Bought a big rug in 2024, AAOG20 - Usak Indo Tapete 246x307, 2000 euros!! At the time I complained about the quality of the rug and they did offer to return which I did not do. Well a year has passed and I regret it!! At the end of the 2025 the carpet looks very fake it’s always shedding “hair” I can say this rug is not handmade. Will not buy again from carpet vista or rug vista.

Strong, irritating smell
The purchased carpet gave off a strong, irritating smell even after several days of ventilation. In a closed space, it caused allergic symptoms (runny nose, scratchy throat...). The smell did not disappear even after washing, but because of this the company did not replace the product. We are very sorry, because it would have fit perfectly in the children's room anyway.🙁

Thank you for your feedback. We are really sorry to hear that your rug has arrived with an odour. As you unpack your new carpet, you may notice a slight smell which is due to the yarns being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and should go away after a few days.
To speed up the process, we can recommend hanging the carpet outside to air out the smell.
I also have some tips for you which you could try to apply for the smell of the carpet.
1. Spread a light amount of baking soda onto the entire carpet and let it stay there for approximately 12 hours. I would recommend doing this overnight or while you are at work.
2. Vacuum the carpet to remove the baking soda. This should eliminate most or all of the smell.
3. If it persists, take a spray bottle and fill it with white vinegar. Vinegar is a natural deodorizing agent and is not harmful to the carpet like many chemical products can be.
4. Spray a mist of vinegar lightly over the entire carpet and let it dry. It will smell like vinegar for a short time, but this will soon disappear and the odour that you had on the carpet should disappear with it.
This should do the trick! If you don't have any success in getting rid of the odor in your carpet in this way, please get back to us with information about which of the steps you have followed. This way we can assess the situation and help you properly.
