Plastic shreds (2cm) long in my BIscoff Milk Cake
This review is regarding the Starcity Birmingham Branch of Chaiiwala. I ordered a couple of fastfood bites along with a take out of Biscoff Milk cake for my daughters. On having the first few bites my daughter complained of bits of plastic which I couldn't believe so me and my wife had a few more of the Cake to find at least 10 plus small to large bits of plastic which looked like a shred of some plastic lid during preparation. This should flag a major safety investigation and concern for the restaurant. I cake wasn't too bad it taste but the plastic bits completely ruined it. I do have pictures of it which I have attached on my google review. I believe this isn't the first instance of plastics bits being found. There were reviews from November with the same experience. It will be hard to go back there again.
chai wala, just change with toilet smell wala
Review for Chai Wala – Unit 177B, The Harlequin, Watford WD17 2TQ
Very poor experience. The shop was extremely busy, yet only one young girl was handling all the customers on her own. This resulted in a very long wait just to place and receive orders. It is clearly poor management trying to save money by understaffing and putting all the pressure on one staff member is unfair and unacceptable.
On top of that, the strong toilet smell completely ruined the café experience. This seems to be a common issue across Chai Wala branches. A café is meant to be a place to relax and enjoy a hot drink, but the unpleasant smell makes it worse, not better. The smell is so strong that it sticks to your clothes even after leaving.
Overall, this is a serious management failure. Poor service, poor hygiene standards, and no concern for customer experience. Shameful behaviour by Chai Wala management.
Ordered a bombay sandwich from chaiwala…
Ordered a bombay sandwich from chaiwala at Luton Airport, when I received the sandwich, it was burnt and hard. Not edible at all. Went to the desk for another, staff abruptly refused.
good and hot food and fresh x
I want to thank Sarah
I want to thank Sarah at chaiwala in staines for making my experience every morning getting a chai so pleasant and wonderful :) amazing food and service :)
Not worth , food might be fine but unethical and rude behaviour…
They charge for 50p additional for tomato catchup..no taste .. owner seems in cloud 9 . Worst experience in Glasgow .
Chai Wala in Feltham
I went to Chai Wala in Feltham. I ordered an aloo burger for £4.50. It ws the smallest burger I had ever seen. I also ordered some chips. A very large portion of lukewarm, undercooked frozen chips arrived. I managed to eat about half of them before my stomach started feeling not too great. I left the rest, I will not be going back.
What you're about to see is vile!
What you're about to see is vile!
This is me having picked out more than 20 hairs from my chaiwala butter chicken rice bowl, or at least what I thought were hairs.
After returning for a refund, quite livid I must say, The worker behind the till said that it can't be hair because the chefs haven't got grey/white hair... which was followed up by a comment about the bowls shedding plastic into the food!
This is cancer material and for the bowls to be shedding this much I'm surprised they haven't had a lawsuit. Whether they lied about it being hair or not this is diabolical so I certainly won't be returning. I would steer clear for your own health and safety.
Chaiiwala, sort this out or you'll lose more customers.
I’ve put a photo of the smallest strand of chicken I could find incase anyone thinks this could be chicken. It’s clearly not!
Just got to the end and seen I can’t post photos… that’s a bit useless isn’t it.
Anyone who wants to see them go on Google reviews of Rotherham Chaiiwala and it’s the one star review posted on the 6th November 2025 with the same paragraph.
Great service at Chaiiwala in Stains…
Great service at Chaiiwala in Stains riverside. Place was clean and warm welcome service provided by Sarah. Great to see smiley faces which we don’t often see on some of the snack bars now days.

Chaiiwala Mellor
Went to the Chaiiwala Mellor Brook Blackburn and ordered two hot chocolate drinks-£3+ each along with other food items. The drinks were both warm and not hot and both the cups were slightly more than half full. 5 sips and it was finished! When I asked if it was usual to underfill the cups, I was told it was due to a faulty milk machine and they didn't realise how much was in the cup. I would have expected them to at least check before serving and even offer to top up the cup, but no such offer. Has anyone else experienced the 'half-filled' drink cup issues?
Fantastic Service
"Chai Wala is fantastic! Abbas provided excellent, friendly service, and the chai was perfect—rich and aromatic. The samosas are crispy and the loaded fries are amazing. Cozy atmosphere, great food, and highly recommended!"

It was 08:18 am and my breakfast experience was simple amazing. I am very happy with the cleanliness, staff engagement and the food was delicious. I'm looking forward to be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Avoid Milton Keynes branch - Poor customer service
Milton Keynes branch - avoid avoid avoid
In cannot tell you how long I was excited for this to open. Was so happy to be able to visit and headed to the counter to ask about some of the dishes that I was unfamiliar with but really wanted to try.
I stood there like an idiot for 5 mins having made eye contact with staff numerous times but no interaction. Saturday early doors (10:40ish am ) with very few customers. Chap into store walked up to the end of the counter to speak to a friend and was served instantly, despite being told by myself and another man queuing behind me that we both was waiting to be served.
The person behind me in the queue called out to a staff member about getting us some service and was greeted with a frosty attitude and no apology. Cannot begin to fathom what service would be like when they are busy.
What a disappointment, anyone know of any different Indian Street food options in MK?
Poor choice
For an "indian street food" outlet there was no choice at all for vegetarians. In this day it is impossible to understand the thought process behind serving the clientele they aim to capture

Have been going to tooting Chaiwalla…
Have been going to tooting Chaiwalla for a few years and most time it’s good but today was terrible .I asked for onion and tomato and green chilli omelette wrap without cheese repeated this three times and they had added cheese which doesn’t agree with me at all .Also the roti was raw and doughy .weirdly they know me and know my order but still managed to get it wrong .also the sausage roll was very lukewarm warm and the hot cabinet was not on .i have already given my feedback to them
