Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 175 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people reported extreme difficulty contacting the company, as there is often no working phone number or email address, and their website contact forms frequently redirect to payment portals. Customers also faced significant challenges with the appeal process, finding that their appeals were denied without clear reasons or that the timeframe for appealing had already passed upon receiving the initial notice. This often led to fines increasing rapidly, with many receiving demands for higher amounts after initial reductions or no communication. Furthermore, many customers reported receiving parking charges for locations they never visited or for situations where they had legitimate reasons to park, often with incorrect photographic evidence. Some people also mentioned receiving letters with strong demands, including demands for court action, even after attempting to resolve the issues or providing proof of payment.

Parked at Marshall’s Yard

Parked at Marshall’s Yard, in Gainsborough purchased a ticket but machine was playing up and I had 3 attempts before I actually got a ticket. We left in plenty of time but got a letter 3 days later with a fine of £100 ( the ticket was only for 50p), with no actual reason for the fine. We appealed and sent proof of the ticket but over 2 months later we received the letter turning down our appeal and given £20 off if we pay with 14 days but if you want to carryon the appeal you won’t get a discount!!! We have no option but to pay as like everyone says they are rogues and one thing is certain we will never visit Marshall’s Yard again. Best of it is I have a disabled badge and we could have parked at most car parks in Gainsborough for free!

They are an absolute disgrace

They are an absolute disgrace of a company i was using the drive through at Starbucks on Portland on the 17th march and i had a parking fine from them stating that i had parked in their car park for 24hrs when i blatantly hadn't as i used the drive through to get a coffee before going to work. I have appealed as i refuse to pay it

Absolutely disgusting

Absolutely disgusting, they make it impossible to appeal properly, they have drop down options that don’t always fit the reason, no option to write the reason, I had my elderly mother with me who is disabled and a blue badge holder. We were late getting back to the car due to her mobility issue, I didn’t know how I could give them this information so just uploaded evidence of her disability badge. There system is completely wrong and set up to fail an appeal. Honestly totally against the Equality Act. They need to change and at least give a box where you can write reason, I tried to edit it after I submitted to add a photo of written reason but wouldn’t let me. So annoying.

Discriminative and non Inclusive to non digital users

My Uncle brought his penalty to me in a terrible state. He has no internet, no smart phone, basically no digital assets, which is very common of folk of a certain age group. Neither does he want any financial help from myself or assistance. I have emailed them complaining but no great surprise, the email bounced back. There is no telephone number other than on the Google Search result which also is not recognised when dialed.
I don't know what else I can do to help him, other to reassure him that probably nothing will happen. I have suggested he visits his bank to discuss with them to hopefully assist.
Terrible company.

CIvil enforcement are SCUM I am constantly ignored by this company…

I am constantly ignored by this company I was in a KFC Car park looking for my missing wallet which the KFC manager was happy to confirm
The signage was hidden under a bush the time I was in the car park was 18 minutes the fine I received states
Reason for fine

‘ Exceeding the notified maximum free parking period of 60 minutes/remaining in the car park during notified restricted hours

I was there for 18 minutes how is that exceeding
I have written to them I have emailed them I received a man offer to pay £20 ! That’s all !
I spoke to the manager who contacted them they still ignored me this company should be struck off and prosecuted for harassment I am 68 with high blood pressure

They are still pursuing me now through the court - how can this be allowed ?
CIvil Enforcement are a disgrace how do you appeal when they don’t accept your appeal - Now I’m sent a mediator notice ! SCUM

Am fed up with trying to pay my parking…

Am fed up with trying to pay my parking fine, it keeps going up & can not contact the Civil Enforcement Team. I have tried the on-line method many of times, the fine amount of £170 is approved by my bank but the money is not taken by the Civil Enforcement Department.

My elderly father who is disabled…

My elderly father who is disabled parked at his local pharmacy he attends monthly and put his Registration number in the terminal provided, not easily I hasten to add he is 84. Apparently he didn't or may have incorrectly and received a notice, I appealed on his behalf, and of course they sent out the usual waffle, an automated appeal template, denying it naturally.
I went to the land-owner and resolved it with them, thank goodness. However my advice send a DSAR to their data protection officer, they have 30 days to respond, and have to send you everything they have on record regarding you and your alleged fine, also look them up on companies House, it's a real eye-opener!!

Unable to contact them

Unable to contact them.
I have received notice that I have to pay a reduced parking fine of £20. When I went to pay yesterday the amount remaining was still £60. I thought I’d wait a day for it to update and today it is asking for £100. I am happy to pay the £20 for my mistake but I don’t know how to. Reference against this payment is 171033809620..

Rogue Traders

Cannot phone these rogue traders as only number is for payment only. Google number does not work
Claim they have photographic evidence but no way to see it, nor the signage that would cover the alleged offence

A shower of charlatans

What a shower of charlatans - very poor signage warning drivers of the hours of operation - natural presumption of free evening use of car park, no option to contact customer service by email or phone, nasty threats. What a vile way of making a living.

Legal Daylight Robbery

Just received a parking ticket from CIVIL ENFORCEMENT PARKING.
Yes, I am guilty of parking where I shouldn't, and the fine is £100, but paid within 14 days of issue, it becomes £60.
I just thought you 'all' should know, and be aware of.
What nasty people they are.
Just be aware that there are many companies, robbing us of our money. Even Tesco has a company doing the same. Mind you, there are these 'robbers' all over the county!
I have paid this penalty already. My car was parked on this day, the 27th of February. They don't hang around do they, leaches, all of them.

Cowboys with a licence to print money.
I got sent a ticket and the only proof of my parking was a picture entering the car park and exiting . No picture of me acually parking. So they can take me to court.

Fraudulent Company

I would not give even a single star for this rogue company. Their website is unusable to submit appeals. I was fortunate enough to make a video of this and a screen shot of momentary message of "your appeal has been submitted" which vanishes. No way to contact them. I googled and found the postal address to submit my parking was valid through registered post. The response I received was to submit my documents using their unusable website. My repeated e mail submissions were ignored and repeat of the same PCN issued. On writing a stern letter with legal back up, I received a number to go to POPLA. I submitted all the evidence and e mails to POPLA to be told that company has withdrawn my PCN so did not have to pay. Unless if you have the time and energy to fight against such unfairness, I can see people giving in. I am so glad that I did not. Absolutely awful company who is there to torture you to take money!

Missed a time limit for 10 mins and got a £100 fine.

Received a £100 for parking at a Leisure centre and missed the time limit for a few minutes for the first time. Registered my car and everything, was just 10 minutes late.
Not even an initial warning, £100 straight away. For "parking on private land".
They treat you like a criminal.
Well tell you what, keep your private land, you ain't seeing a single more £ from me.
The law may be on your side, but sure enough you ain't creating any value to society. You are just predators.

Absolute scam to make them money

Absolute scam to make them money , it’s designed to make you fail when you appeal, even when you are in the right. Lots of unnecessary inconvenience which causes stress and miss belief that this can be allowed. If I had the money I’d be taking them to court. Anyone that feels they are in the right, then I hope you stand your ground against these scumbag criminals.

Unfriendly Website. Needs Improvement.

Extremely unfriendly website to use for Leasing companies when transferring liability to the end user. It never used to be. Also the user does not need to know about a previous court case CE won years ago. Why? I am also sure they should not demand a contact email address and telephone number for the end user on ToL. An address is sufficient under MoU for leasing companies as advised by the BPA, IPS and BVRLA. We have now reverted back to postal on ToL. Anyone who lease a vehicle and if you come across a car park operated by Civil Enforcement. Do Not Use.
