Signed up to check my credit report for…

Signed up to check my credit report for $1.00 said I would get a refund and I never did. A week later I get a message from my bank saying this website tried to take $39.90 out of my account when I never approved or signed up for a subscription! This website is a scam!

Do not used Check Free Score Web Site.

When I used Check Free Score web site, I was asked for one dollar to try the service. I agreed and gave them one of my back up credit cards. They couldn't process my request and logged me out. One month later they charge my card $39.90 and another $39.90 the following month. When I try to call Check Free Score, they ask for my SS # before I can talk to a real person. I'll just let the bank fix it. I had to shut down my credit card and have the bank issue a new card.

Sketchy and Misleading

Checkfreescore.com doesn’t offer a free credit score. In the fine print it says “you have the right to receive a free credit report, a free credit score is not included”. I had not read the fine print when I selected the button to view my score. I was able to login and cancel my subscription effective immediately. I blame Yahoo. My PC automatically resets to Yahoo after every update. I typed annualcreditreport.com into the Yahoo search bar and it gave me this sketchy misleading website. If I type the same thing into the Google search bar my 1st search result is the correct site.

Looking for an apartment

Looking for an apartment, got a text from a 'landlord' Saturday evening. We talked and then they sent me an email to do the credit app, which was checkfreescore.com. The email was sent from Europe so I knew right away that something was up since I was looking in the Cincy area. This smells so bad that the stench will stay with me for a while.

A SCAM

A SCAM: I paid $1 to get my credit score, but was charged $39 a week later for a monthly prescription of common things I already have. When I complained they said they could reduce it to $29 but when I refused the offer $19 then $9. I hung up and call my credit card company who had already locked my card. Now have to get a new card - again.

I signed up for their service on the 7 day trial. Signed up on 11-15-2024. I'm a disabled Vet & got sick during that time & missed the date to cancel by ONE DAY!! They went ahead & charged me $29.95, even tho I called to cancel & had to speak
with a friggin' AI "rep" for cancelation. IT/SHE said that
IT would put in request to refund the charge. Well, guess these people are like the majority of today's
businesses! Greed over people & quality of service.
Has been NO refund for ONE DAY over trial period due to illness!
Sure will NOT recommend them for anything!!

The title of the company is misleading

The title of the company is misleading. They charge $30 a month and if you aren’t reading carefully they claim it’s a valid charge. I should have read the fine print better but that’s absurd. DO NOT USE THIS SITE.

Also, the automated system saying “I hear you” felt annoying.

Rip off artists. . I recently noticed some charges on my…

I recently noticed some charges on my PayPal account that I did not authorize so I looked them up and it was from checkfreescore.com. I immediately reported it to PayPal and they refunded my money immediately and two days after they reversed the decision on the behalf of the seller which means they took the money right back out of my account which left me $58 in the hole. I don't know how PayPal get the information to make their decisions about these situations but they need to revise their methods. It seems to me the PayPal is helping checkfreescore.com to rip people off. So this is kind of a review for both PayPal and for checkfreescore.com
If I could give less than one star I certainly would. Shame on you both

Job scam with this page link for credit report

This company from pl hiring says to fill out their form for a credit report. They tell you it's only to look for red flags. It's not the link for the real website. I know this because I've used them before. They are also saying they are from a company that the name isn't right either.

Sleazy scam bags

I did not realize when I (apparently) signed up that this was a ripoff. $40 a month for something I have never used and I don’t need. Trying to get a refund is a big waste of time. I’m going to have to take them to court to get my $160 back. I am on a fixed income and I would never have signed up for this pile of crap if I had known it was $40 a month.

Checkfreescore charged my credit card…

Checkfreescore charged my credit card AFTER I cancelled my service. An employee of my credit card company, Discover, let me know that MANY Discover card holders have complained about checkfreescore company. Stay away from checkfreescore...waste of so much time with their poor, poor service. Also, they do not answer their phones (I called them 8 times at three different phone numbers)...A BIG JOKE of a company.

To get a free credit report they get…

To get a free credit report they get your credit card information to charge you $1 to prove you are who you say you are and then a week later you discover a charge for $39.90 for a membership that you didn’t sign up for and then when you call them they deny it and then refuse to refund you the money charged to your credit card! They lie about everything!

It is an automated operator who offers you a lower & lower monthly fee to try to keep your business. then finally says it is cancelled- to receive an email in 6 hours...I will be calling back if no email arrives today.
CRAZY. I cancelled right away back in March.
Had just resaw monthly charge.

Total scam

Total scam! Tried recurring charges to my bank card and triggered a fraud alert! If you want to get rid of them, call your bank and cancel your debit card and just get a new one! Report these people to the Federal Trade Commission and Consumer Protection Bureau! Stop them one person at a time!
