We had a lovely experience in the house we got from Catalunya Casas. They went above and beyond to make our staying more comfortable!
We stayed at the Castellar del Vallès villa which has lovely views and very well equipped all the rooms and kitchen. Even the grill area has it's own tiny kitchen by the pool. At 18 hours we remained without gas for grill and they send someone in 15 mins with a new canister, lovely customer support. The house was warm through the nights.
Will book more with them for sure!

Views and pool outside Barcelona
We had an excellent few days just outside Barcelona. Accommodation was as described and in good condition. Made good use of both the pool area and BBQ. Communication with Catalunya Casas was timely and helpful. Would recommend.

Great experience! We spent an amazing weekend at the Castellar del Vallès home. We had everything we needed for a stay-in time. The house is lovely, with lots of natural lighting, and the view is precious. Would 100% come back.

Rented a house through Catalunya casas
We rented a house through Catalunya casas, masia Sant Llorenc ( see review below) and had a very bad experience with them, not only because they did'nt respond well to our complaints, but because they were very rude afterwards in the contact. so this is why the one star review.
Had they been more civilised in their approach to us as customers it would have been 2.
Review for the house(also posted on tripadvisor)
First the positives, the natural park is fantastic and have some great hiking routes, with fantatstic views over the park, and the house is placed perfectly with some good views from the garden.
Now for the house, there are not many positive things to say about the house, we arrived to a house that smelled very bad of mold and fungus, 2 of the livingrooms smelled so bad that we had to close them off, and didn't use them for the entire stay, and we had to go the store and buy airfreshners for the rest of the house.
the coffeemaker in the kitchen had old coffee in it, with mold in the filter.
It's stated that the property is 900 m2, and although that is might be true, only 273 m2 are in the house, and with the 2 useless living rooms, its properly more 240 m2 of usefull space.
The pool skimmerfilter where filled with leaves, we cleaned it ourselfes, and the day after, a guy (Adria, who was really kind and lives in the area) hired by the company came down to help clean the bottom of the pool. For the 10 days we where there we didn't manage to fill the skimmerfilters again, which indicates that it wasn't prepared for us before arrival. we where 16 people 9 adult and 7 kids, but only had 3 sunbeds when we arrived, (Adria came with 2 more) so only 5 sunbeds for 16 people??
We had big issues with wasps living underneath the roof tiles troughout our stay and tried to get catalonya casas to do something about it, (many of us got stung by them, it is really painfull) but on the day of departure it still wasn't fixed. they were there several times from day 3, they promissed several times to come by and remove them, and then did'nt show up.
The outer areas was'ent maintained, it seemed like the entire hosue has been negligted for a while and the only "newer" refurbishment was the kicthen, which was okay. (Beside the mold in the coffeemaker and, not a single sharp knife at all)
The bedrooms where equally bad and one of the beds were filled with mold, we took pictures of the bedsheets after we washed them, where you can still see some of the mold spots.
The quality of the house is very poor, from the smell in the house, to the bathrooms where the glazing on the tiles are pealing off, some of the beds were good to sleep in, but most of them where not.
The number of bathrooms were fine, but only 2 of them where in good condition, and we had issues every second day with the sewage, on the one side of the house we could smell the sewage inside in the bedrooms.
We came down hoping for a wonderful family vacation, and had no intention to be complainers, but the ad for this house is so misleading that we had to file for a partial refund and give this review so that others have the possibility to decide on a more realistic background than we had.

Once again we would like to thank you for your stay with us and we would like you to know that we have thoroughly investigated your comments.
It’s not often that we disagree with a guest but we believe that this is more a problem of expectations vs. reality as we 100% stand behind the quality of this villa which has been intricately and lovingly restored and has excellent reviews from other guests.
Please keep in mind that the building is hundreds of years old (XII century) and for the type of property it is, it is indeed luxury in a rustic atmosphere.
I will try to address the rest of your issues point by point:
1) Pool: As mentioned in our initial email to you on your day of arrival, the pool maintenance is performed twice per week and was done at 11h on Sunday July 1st. We do wish you had taken a photo as maintenance had confirmed the pool was in perfect PH and chlorine conditions on the day of your arrival. As the villa is located in the middle of a natural park, it’s important to note that it’s very common that some leaves fall onto the pool surface throughout the day. These can be removed with the pool net provided.
2) Size of property: we can confirm that the property and usable areas are 900sm. This includes the main house, the enclosed BBQ area, the pool bathroom, the second kitchen, the laundry room, and ping pong area. Also included in this calculation is the porch area off the kitchen entrance. Furthermore the exterior area is much more than the 2900sm advertised - it is in fact 60 acres.
3) Our linens are professionally laundered by an exterior supplier. The same supplier provides to all hotels in the surrounding area. There was not mold on the sheets; rather a small black stain on one of them. We apologise for this oversight and have taken this up with our supplier.
4) The villa is a traditional Catalan masia with very thick walls. Upon your complaint of odours, we sent maintenance to review and it was confirmed with you that there was no smell at that time. Without a doubt the villa has a distinct smell due to it’s age alone, but this is to be expected.
5) The garden and exterior as mentioned earlier is 60 acres. The immediate garden area surrounding the property including the grass is impeccably maintained always, but as you go further out into the property surroundings it is indeed ‘forest’.
6) A problem with bees was reported on 04/07. We immediately came to inspect the problem and called a specialist removal company who confirmed that there was a presence of bees 8 meters up on top of the roof. The villa is located in a rural area in the middle of a natural park. It is illegal to kill bees as they are a protected species and they have to be rehoused by a specialist. It is a process to do this and depends on the availability of the specialist company. Unfortunately these acts of nature are out of our control and I think you would agree that we did everything possible to get this resolved as soon as possible (visiting the property numerous times and bringing specialists to investigate).
WE take the safety of our guests very seriously. Our responsibility as a rental agent, as is the responsibility of our owners, is to ensure that we offer a quality product and on the odd occasion there is a complaint, that it is responded to and resolved in the quickest manner possible.
I think you will agree that we acted professionally, quickly and provided as many solutions as possible in the moment even though in many cases when we arrived, the issues raised were not present during our visits. We do acknowledge that upon arrival there were coffee grounds in the coffee machine and for this reason we have provided you an appropriate refund.
There are indeed only 5 sun chairs; however, as mentioned there is an abundance of exterior seating and chairs.
For this reason, the property owner does not think it’s necessary for additional exterior seating.
