Not a Scam!

I ordered from Chef Zest about 2 weeks ago, and having heard nothing I looked on here and feared the worst. An email to the company and a couple of days later, Ed responded to me telling me the items should be with me and apologising for the delay. They have all arrived and I'm really happy. Yes, it was a delayed delivery but not a scam.

Stay clear

Continually trying to get in contact for months by phone with 0 response and 1 response via email about broken dishes 38 to be exact badly packaged with very little response and no resolve stay clear

Don't waste your time and money

This is the first time I've gone out of my way to write a review. Hopefully it will help people not to be sucked in by the flashy website and attractive prices. I ordered items in May '21. They failed to arrive. It was difficult to establish communication on when they would be available. Eventually I managed to speak to Ed, who said they refund my money. It's now November '21 and all contact has dried up. Don't waste your time and money. It is a sham.

Avoid - 0 Stars wasn't an option.

Ordered tapas dishes for a wedding we were catering, order arrived and half of of the order was broken in transit. Contacted chef's zest and had a reply from Ed stating that they would send out replacements. Replacements have never arrived and no contact has been received since despite numerous attempts. Emailed to advise that nothing had been recieved and was again told by Ed that it would be looked into, no contact since then, it has been almost 2 months since the original order and no response to emails, phone just rings out when trying to call and no response to voicemails either. Will be taking this to trading standards to hopefully recover the loss

Money taken in May 2021 for goods never…

Money taken in May 2021 for goods never received and apparently out of Stock.
Ed contacted me by email to ask if I wanted a refund and I said yes. To date, October 2021, I have not received this refund despite several emails to them requesting it.

Deceitful Company

Ordered 12 bread baskets 13th July. Chased delivery 21st July and was told by Ed it would be with me by 23rd. Chased again 28th as had still not received. Ed replied same day saying the courier had lost the parcel and that they would dispatch another one.

A few days later I was told they would be with me 10th Aug as they were waiting for stock to come in. Emailed and called chasing on the 14th and 19th Aug as still not arrived and no replies.

Avoid.

I should have read the reviews beforehand!

I purchased a bistro table in May. I didn't hear anything for a few days and managed to call them up and spoke to Ed who advised that it was out of stock. I asked for a refund and also agreed this with Ed over email. I am now three months on from this and despite many promises and excuses from Ed, no refund has been sent to me. Please do not take the risk!

I ordered a large amount of goods for…

I ordered a large amount of goods for my business on the 3rd July 2021. On the website, it stated the items I ordered were in stock. Later a guy called ED contacted me that the items I ordered are not actually not in stock. A refund was agreed. But nearly two months later, I received no refund at all. All emails were ignored. Calls went straight to answer phone. A total scam! Keep away from this company. My bank and trading standard have been contacted.

No refund

I ordered a product and 2 weeks later they had failed to dispatch it. I then asked for a refund and they said that was fine. 2 months later I still havent recieved my refund and they won't reply to my phone calls or emails. Terrible customer service!

Waste of time

That was almost one month ago, all further emails have been ignored and I still have the incorrect item here which I did not order or want.

There is no answer on the telephone number either.

Don’t waste your time and money.

Doubting Thomas

I ordered two bistro chairs.
Initially I didn’t think I had received any form of confirmation of my order and got a little twitchy.
I then read reviews on here and got very twitchy.
I rang the company and it went to answerphone.
Five minutes later a chap called Ed phoned me back, confirming my order and contact addresses, he said three emails had been sent regarding my order. l checked and there they were in my junk mail!
My chairs arrived on exactly the day Ed had said they were brilliantly packaged and are beautiful.
Thank you Ed, great service.

Horrible company

I purchased a double boiler which I never received, it was meant to arrive in 5 working days but nothing arrived and after contacting the company they said that it should arrive in a month time, even after a month time nothing arrived and they said that it needs another month AMAZING!, No apologies nor notice of delay only after I asked about the status of my order.
After all this stress they offered me a refund and even the refund took too long.
HORRIBLE SERVICE, unprofessional.
(I have suspicions that this company is working with their client’s money then offering them a refund, basically taking a loan from their clients)

Very long delivery time, 3 months, for overseas items

Ordered a table top on the 6th February 2021, that promised 4-7 working days delivery. After 9 days nothing arrived so I called up to be told I was informed wrong, and it was actually a 2 week delivery. I waited again and nothing. Contacted Ed from the company again who said it would actually be here on the 31st March due to Covid delays. So I waited, again. Nothing came, he said they missed the shipment and it would come the week after. Guess what... it didn’t. Thankfully, 14 days later I received a full refund which is great. The table did eventually arrive after the refund but I’d already bought another so they collected it.

Thoroughly recommend this company

I recently brought some side plates from this company. From order to delivery it was less than 48 hours. The plates were very well packaged so no fear of damage in transit. Would most certainly use Chefs Zest again
