest went off very quickly

Unfortunately as we are dealing with fresh produce, not everything will be perfect, but we are always happy to offer a credit or replacement for our customers that aren’t satisfied. We would never charge you for goods you wouldn’t consume. I’m surprised to hear your produce went off very quickly as we source direct every day and it’s not feedback we often hear. (This may be to do with storage as it was fresh when delivered). Please note the sweetcorn you purchased is a vacuum pack, we do sell fresh sweetcorn that tastes delicious (perfect for BBQ’s).

Customer Service needs to be much better!
I almost never leave a bad review but I'm not impressed at all with the service provided by Capital Wholesalers. I ordered a tray of tomatoes with next day delivery paid at £8. I received no correspondence for 6 days but I gave them the benefit of the doubt as I understand these things can happen during busy periods. then, yesterday evening, I received notification from my SHOP app that I had received a refund for the order.
No correspondence from Capital at all.
Customer service really needs to be better than this in a business.
Would not order again which is a shame as I had planned to place a much larger order next week.

No delivery arrived!
My son ordered next day delivery and parcel force said they attempted to deliver and they did not! No card left. I’ve tried 4 times to email the company to ask for refund and I am being ignored! Please respond to this review and sort his refund!

As per our correspondence we were awaiting confirmation of return from Parcel Force - this is standard procedure for most online businesses to avoid fraudulent requests. We didn’t ignore your emails - we did respond explaining what we were doing for you and you replied. It wouldn’t be sound business to refund items until they have been shipped back - i hope you can understand this. We apologise for the delay and any inconvenience.

Great fruit and veg right to the door
Capital wholesale were a godsend during covid. I am so glad they are still delivering to individual customers. Always happy with the choice and produce I get and prompt delivery right to the door. Thanks to all the staff at Capital.

Like others paid for next day delivery…
Like others paid for next day delivery on the 8th still waiting for the goods, Parcel Force state they have 'attempted' delivery but have not as I have CCTV and no one has been. Have emailed these guys a few times but they never respond, got an automated email stating they have issued me a part refund, having to restort to claiming back via my credit card company under section 75, avoid at all costs.

Thanks for the post. We did have a conversation with you prior to your review and you seemed satisfied when we explained what we were doing to resolve this for you. We were very apologetic and want to get this sorted asap. Unfortunately delivery of goods out of Edinburgh are not in our control. Parcel Force have returned half your order, 1 Box which we refunded to you right away. We kindly notified we would refund the rest of the order when we receive the rest of the order - if we don't receive it we would be back in touch for a resolution, which is reasonable. As far as section 75 we have followed the correct protocol, as the time frame has not yet passed. Please be assured we will always refund money that you are due. We are waiting for a response from Parcelforce before we proceed.

No sign of my goods
Placed an order and paid for next day delivery. A week later and the items have not even been dispatched. Moreover, having emailed, I have received no response. Simply stolen my money with not a word as to where my items are or when they’ll even be arriving.
Update:
They’ve since replied to say they instantly cancelled my order and offered a refund - not true. This was only done after I left my review to spare their reputation.

Please be assured nobody has stolen your money, and a refund was processed. This can take upto 5 working days.
