Very, very dissapointing.
Ive been with the company in the past and joined them again recently as a way of getting my passion back for being involved in the film and TV industry.
As a former semi proffesional actor Ive had a few years out of this business and thought I might try and get a bit of extra work to get back on a film set and reignite my passion and enthusiam for it.
In all honesty. I wish I hadnt.
Fair enough, casting collective have offered me a few jobs but most were vastly unsuitable and the other couple I accepted without hesitation.
Herein start the problems. I jump through every hoop, get everything they ask for in on time, do everything they require, rearrange work, lose income, and then wait.....and wait.....and wait....only for them to release me from the job just hours before the call time should be.
Dont get me wrong, I understand this business well enough, but im sure the production team will know if im needed or not well in advance of a few hours prior to filming.
It would be courteous to let people know a bit sooner then they could salvage something of the days they have put aside to work with this pityful company.
I have worked with casting collective in the past and suffered their great dissapointments so I only have myself to blame for using them again.
Dont forget, as B,A you are always treated as the bottom of the pile. The casting collective are guaranteed to remind you of that.
If it is an actor you are hoping to be, then go and act.
Dont let this company mess you about and demolish your hopes and dreams even at the lowset level.
If it is just a case that you want to be involed in a film or TV for the experience then find a better company, or even better get some work on an Indie film.
They will treat you like an actual person there and give you some respect.
Stay well clear of this company, they will leave you worse than they found you.

Working in the film industry comes with incredible perks – one of the greatest being the opportunity to witness first hand how productions are brought to life, regardless of budget or scale. Casting Collective has consistently provided me with these invaluable experiences, allowing me to be part of exciting sets and projects.
Their communication has always been excellent, professional ,their booking platform is efficient and user‑friendly, and their entire team – from the bookers and IT staff to the directors – has been supportive throughout my years working with them.
Thank you, Casting Collective. Here’s to continuing to create history together and being part of even more amazing productions in the future. Thank you :)

Following their invitation to renew with them, I asked them how since 2018 I only managed to get 1 job a year that conveniently incurred the annual book fee, I would rarely ever get an availablity enquiry. I was told it was just a coincidence but EVERY YEAR since 2018? No I don't think so. I asked if they had me on a 'Do not use list' they never answered.
I was asked if I should leave them, I agreed, however I have since discovered that I am on their BANNED LIST.
It seems that I have been banned because I dared to complain and challenged their integrity.
In my opinion they have NO honour NO integrity, I don't believe that they can be trusted at all,
I think they are completely discredited.

I joined casting collective in 2014 when I’ve started to work as an Extra. They offered me jobs pretty soon thereafter. They have always treated me very friendly and professionally. It’s very pleasure to work with its lovely and helpful team. I have some wonderful memories of the jobs I have done. For me Casting Collective is the best and fantastic company to work with. It’s my number one recommendation to who is looking for a trustworthy casting agency. The company has friendly personnel with positive attitude. It has a very easy to use website and you can manage your profile and control the payments.

Casting collective gave me good jobs.
The team members treat me in very respective manner.
Normally most of the agencies pays the money in around 6 weeks, which is normal but casting collective pay before 6 weeks.
I never have to chase for my money for the work through them.
The best thing about casting collective is,I can call them any time & would get answered straight away.
I don’t to get my queries sorted by email or online.
It’s always one to one in person, which I like the most.

I’ve been with Casting Collective since 2010, and I truly appreciate everything the team has done for me over the years. They’re always friendly, professional, and a real pleasure to work with. I’ve had the chance to be part of some amazing productions, and it never feels like work. If you’re after something flexible, fun, and stress-free, I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Last year, with more time on my hands, I decided to return to Support Artist work after many, many years.
Bewildered by the plethora of agencies out there and unsure of who to sign up with, a friend recommended Casting Collective and I’m very glad they did.
In the time I have been with them, Casting Collective have secured way more bookings for me than I ever expected (including multiple days on the forthcoming series of 'All Creatures Great and Small' which has been a joy to work on) and despite being a large national company provide a personalised service which makes any interaction with them a pleasure. A special shout to Millie and Eloise whom I am in contact with more than anyone else at Casting Collective, both are fantastic.
Any queries are dealt with fully and promptly, they supply concise, well-presented information and a transparent, detailed audit trail for every availability request and booking (contracts, call time and location details, payment vouchers, remittance advice etc). Equally importantly if you have been put forward for a job but are not booked, they let you know so you are not holding the date for no reason (apparently not all agencies let you know if you have been released).
I’m looking forward to (hopefully) many more bookings and a long and happy relationship with Casting Collective as from my direct experience so far, they are everything a Support Artists agency should be and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I always love working with this agency. They are so professional and efficient and are great communicators. I have had two super jobs this year where I had fantastic experiences and met amazing people. I appreciate being put forward for so many interesting and varied roles. Thank you Casting Collective!!
I would also like to say that their website is very comprehensive and easy to follow and upload on. This makes a big difference. A wonderful company to work for. It’d been a total privilege.

I've worked as a Supporting Artiste for nearly four years and Casting Collective is my favourite agency. This work is fickle, with many releases from availability checks and some late cancellations but much of the uncertainty is due to changes by productions and to the fact that it is a very competitive field. Casting Collective has done a great job in putting me forward for great productions, in always providing detailed information about the proposed jobs, in keeping me informed of any delays in the selection process, and in giving timely information about call times and locations. It's also great to have named agents for each production.

My experience has been very good. Film extra work can be frustrating, but you feel Casting Collective is on your side. They get lots of opportunities. Communication is good. If you are serious about film support work I would recommend signing with them.

Constantly trying to put me forward for jobs, great communication whether or not I get booked, friendly, approachable. Going from strength to strength, and may it continue.

I have been registered with Casting Collective since 2009. In that time I have worked on some great projects and thought they were the best agency, but everything changed with the lockdown. In the last couple of years I can literally count the number of days' work I've had through them on one hand. Before the lockdown you'd have to visit their offices in Latimer Road, London where they'd take your measurements and had a professional photographer to take pictures for your profile. However since 2020 you have to re-register online through their website, and everytime you want to accept a job you have to upload a selfie, and if you're no good at taking selfies you won't be getting ANY work.

A very professional agency with a hard working team, who take a refreshing and innovative approach to SA booking by doing unusual things like telling you where you're going, when you're expected to be there, what you're expected to do, and paying you on time (sadly not always the norm in this industry). Of all the agencies out there, they're one of the best ones.

I've had a fantastic experience with Casting Collective. They've consistently secured me roles on some really exciting film projects, and I’ve received more confirmed work through them than any of the other agencies I’m with. Communication is great, although things run so smoothly that I rarely have to reach out. The entire process—from booking to payment—is efficient and hassle-free, with paperless payments arriving promptly after finishing a days work, it's always reassuring to see what you've been paid and that it's all correct. I’m really looking forward working on more films and shows with them. I find Casting Collective to be a reliable and professional extras agency.
