DO NOT USE THEM. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

This was the first and last time I will ever use cheap caribbean. I booked a trip for May 2020 and obviously had to cancel due to covid lockdowns. Airlines and hotel refunded them but they refused to give refunds, only travel credit for future trip. Had to cancel new trip again due to covid and they tried to charge $200 per person airline cancelation fees even though airline did not charge it. Fast forward 2 years later, another cancelation due to someone testing positive for covid 2 days prior and they again charged 200 per person airline fee, 100 per person "Brand fee", 1 night hotel fee and 176 for airport transfers. $2,081 total charge. I paid additional for my flights for " no change or cancellation fees". The airport transfer fee is just stealing my money. The transfer company policy is no fees if canceled by 4pm day prior and I canceled by 11am day prior. They kept my money for return to airport also which was 5 days later so WAY before the no fee cancel period. Cheap Caribbean is dishonest and stealing from customers. I guess they don't care about repeat business. DO NOT EVER book with them. They also do not have a lot of the good hotels you can find on your own and flight choices are limited. I am having to argue thru emails to get my airport transfers money refunded wasting hour of my time when it clearly is refundable.
UPDATE: cheap caribbean replies immediately to this original post to reach out to them and when you do....they completely ignore and don't respond. Another example of their TERRIBLE customer service.

DO NOT USE CHEAP CARIBEAN FOR TRAVEL

If I could give them a zero I would, I booked a trip with them with insurance and then my daughter passed I had to cancel. They did tell me I have a credit, so I rebooked, then had to cancel because my partner was hospitalized for two weeks. They again told me I had a credit, when I tried to use it they gave me a lower amount of credit even though I have TWO emails from them telling me the correct amount of the credit. Every person you deal with is helpful, but not able to make decisions and getting a manager takes forever. It took me over a month to get this resolved, NOT to my satisfaction, but they hold the cards. DO NOT USE

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. Booked a vacation and purchased their travel protection which said I could make changes at no cost and could cancel for any reason and receive 75% of my money back. They changed one of my flights without my knowledge and when I called to try and change it, they stated there would be no fee and then told me I had to put another $1,000 towards my deposit to “confirm the change” and that making this change would voice my travel insurance and I’d have to purchase again. Furious, I decided to just cancel my trip. I spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get them to honor my 75% money back. They finally agreed, but basically called me a thief as the call was finishing. I just rebooked my trip by myself…. $1,500 cheaper than what cheap Caribbean charged me. They are a giant scam.

I would give ZERO stars if I could!

I would give ZERO stars if I could. DO NOT book international from US with Cheap Caribbean. Once you are out of the US you are on your own for travel rebooking accommodations and transportation if you are stranded or delayed for any reason (weather, etc.). They DO NOT answer the phone while you are traveling and they DO NOT honor the call back if you are on hold for hours like the voice system claims. The hotel you chose will give you the Worst possible room even if you place a request when booking. We had a medical emergency and received NO HELP from the in travel Cheap Caribbean number even though they claim they are supposed to assiat with getting help. My husband almost died due to our inability to secure an ambulance to the hospital or a paramedic to our condo (that we had to move to and pay out of pocket for due to travel delays)! The is our 2nd and LAST time using CHEAP Caribbean. Save yourself the headaches, money, travel terror and potential death outside of the US. Thankfully knowing Spanish I was able to get is through this Horror show of a vacation. And if you must book through this terrible company, add the travel protection plus or your are completely screwed and your booking is useless. AVOID CHEAP Caribbean!

Never again and do NOT recommend to use!

Purchased All-inclusive package. Received only flight details, no hotel confirmation or any other details.
No customer service at all. Chat option cannot solve any issues, all they can advise is to call the 800 number. No live person on this number ever. You can listen to music till your retirement.
Sounds like fraud or scam website, will have to report to BBB.

Customer service

I had an issue booking restaurants in advance for our upcoming trip to Mexico. The resort app said they could not find my room reservation. I was nervous after reading these reviews and called customer service. I had zero wait and spoke with an extremely friendly woman that put my mind at ease. She called the hotel and got the correct reservation number for me that the app needed. It worked and we are good to go with restaurant reservations and pre booked into our resort. I had a great experience calling customer service!

Stay away!!!

Cheap Caribbean ended up costing me hours upon end of my time and is now trying to steal my money.
We originally booked a trip to Jamaica in February 2020 (pre COVID) planning to travel in December 2020. As the trip got closer, we noticed Jamaica's restrictions were almost unreasonable. We called Cheap Caribbean and asked to transfer our credits to a different location due to precautions in place in Jamaica. We spent several hours on the phone, but they rebooked us 2 trips for the price we had paid for one. Great, right?! NOT. Whomever rebooked the trip, did not apply the credits to our new reservation, so the day we went to check in for our flight, it said we did not have a trip itinerary. This was a Sunday, so naturally, we were not able to reach any one by phone. We proceeded to be able to get a new trip booked but still had credits left after this trip.
In April 2021, we booked a new trip for December 2021. I was told I had remaining credits that could apply to the down payment. I also put down money at that time. In early November 2021, I had to finish paying for the trip. I called and made the payment and received email confirmation that my trip was paid in full. In the weeks that followed, I kept receiving emails stating that our trip was not paid in full. I called Cheap Caribbean each time I received these emails and each time I was assured, "Do not worry, your trip is paid for." WRONG AGAIN. 3 days before my trip I received a cancellation notice. I called the company and they said it was not paid for, even though I had received mutliple emails stating that it was. We did not end up traveling at that point due to the company's error. I am not trying to book a trip with the $4,349.34 that I paid last year and they are saying that only the people who were traveling last year are able to use them. Even though I am the only person who paid for it. All with my credit card. Stay away from this company. Use expedia or some other agency.

