What a waste of money
What a waste of money. There were a few stalls selling cheese, and only 2-3 of those were offering any samples. Raclette was available for sale only.
There appeared some tenuous links to Wallace & Grommet, but not worth the entry price.
I suspect that event the traders felt that it was not worth their time, effort or fees.
Disappointing Day Out
What a sham!My daughter and I booked two advance tickets at £11 each to attend what was advertised as a “cheesefest” . When we arrived there appeared to be a small selection of stalls selling quite expensive cheeses . No sign of Wallace and Grommet just a few props from their movies and a dvd on a loop which you could not hear over the one man band. What made this worse was my husband purchased a ticket for £6 on the day .Keep your money and take a trip to your local Waitrose where you can purchase all the cheeses at a fairer price (Glasgow )
Peterborough cheese fest - not a fest! Avoid!
Visited the Peterborough Cheese Fest on 16th Nov. We travelled an hour and a half to get here as we couldn’t make our nearer one but what an absolute waste of time and money. £8 each to get into a cold smoke-filled shed with just a few stalls. No raclette as advertised and half of the stalls weren’t even cheese! Don’t waste your time.
Total rubbish
Total rubbish, although sifting through a sulo bin would have been more fun. I can't believe I paid to get in £22 for the family they shouldn't have charged entry as it was basically a continental market in a big cold smoke filled shed!!! 0 out of 10
Not as advertised
Not as advertised.
Some of the stalls mentioned in the advert weren't there and it certainly wasn't a day out. Half an hour would have been more than enough to see all that was there, except you could hardly see it for the smoke filling the chilly shed that the 'event' was held in.
I don't know how Cheesefest could justify charging people to enter,
Disappointing 2 hour outs
Peterborough
Wish I could give zero stars
We had tickets for 10 o'clock but the gates didn't open until ten past
Very few cheese stalls. There were more food stalls to eat at then cheese stalls
About a third of the hanger was tables and chairs which seemed to serve no purpose as they were not near the eating stalls
There were also more fudge, pork pie and scotch eggs type stalls than cheese
A one man band was the live entertainment
It was filled with smoked
No sign of the raclette that was advertised
I saw Wallace appear for about 10 minutes. He held a stuffed Grmit toy
We should have been paid to attend, not have to buy a ticket
Dont waste your momey
Very poor, freezing cold hangar, use a local market instead
How can anyone with a conscious charge £ to get into this. Very few stalls, lots of seating to eat but not one person using it, perhaps it was the freezing cold hangar, (it was not in the main East of England building as implied in the promotional info) or the smokey air (it got progressively smokier as time went on caused by cooking on one of the indoor food stalls). No atmosphere. Several stalls were way overpriced, cheese £4.50 for 100g - £45 a kilo! Don’t waste your time or money - stick to a local market.
Peterborough...Definitely NOT...... A GRAND DAY OUT
Peterborough.... Cheesefest or Cheese farce.
Well what can I say, just spent £60 for a family visit to a smoke filled shed.
What a rip off £10 each to walk round a market.
How exactly this was a cheesefest is beyond me, there was more stalls selling other things than selling cheese.
Live Music was a one man band.
Definitely wont be repeating this experience another time.
Wallace and Gromit were supposed to be in attendance but they must have had enough of the smoke and gone home leaving just a few signs to have your pictures with.
Terrible event planning
Terrible event planning. I paid for tickets for Edinburgh cheesefest and I was never notified that the event had been cancelled. I am still waiting for a refund over 2 weeks later. Avoid at all costs.
don’t bother going.
Went to cheese fest in Aberdeen yesterday. Paid £50 for 6 people including my two grand kids. No sign of Wallace and Grommet just posters for kids to have photos taken with. Tiny samples of cheese available. Huge queues for hot food which was overpriced.
Very poor event. Total rip-off.
Cheese please
Cheese please! What is the point of this outfit if it has such a small cheeses? you go to any semi-decent continental supermarket you are presented with two huge aisles, crammed with various cheesing. Here there is cheddar, some mouldy old stilton thing, and... more cheddar. There was no niche cheese. Hardly any goaten cheeses. I could collect more cheese by hiring a half-sized cow. And it would be a lot cheaper. IF YOU HAVE A CHEESE FESTIVAL THEN YOU NEED TO HAVE SUFFICIENT AMOUNTS OF CHEESES!!!!

CHEESE APLENTY. My friends and I came for the cooking demo, but walked away with a ridiculous variety of cheeses. We're set for every single family gathering until 2020...!!
Sheffield Cheesefest
Went to the Sheffield event, had a lovely time.
There was lots of selection with plenty of variety to choose from.
Loved the halloumi fries and the mac and cheese waffles!
Went to Cheese Fest Sheffield
Went to Cheese Fest Sheffield, not a bad day out. Great selection of stalls, plenty of cheese to taste. Had a great day, would definitely recommend.
What a waste if money
What a waste if money! Went to the Ponds Forge event and between us paid over £60 to look at a few stalls with very few tasting samples. Genuinely struggling to see what we paid for. The live music was one man playing a drum and singing 3 songs. Street food was 4 stalls, hot dog, mac and cheese, cheese sandwich and mozzarella or halloumi fries (which were £6 for four pieces). It was less than a 1/4 of the size of Sheffield food festival which is free!
Not really sure why was charged an…
Not really sure why was charged an entrance fee. The event was tiny. Very expensive for what it was and very little taste samples. Paid £28 for 4 of us to look round for 1 hour.
Robery- avoid
Paid £11 a head for an okay food festival. Very few stalls. One on singer as entertainment. Do not trust any of the 5 star reviews. It would have been okay If entry was free. Utter waste of money, actually I would say it was criminal what they were offering for the money. Go to Sheffield food festival in May; far more stalls, far more entertainment, completely free entry.
Very poor expensive event
Was at Sheffield ponds forge today. Paid £11 to get in to a tatty hall with several cheese stalls and some others selling food products. Very few tasters which were tiny, most didnt offer a taste. Only had 2 hr slots, organisers must have made a fourtune.Only stayed an hour as nothing much to see.

Great atmosphere and a great range of stalls... very happy and would go again
Cheese Heaven!
Had an amazing time at the Milton Keynes event! Great atmosphere great variety. Can't wait to go to the next one!
