A great Morning out

I visited Milton Keynes Cheesefest a couple of weeks ago. Took the kids to see Wallace and grommit and they loved it! Plenty for them to do for a couple of hours. Certainly wouldn’t stay there all day but for £10 it was worth the money.

A couple of hot food options to satisfy your hunger. Lots of cold cheese stalls amongst other tasty treats to take home as well. Cooking demo’s with Sean Wilson were great! Would go again!

Brilliant day out with kids!

We visited the Milton Keynes event a few weeks ago. Brilliant day out with both my kids. Made some clay models which they both loved. The live music performance was great too in my opinion, he had his own twist on some songs and was quite engaging.

There was also a chefs demo every 2 hours, so we got chance to watch him make 2 different meals as we got there midday and you don’t have a time limit on when you leave!

There were plenty of cheese stalls, but also stalls selling cakes, Turkish delights, alcohol, coffee etc which is brilliant as I took my kids and 1 of them is dairy free so he was there for the entertainment, but the variety of stalls meant there was things for both of them to eat and buy. Would definitely go again, cost was cheaper than anything else I can do with 2 kids for 5 hours on a Saturday, no complaints!

Great morning out!

Great morning out!

We went not expecting a lot based on bad reviews / comments but loved it, its not an all day event but we spent a couple of hours there.

It was lacking Wallace and Gromit so was glad I didn't take the children. Not all stalls offered tasting, so we didn't purchase from those stalls as the whole point for me was to taste before buying. We had food for the Raclette and the Halloumi Fries which were amazing. There was also some Cider and Wine to taste.

Everyone was friendly and a lot of money was spent on some amazing cheese.

Was I glad I went? Yes
Would I go again? Yes, although I do feel the entrance fee is quite expensive for what there was.

Great event in Milton Keynes

Great event in Milton Keynes! Really enjoyable morning out, really great buzz around the place and some awesome food on offer. A couple of hours is more than enough to work your way round and have a sit down for the cooking demos/band

Absolute rubbish !

Absolute rubbish !!
We paid £6 each to go to the Milton Keynes event 4pm-6pm. No live music as advertised. Guy dressed as Wallace with a stuffed dog for Gromit.
We basically paid to get in to be sold stuff very few stalls. All expensive. Bought 2 scones that were like hockey pucks.
Thankfully we didn’t take our niece as planned as there was naff all for kids other than the “make models with Aardman” which was make a model of Gromit & nothing else, with pre-prepared kits.
Total waste of money & petrol.

Top day

Great day out for me and my family even though we rarely go out to events like this. The strong smell of cheese as you walked through the doors really helped sell it straight away as well as the large variety of food on offer. Tasters were available from most stalls allowing me to try a bit of everything. Top job

Great time at cheesefest

Great time at cheesefest. Loved the variety of food stands and the Wallace and Gromit addition. Went with my friends and really enjoyed it. Lots of families there with their kids who seemed to love the Wallace and gromit area with the films. An event for everyone.

I was very hesitant to go to this but...

I was very hesitant to go to this cheese festival with the amount of negative reviews I read beforehand, however, it just seems people’s expectations are far to high nowadays.

There were about 6/7 cheese stalls which offered a vast variety of cheeses, with only one or two not offering testers but that didn’t bother me because those that did offer I bought from. There were also the stalls to buy your ‘lunch’ let’s say, from raclette to mozarella sticks, from toasties to Mac and cheese. What I loved as well is there were other stalls with fudge/Turkish delight, scones and other sweet snacks which was a delight to come across after being all cheesed out.

This event exceeded my expectations from reading the reviews beforehand and I would most definitely go back.

Word of advice: it’s not necessarily an all day event, but great for a few hours. People need to appreciate these events aren’t easy and should be grateful this was on in the first place.

All Cheesed out

We all had a fantastic day out. Literally hundreds of different varieties of cheeses available to try and buy. We could hardly carry all out bags we bought so much! Next time it comes to the area we will definitely be going back for round two.

