They are THE WORST Avoid At All Costs!
They are THE WORST company to buy auto-related products from (go to CARiD.com).
I was involved in a fender bender & needed a new front bumper, as well as a couple of minor additional parts.
They had everything I needed, at what appeared to be the best price.
Unfortunately, shipping on just the bumper was $150.
Carparts.com has a $79. “Plus membership” & 2 of the features were Free Shipping and VIP MEMBER SUPPORT.
So, I paid $79, since there was a 3-day grace period to cancel if it wasn't what I thought. So that relieved my concern.
Then, everything went bad.
I went to place the order & the $150. Shipping was still showing.
Unfortunately, I didn't read the fine print; free shipping does not apply to every product.
Either way, the 3-day grace period and promise of VIP Member Support secured my confidence in case there was a problem. Shipping was still $150 for the bumper.
I spent $499.39 for the order and $79.99 for their membership.
Then I got an email that the bumper was out of stock.
So within 2 hours of the order on a SATURDAY AFTERNOON, I went to cancel it all, and they claimed it was already shipped.
When I then asked to cancel the membership, they said I had already violated the grace period by getting free shipping on ONE $10 item in the order, so they WILL NOT cancel their Plus membership.
So, a cancelled order and no customer support for the “Plus membership” cost me $102.45.
They do not care about their customers at all! Avoid At All Costs!
Bracket, but no screws
Ordered a license plate bracket and it arrived with no screws. It is not that they forgot to include it. The part was sealed. They just sell brackets that come standard without screws to attach it to the car.

Fraudulent listings/sale. I have reported them to the FTC for listing part numbers RB90-303 and RB90-301 LEAF SPRINGS at sale pricing but sending DOR90301 and DOR90303.
They were two separate orders so no way it was a fluke.
CARPARTS.COM is ripping customers off by drawing them in with sale pricing and sending the wrong parts.
DO NOT ORDER FROM CARPARTS unless you're ok losing money.

A few years ago, I purchased a complete kit (steering, brakes, drop spindles) for my 1971 GMC. Recently, I asked them to send me the data for the steering alignment. At first, they claimed that I should use the factory settings, but after I explained to them that this was not possible, they agreed with me, only to recommend that I find a repair shop that could reset it from scratch. Lots of words, but no data.
They will take your money when they can't fill your order! Then refuse to cancel it!
I ordered a few parts and they charged my card. Then a little later I get a notice that the main item I wanted is not in stock and to "Click to chat with a live rep now to resolve the issue.".
It was nothing but their stupid AI "ARK" that couldn't do anything. It asks for your zip code and then has an error or meaningless product crap. You CANNOT reach a representative online this way. It doens't work because they are trying to use this garbage application to replace people when it doesn't work.
Then I get a notice that the most expensive item I purchased is delayed. I had to email when they wouldn't answer the phone. Their response is that it's too late to cancel because they are still shipping the two gaskets I also ordered for a few dollars! I couldn't cancel because of their BS wanna be AI app!
Purchased a hood from Carparts...
Purchased a hood from Carparts on 12/17. Was told that I would receive the hood by 12/19. We had already had issues with another company sending us 3 damaged hoods, so I was tired of dealing with them and our customer had already been waiting well over a month to get her truck back...these delays were very frustrating. When I FINALLY got tracking information for the hood, I was surprised to see that the estimated delivery date was 12/23, NOT 12/19 as promised. I immediately reached out to Carparts to ask why I wasn't going to get the hood on the date it was promised. I did not get an explanation, only an excuse that they don't control the shipping company, but that they would refund me half of my $200 shipping cost for the inconvenience. I told them that I wanted the refund but that if they could stop the shipment I wanted them to do that, as well. (I had already found another hood locally that would be delivered in 30 minutes, so I no longer needed this one from Carparts). They told me I could return the hood after it was delivered. I also called the shipping company and let them know that I no longer needed the part. They could not return the item, but told me that Carparts could stop the shipment or that I could refuse the item at delivery. Carparts did not stop the shipment, so when the delivery driver showed up on 12/24, I refused the delivery. I received an email yesterday, 12/29, from Carparts stating that they had processed my refund in amount of $198.99, for the returned hood. I paid $323.99 for the hood and $200 for shipping, so a total of $523.99 for an item that I did not accept. When asked why I was only getting $198.99 back, I was told that there was a "call tag" fee of $125 deducted from my refund and that shipping fees are non-refundable (I never got my $100 refund that was promised for not getting the hood on the date promised). So basically, I lost $325 to this company. An expense that I cannot, in good faith, pass along to my customer, nor would I want to as that would make no less a thief than Carparts. I wish that I had read the reviews for this company before ordering from them. I would never have done business with them in the first place, and you can be sure that I will never do business with them again. Honesty, trust, and good customer service go a LONG way in business. But it seems that these values are sadly lacking from many businesses these days. BUYER BEWARE!!! Get your parts from somewhere else. **I am giving 2 stars for ease of navigating the website and making my purchase.

Website is a total SCAM! Do not buy from them. The return option does not work at all. They will send you broken parts and ignore your messages. (don't fall for the Ai email responses) One of the biggest scams I have ever seen in my life. Extremely frustrating they haven't been shutdown yet for fraud.

Don't polish, replace your headlights.
Been dealing with very foggy headlights on my 2008 Explorer for a while. Polishing, using different compounds...nothing worked. Had a buddy tell me to just buy some new ones from Carparts.com. He did, and said it was an easy install. I did, he was right and my truck looks so much nicer too. Good price, fast delivery, wish I did it several years ago.

I paid an extra twenty dollars to have a part delivered in 1 to 2 business days. After day four I received a message saying, it would be here four days later.So I decided to purchase elsewhere. They first offered to pay the shipping cost for my inconvenience.Although that hardly covered it when I needed the part.And they could not come through when they said they would knowing that they were not going to get it here in 1 to 2 days. After buying the part elsewhere and informing then that I would be returning it, and I wanted refunded on my money, they told me I would need to return the part and pay to ship it back. That's right. I have to pay to ship their part back because they couldn't get it to me within 7 days of when they said they could.

False advertising, poor response to a valid issue
I ordered a AC compressor based on the photo and the description. The compressor arrived and I gave it to the shop working on my restoration. They did not open the box either until they were ready to install. They opened the box and the compressor looked nothing like the photo on the web site nor the one I needed. I called and asked for an exchange and they told me too bad, 30 days passed. It was still in the box, uninstalled and they did not care. This was clearly false advertising as it was not the compressor in the web site photo.
