Healthy, active fish, expert delivery, highly recommended company.

We were initially apprehensive about buying fish mail order, but having visited our local shop and been concerned about their fish and the conditions in which they were kept, I could see the sense of buying direct from a specialist fish farm.

Carp Co were quick to reply to my email and generous with information. The fish they supplied were as described, healthy and active. The delivery company were outstanding in the way they handled the fish: the driver kept fish himself and even offered advice about introducing new fish to a pond.

It is unfortunate that the tiny minority of customers who experience problems, often of their own making, are the ones most likely to leave reviews. From my personal experience of Carp Co, they are a highly professional company with a passion for supplying healthy fish and I am happy to recommend them.

Sturgeon are brilliant.
I visited the fish farm and what an amazing selection. Ended up coming away with 2 Gold Sturgeon and some koi. My kids (and I) love the sturgeon. They are always busy no matter when we look for them.

SICK / DEAD FISH - SELLER DID NOT RESPOND UNTIL I COMPLAINED THROUGH PAYPAL AND ON TRUSTPILOT

Received my fish on 17/8/22. They appeared OK at first but I noticed one had a broken pectoral fin, one has fin rot and one was bloated. The bloated fish is now dead. The carp with the broken fin is OK, and the one with fin rot seems to be improving.
It's one thing to sell sick fish, but it's a whole new other thing to offer poor service and ignore customer emails. I was emailing Beth at this company about my issues but she hasn't felt like responding, so I have been forced to put in a Paypal complaint and am waiting for a response.
I'm sure they will be 'surprised' at my email and 'sorry' but it's all surface level waffle in my experience. I've bought and sold fish online for years and have never had to deal with anything like this.

Seller has replied after the PayPal complaint was logged and this review was left. I sent a video of the fish in one of my previous unreplied emails. Waiting for refund offer and will update this review accordingly.

Update 3/9/22
I have been paid my refund with advice to check my water quality - LOL! Needless to say I will never use this company again. The customer service has been disgraceful and they only replied to my emails once I'd complained to Paypal and left a bad review here.

Thanks to Trustpilot for giving us this platform to flag up the unscrupulous business out there.

I am really sorry that we did not reply to your email. We actually have replied to both your email and paypal claim this morning, before this feedback was left. It was never our intention to ignore you at all. Beth has been extremely busy and we have employed extra staff very recently to ensure that we are able to answer emails quicker. This is not surface level waffle, it is the truth. I am sorry that one of your fish arrived with a broken pec and that the box was handled poorly. When the other fish have since had issues is something that we have asked for details of but we have not had a response to this.

orderd 20 3to4inch came in filthy water…

orderd 20 3to4inch came in filthy water phoned carpco told them was asked to keep a eye on them lost 1 in the first week 4 weeks on and i have lost 8 due to there spines bending another 2 bent probly loose them next week carpco have told me to see if i have a electric current running in my aqurium as i have put the fish in to grow on for my pond not happy with this buying no more from them.

To have 8 fish develop bent spines within 6 weeks of arrival is an odd situation and the reason that we asked you to check to see if you had an electrical current in the tank at all is because this may be what is causing the issue. All fish died one after the other

Bought 4 x4 inch shubunkin, they were nowhere near 4 inch, they were very small, all 4 died one after the other one had cottonmouth disease. An expensive mistake I made. These fish were put in a long established aquarium, lost one of my mature Redcaps since i put them in tank.

Top quality Koi Carp

Over the last month I have purchased 10 Koi fish in total and I couldn't be more pleased. These fish are of the highest quality from fish 1 through to fish 10. The colours are fantastic and the price was excellent they was well packaged and the delivery was spot on. I would recommend Carp Co to everyone if you want quality at a good price and above all healthy fish.

Happy Koi

Just received my order from the Carpco, I must say I am very pleased with the selection.
I was a little concerned about them being sent via DX but they turned up first thing and seem very happy in their new home.

Amazing service and great quality of fish.

Normally like to buy my fish in person but the nearest aquatic centre is now 60miles away :(

Ordered bright koi - all black or very dark orange. All make mistakes so spent another £270 on 10 x 6-7" Koi. and some Orff. Orf very good and reasonable size. BUT
Biggest KOI was a Ghost koi at 6" Rest were bright as asked BUT none were even 5". Not what I paid for. Never again

Steer clear

Put an order in on 10th July and picked wed 14th for delivery. Employers needed me in on the Wed morning. Contacted Carpco to ask for a delivery after 8.30am as I would be home then or anytime Thursday, refused point blank. Contacted DX delivery, no help there neither. Wed morning get a DX text Anthony will be delivering. Anthony turns up but no fish, only on another van. Eventually Anthony turns up, gets the LIVE FISH package and only throws it up on to his shoulder, then back down as it must have been uncomfortable. Opened the box to find my 20 4-5 inch Sarrasa Comets in dirty water. 3 or 4 must have been bothered at what went on because they had shrunk under 4 inch. Cost me over £150 but would never use or recommend them. They replied 10 months later.

Beautiful sturgeon

Easy ordering, very quick delivery and the fish arrived in lots of water only two to a box so not overcrowded. Good size healthy beautiful sturgeon. Highly recommended.

Beautiful healthy Koi carefully delivered

I ordered five standard Koi at 4-5". The fish are well-sized, appear healthy, and came in an excellent colour selection. The fish were safely packaged in double-skin plastic within a strong box. The delivery driver from DX Express treated the fish with care.