The Cheese Fest with very little cheese

Cheese Fest Milton Keynes:

I was massively disappointed by this event. Having paid £20+ for me and a friend to go, to walk into a half empty room was a let down. There were around 4/5 stalls that sold cheese and the rest were selling biscuits, cider, Turkish delight, whiskey and a variety of other things - whilst these were lovely stalls, it really wasn’t what we’d signed up for.

The sample of cheese were often blocked by crowds of people because there weren’t enough stalls and a lot of the vendors were so busy that we had to wait along time to get their attention. It felt as if it could have been a really good event if it had been created on a larger scale.

Didn’t see Wallace and Gromit and the corner of the room dedicated to them was a little disappointing - however, there were some very happy children making models of gromit (not sure if this was an additional cost).

All in all, I went to a cheese festival and had hardly any cheese. I think the scale of the venue and advertising were let down by the reality of the event. I also wasn’t that happy to see vendors packing away at 4:30 when the tickets said a 6pm close - and we were asked to leave by 5pm (because there was a pink wine event straight after at 6 in the same venue... which was announced after we had bought cheese tickets)

We loved it!

Our family of 4 visited MK and I have to say we loved it... I can see that this event has had a lot of negative reviews but personally we had a great time.

The staff were lovely - the security chatted to our children about their T-shirts and we were greeted with loveliness.

The Wallace and Gromit area was cool - we met Wallace and Gromit, our boys sat in the delivery van and played with the bowling alley and did the activity book - a nice keepsake.

We enjoyed the cooking demos, and learnt about cheese! We had toasties and mozzarella sticks for lunch - a fair amount of choice. We enjoyed the 'one man band' style entertainment.

Not all vendors had samples, and one stall had sticks to try their sauces (seems to be an issue for some) but this is their business decision so not much the organisers can do about that... That was a little disappointing I suppose but we did try lots of cheese and I don’t feel the organisers could’ve had much influence aside from being picky about vendors which speaking from experience is easier said than done!

I did have some ‘constructive feedback’ which I have fedback to the organisers about seating and signage. I do think it was a pity that the venue didn’t have WiFi as signal is poor so couldn’t communicate with our ‘lift’ or be part of the social media action...

There seems to be lots of negative feedback about this event, I look forward to attending the events that the people who are being extremely negative organise... 👍

It met our expectations, maybe others were too high? It was a great atmosphere, we had a great time. We will look forward to going again. We were there for 2 hours.

As with any experience in life - it is what you make it.

Thanks Cheese Fest 🧀

Went to Cheesefest in MK

Went to Cheesefest in MK - a great afternoon had by all - the musician was a real entertainer and the cookery demo was very informative (who knew Sean Wilson - actor who played Martin Platt in Coronation St is a chef and a cheesemaker?) Had the opportunity to taste and buy some lovely cheese, meringues, Brownies and Toffee Vodka. Time flew by - even had chance to have Halloumi Fries and Mozzarella sticks! Delicious!

Disappointing & expensive day out

Experience started badly at Cheesefest Milton Keynes as I’d booked parking as recommended by cheesefest and stewards wouldn’t let me access car park as football fans were leaving. Wallace & Gromit exhibit was disappointing, could have had more to see. Expected more stalls and choice of cheese on some of the stalls was limited. Enjoyed the food from the Raclette stand but moving to the seating area in front of the stage, all the tables were covered with empty food containers, organisation of the event seemed poor.
Overall I felt I’ve had better choices at farmers markets or farm shops so it was a disappointing and overpriced experience.

What’s not to love about cheese!

Thoroughly enjoyed the Cheese Fest in Milton Keynes today. Sampled loads, bought quite a lot of different produce from The cheese Wedge, The Great British Cheese Company & Crazy Canary sauces. We also bought cheesy lunches with a side order of cider, plus marshmallows and rocky road to take home.
There were plenty of stalls to choose from, although not all had tasters, and a variety of foods. Plus entertainment from a Devon man who was excellent and a cooking demo. All in all a great time and some Christmas gifts sorted.

Visited Bowlers for Cheesefest. Had an amazing time sampling all different cheeses and chutneys. Particularly enjoyed sampling the wine, toffee vodka and cherry bakewell cider too. Definitely would go again.
