Avoid! Sent wrong camera, made me pay return!
Avoid - real cowboy service. These guys came within two days of me filing a police report for fraud against them, which they did by refunding just enough (but not 100% of what I was owed) to make a police report too much trouble. At first, they appeared to be great, 'spec-d' a purchase for my requirements but included a camera that they did not have. They charged me via bank transfer so I couldn't complain to a credit card, then sent me a different camera that they knew was no use to me. The camera detailed on the receipted invoice in the package was exactly the camera I paid for, the actual camera in the box was not, was not ordered by me, and no use to me. Any good company would have instantly refunded and paid for return postage for the camera that was never ordered. These people acted more like cowboys. As they had my money, they then made me pay for their mistake by making me pay for the return of the camera that I hadn't even ordered. I did get it in writing first that they would refund the postage, but of course they never did despite repeated requests. Clearly this started with their error, (as proven by the receipt invoice not matching the camera in the package), yet in the end, they have made me pay for their mistake.

My comments on CCTVTEK reply of 18/6/20.
CCTVTEK: "I have looked into this and it appears that the return was sent to an incorrect address meaning this heavily delayed the returns process."
Me: Well the issue mentioned above is not one of delay, is it? it is one of you STILL owing money for YOU sending me the wrong camera. CCTVTEK received the camera back on Feb 14th at one of their 2 addresses, and then it was received at normal returns address 2 weeks later, end of February! It is now mid June. If there is any delay, I don't think it is me!
But if you want to cloud the issue with where a camera that I never ordered was sent, look at your email to me of 7/2/20: "we can arrange collection" (from me). But CCTVTEK did NOT arrange collection, neither did they send a returns label, they then asked me to pay myself to send it back and I would be refunded - which has not happened, even though CCTVTEK have the camera since February, despite several requests. I already sent CCTVTEK (on 14/2/2020) proof of the return postage cost paid on 12/2/20. Because CCTVTEK didn't collect or send a return labeI, I did cause delay in it getting to the returns department itself by sending it to the CCTVTEK main address, not noticing there was a goods return address in one of your emails... and where in the complaint above do I mention delay? I haven't delay but neither have I mentioned the hours of filling in your refund forms for a camera I never ordered, packing the camera I never ordered, and taking the camera I never ordered to a post office. Yes, my mistake sending to your company address not returns address, but you have had it at the correct address since end of February, and it should have been completely unnecessary for me to do any return if CCTVTEK had collected as promised (or supplied returns label as others do). CCTVTEK sent the wrong camera, CCTVTEK promised to collect, CCTVTEK made me go through a time consuming company returns form/process when CCTVTEK had sent me something that I hadn't ordered, CCTVTEK told me they would refund postage if I paid and sent the receipt - I did all that at their request, they didn't refund. Why answer about delay? CCTVTEK have been withholding repayment for the 3.5 months since they received the camera at
the correct returns department address and 4 months since they received it back in the company!
CCTVTEK: "If you would send me a copy of the postage receipt, I would be more than happy to refund the postage charges for you."
Me: The receipt was sent to CCTVTEK as requested at the time, by email, on 14/2/2020 for payment I made to Royal Mail Group Receipt No: 4170-9863-6780-6359 on 12/2/2020, & I have been asking for it to be repaid since CCTVTEK admitted receiving the returned camera. CCTVTEK have my address, CCTVTEK even have my bank account details, CCTVTEK have had the receipt they want for months, easy to say " more than happy refunding... " ... actions, not words please!
I can now extend the complaint. CCTVTEK were 'spec-ing' everything that was needed, and after recommending a camera and lead, separately they told me that I needed to buy a VGA converter (email from CCTVTEK to me 2/01/2020) and, trusting them completely, I ordered one from them for £15. It turns out that I didn't need one at all, the type of camera I actually ordered (but was sent a different one) plugs straight into the screen from the RG59 cable into the video input, the VGA converter they said I needed to buy is completely redundant and need not have been purchased.
