In all the years I have been dealing with companies selling Japanese products, I have never ever dealt with one as awful as Charming Sushi. Last year I put down a deposit on a pre-order figure. The release date kept getting delayed, but because of the covid pandemic, I was very understanding of it. Then finally, in February, I got a request for the remainder of the money as the item would be available on 11th April. I paid immediately. Fast forward until May and I still hadn’t received the figure. I sent the company an email and also tried to contact them via their website for an update but received no reply. After a week I tried to contact them via PayPal. Again, no reply. After escalating the case with PayPal, I finally had my money returned. But not the initial deposit, that is gone forever. An absolute disgrace of a company. I will never use again, if I could give 0 stars I would.

I ordered a figure back in mid 2021 (juneish) and it arrived super quick - Next day although it was advertised to be more than 2 days. I had my full trust in this shop as it arrived before the time it should've been.

However, I preordered another figure but it never arrived. I ordered this back in (May-June) 2021 and it was a preorder expecting to release in November. I expected a response/email regarding a dispatch, but nothing. I contacted in December and they said it will be delayed till late jan. I waited till late jan but nothing. Since then I sent numerous emails, and DMs across all platforms and got absolutely nothing in reply.

The thing which makes me frustrated is I commented on the shops latest Instagram post and they ignored mine. I seen other people had the same issue and I thought to reply to that sharing my experience - Another person comments after our discussion and the shop replied right away to them, but not the other 3 people in discussion.

After that, i opened a dispute for the figure as i've waited nearly a year and got nothing. I'm getting a partial refund as I paid £8 to deposit for figure (assuming i'll never get that because of the lack of replies and social presense).

From the terrible customer service, no updates/replies and unreliability for preorders I'd say go to another shop which is more reliable especially for ordering. Can't say much for the figures in stock, as mine arrived straight away.

Disappointed because I recommended this shop to many people and I got treated like this.

The product arrived fairly quickly and is exactly as advertised so no problems there. However I emailed 3 times to try and get an update and had no response at all. I think the customer service could have been a bit better tbh.

Good item but their customer service is terrible they don’t respond so I didn’t know if I was going to receive my item or not

I placed an order in February and still haven’t received it, I have contacted the email a number of times and used the contact form on the website with no response at all so I’m now out of pocket - don’t recommend!

Ordered figurine in February and never recieved it. Emailed site and Instagram but no response. I wouldn't care if it was delayed but the fact they don't even respond is shocking.

Much better than other stores (e.g. elohimsaga). The quality of the figure is good and the speed of which it was delivered to me was passable.

Pre-Ordered 9 Figures back in Aug-Sept 2021 and still have not received any of them. Tried emailing, no response. Tried social media, nothing. Tried asking a trader friend to ask them as they knew them personally, still nothing came from it. I have tried every option I could possibly do, still out of pocket over £100 with nothing in return. I find this very disappointing as I have bought from them before previously, at con and in person and it has been fine. But now I feel totally let down, disappointed and feel ripped off. Some of these were meant to be presents, its a good thing my friends are understanding about the way this has turned out.

Another great delivery from CharmingSushi. The figure was perfect and well packaged as always. Will be purchasing again very soon I’m sure. Thank you

Brilliant experience!
My parcel got slightly delayed due to con season and storms, however I got in contact with them and they offered an upgrade of my shipping so it arrived on the expected date
Came in amazing condition and I am very very happy with how she looks!

Great store and service to the customer. Packaged well and received updates on delays due to Brexit for some preorders. Seems like a genuinely nice store owner.

I checked out the reviews of Charming Sushi before ordering and was reassured that they weren’t a scam company and they were going to send out the items I wanted.

I ordered my items and they were with me within 48 working hours. I am on my way to their website to order again. If you’re into Japanese things and decent delivery I’d definitely recommend Charming Sushi.

My order arrived good quality, packed well and securely. They even included a small gift. The only issue I had was due to what I ordered. I recommend buying or pre-ordering through separate orders otherwise they will wait until both items arrive before sending them to you. I had to wait a few months for my full order because one item was delayed. Therefore I suggest buying separately or telling them to ship each item alone. Other than that, my order was great, and the staff communicated well with me. I would definitely order here again :)
