I ordered a new front end for my car and waited weeks only for it to be canceled and nobody communicated anything with me.
Sent the wrong part
Ordered struts for the rear hatch on a land rover. CarParts.com claimed them as a direct replacement...but they were in fact 3 inches short and i was traveling over the holidays so "missed the 30 day return window." Will never use them again--the return window was my fault, but wrong size struts? Ridiculous.

I have to admit I made the mistake of ordering parts for the wrong model. However; it wasn’t entirely my mistake. In the initial search bar I noted the correct make and model. Instantly, a large number of products appeared, not all of them for the model requested. I should have paid closer attention. I ordered the wrong parts, initiated a return, and ultimately ordered the correct parts with the part pro’s assistance. The entire process was simple, smooth, respectful, and efficient. Thank you!

I never received my package even though…
I never received my package even though the tracking shows it was delivered. I checked around my property and with neighbors and nothing turned up.
What makes this worse is that it feels like the company created a shipping label without actually sending the item. The tracking number looked legitimate and showed delivery, but no package ever arrived. My order number was CPX26272110623832.
When I contacted customer service, they told me that because I didn’t purchase shipping protection, they could not issue a refund or replacement and suggested I file a police report instead. That response was extremely disappointing and unacceptable for something that was never received.
Based on my experience, this feels like a scam and I would strongly advise others to avoid ordering from here unless you’re willing to risk losing your money.

I am extremely disappointed with this company. They failed to deliver my order as promised, and despite repeated attempts to reach out, I received no response. This company broke their promises and showed a complete lack of professionalism and integrity. I strongly advise everyone to avoid ordering from them altogether. Trash company as it gets. Lied about shipping time, thanks to them my wife had to miss 3 days of work. Bad pricing on item I ordered. RockAuto had the same item for $60 dollars less. Worst customer service ever. Avoid this company at all cost. Trash as it gets.

I had a very bad experience with this company.
I placed an order for a car part, and it was marked as “shipped” with a promised delivery date. However, USPS tracking clearly shows “Shipping Label Created – USPS Awaiting Item,” which means the part was never actually shipped.
The company did not send the part and is not issuing a refund. I contacted them multiple times, but instead of resolving the issue, they delayed and avoided responsibility.
At this point, I have no part and no refund. This is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional.
I do not recommend this seller. Be very careful before ordering.
Returns
Before ordering anything, understand that CarParts does not accept any return for a part that ""may"" have been damaged in transit. They make the sole decision. Every other online retailer I have ordered from would accept a return and replace the item, and then seek a credit from the shipper. It is advisable to purchase the shipping insurance, which I have never had to do. I will not do any more business with CarParts.com

I ordered a replacement sun visor for my Toyota Camry. It arrived promptly. I went to install it and the clips that hold the visor into the roof were defective and would not hold the part in ( I then ordered the part from Toyota and it worked fine).
Returning it was where the real runaround began. I tried to use the return page on the website. It was impossible to get anything done on their easy returns page. I finally called after a week and said that the reason was that It was past the 30 days return policy. Well, NOT WHEN I started the process.
The place is a joke.

Ordered the parts for my truck, trusted them with the right parts. 30 days has passed and was able to have the opportunity to work on my truck… saw that it’s the wrong parts and they refused to give me a refund nor a store credit because it’s 30 days late.
It would be best to shop somewhere else where they will understand your situation and give you a refund.
Terrible and untrustworthy company
Terrible and untrustworthy company. Site is clean and easy to use, that’s it. Ordered brake parts and not all came in. I was billed, then they cancelled parts of the order leaving me stuck. They reversed the charges siting out of stock. When I pushed, they suddenly had the parts and asked that I resubmit the order. When I went in, prices were higher and I would have had to pay shipping again. Needless to say, I did not order the parts again. They gave me quite the runaround.
Then… while I was ordering, I signed up for their “membership”. With this terrible experience, I told them to cancel that too as I was not going to use them again. They said it had been more than three days and they weren’t refunding. Absolutely the worst auto parts company I have EVER worked with online. I will also be raising this with the BBB due to their ‘bait and switch’ types of antics. Stay away from car parts.com.

Bought a set of tail lights, they sent me two of the same side. Went through terrible return process and ended up not getting credit for the wrong part. The basically got the returned light and never refunded me the money so they stole $600.
