I am an advocate of English sparkling…

I am an advocate of English sparkling wine, but this fell well short. Perhaps because I live in the Camel Valley area and love their wine? I don't know. Chapel Down was fizzy then flat within moments, it's taste was good but then felt off. No vintage on our bottle, not worth the money. I would rather pay more for something special, like Camel Valley.

My first encounter with Chapel Down Gin

I had my first encounter with Chapel Down wines back in 2009 at The Allotment restaurant in Dover.
Since then it’s been a regular wine that I’ve purchased.
I recently phoned them regarding a delivery of the new Bacchus Gin for my brother’s birthday (a bit late on my part). Extremely helpful staff who got my order sent out and delivered on time, according to my brother the gin was fantastic!
I recently received a bottle of the same gin directly from Chapel Down and can confirm that this is a great gin.
Very happy with the product and great service!

Poor service

I ordered a bottle from Chapel Down for my sister’s birthday, from their website. They delivered it a day late & when I complained they replied that “our delivery time is currently 5-7 days, which was stated on the confirmation email.” That was not the information on their website, which gave a precise delivery date (my sister’s birthday).

You must go to Chapel Down winery!

If you haven’t heard of - or, even better, visited - Chapel Down winery in Tenterden, Kent, this should be on your list! They offer truly amazing sparkling and other wines (and also beer and gin, although I’ve not tried those) and have first class customer care. We have been going along to buy our fizz and other wine from them for almost 10 years and they always delight. Recently we had a small issue with one of their bottles and they sent us 6 FOC as an apology. Totally unexpected and very gratefully received. Thank you!