Overpriced

We paid more than twice what the person sitting beside us paid for air. Our seats were next to the toilet, and none of us were together. My courtyard view was of a door going into the courtyard and was close to busy elevators. I had a $100 credit (via email from CC.com) that Cheap Caribbean would not let me use. They said it was too late (5 minutes after booking). Their transport bus (shared with other families) costs much more than a personal taxi would have and takes longer due to the multiple stops. Perhaps it was in the fineprint, but we had to pay for our checked luggage both coming and going. We also were charged a $50.00 per day resort fee upon checking out which CC.com did not mention. I have used them fairly successfully in the past, but will not be using them again. We could have done much better booking the hotel and air on our own.

Fraud and Extortion at Breathless Punta Cana via CheapCaribbean

Fraud and Extortion at Breathless Punta Cana

At 9pm on Friday July 29th my son was FORCIBLY REMOVED from his room at Breathless Punta Cana by security personnel. They asked him to leave the property immediately due to a supposed FRAUDULENT RESERVATION. My family reserved and PAID for 4 rooms in this resort, (the 7th time we have been at Breathless), months before out trip.

The night manager, Fabio, insisted that they had received an email from our travel agent, CheapCaribbean (also owned by AMR/Apple Leisure) that the reservation was fraudulent for 2 of our 4 rooms. We promptly showed them copies of reservations and payment receipts for all 4 rooms that were made months ahead of time. The night manager would not give us a copy of this supposed email from CheapCaribbean, claiming it was proprietary company information. So, we had to take his word for it. The fact that we showed him all the documentation didn’t seem to matter. Either repay the entire amount of the rooms or leave the property immediately at 10pm in a foreign country with nowhere to go. We were extorted into paying the full amount or leave the property in the middle of the night.

CheapCaribbean was closed and we were not able to contact anyone from the agency. We begged Fabio to at least wait until morning so we could get this sorted out. NO, pay the entire amount or leave the property right now. With no other choice, we paid.

The next morning, we met with the resort sub-director, Rafael Almonte, who basically reiterated what the night manager had stated. Again, any request for proof or documentation was denied and we had to take his word for it. We asked to see the hotel manager, Javier Rufino, but were told he was out of town.

When we got back in the US, we called CheapCaribbean and they claimed they had no knowledge of any email sent for a fraudulent reservation.

DO NOT USE Cheap Caribbean.com! BEWARE

Cheap Caribbean.com charged me for a 12yo child that was supposed to stay free at The Crown Paradise Club resort in Cancun, Mexico. The hotel's website states that children 12yo and younger stay free. This information and the child's age is on the receipt from Cheap Caribbean.com. Cheap Caribbean.com never responded to my many emails regarding the charges and they were VERY unprofessional. They hung up on me when I was at the hotel trying to dispute the charge and they told me that they had withdrawn funds from my account without my approval. The hotel refused to refund or acknowledge the overpayment. It appeared that this was normal practice for Cheap Caribbean.com and the Crown Paradise Club resort in Cancun, Mexico, as the other party that I was with and another party that was checking into the hotel had similar issues. DO NOT USE CHEAP CARIBBEAN.COM. THEY ARE A FRAUD AND THEY ARE GUILTY OF FALSE ADVERTISMENT!!! THEY ARE A SCAM!!! This site does not deserve the 1 star that I had to give them!

So awful. Don't do it!!!

I booked a trip for me and my partner to Jamaica in July for my birthday. Due to passport issues (thanks US government), I had to reschedule. Now I am paying TWICE what I was paying because of an issue that is not my problem. I sat on hold for HOURS and this process caused way too much stress. I will NEVER use this cheap-ass website again. I want to go on vacation, get this over with and behind me. This was the WORST decision I have ever made and I have made some really bad decisions, people!!!! DON'T USE THIS WEBSITE!!! SAVE YOURSELF!!!!

Booked a vacation through Cheap…

Booked a vacation through Cheap Caribbean at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort in Playa Del Carmen. Cheap Caribbean did not disclose that the beaches in Playa Del Carmen are inundated with seaweed. You could not swim, and it made the beach smell. Cheap Caribbean did not disclose that there would be sales people following you around, relentlessly begging you to buy something. These people were aggressive and did not take no for an answer. They would come up to you on the beach, at the pool, walking through the resort...it was happening 30-50 times a day. Is that the experience you want on a relaxing vacation? To be harassed by people to buy things? Cheap Caribbean also did not disclose that we would have to spend a lot of additional money for food and drinks outside of the resort, because the food at the all inclusive Sandos is inedible. They do not properly store foods on the buffet at the right temperature, so everything that should be hot is just sitting out in the Mexican heat collecting flies and bacteria. A rep from Cheap Caribbean contacted me and said they'll reach out to the resort and request a refund, but nothing can be done if they don't. I paid through Cheap Caribbean, not the resort directly. So Cheap Caribbean should be issuing me a refund and then contacting the resort to get their money back. I was told that a manager would reach out to me the following day, which never happened and that was 3 days ago. I want my money back
