Absolute shambles! Took funds at the start of May, fobbed me off re delivery for weeks, I finally cancelled and they confirmed they would refund within 3 to 5 days....that was 2 weeks ago. As yet no refund! I have informed trading standards and reported them for fraud to my bank so they can pick up on my behalf. Absolute disgrace to treat people like this, especially given the last 18 months people have had. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

I have left numerous voicemails and have sent countless emails over the past months, but have not yet had a reply.
Could you please provide us with an update on the Anastasia Chicken House that my husband Ben has ordered and paid for in full last year on 27 July 2020?
Afraid I have no other way of trying to get through to you.

This company came to our rescue! After a spate of fox attacks, I needed a super secure new hen house and run for our hens very quickly; Cherry Acres supplied us with the beautiful large Orchard House and Orchard run within a few days; ordinarily we would have had to wait 3 - 4 weeks for the products made to order; in this instance they had a hen house already built in stock, so we felt incredibly lucky, however they rallied to build the orchard run within 3 days, and for that we are so grateful. Cherry Acres are friendly and very knowledgeable people, the service and comms were second to none. The quality of the workmanship and the robustness of the hen house has given me the assurance that our girls will be safe now. Its also gorgeous - actually a really attractive addition to the garden.
I would highly recommend this company -normally there will be a lead time, as their products are built from scratch to order, but the quality is really worth the wait. Please do not waste your money (as I did) on stuff bought quickly and cheaply online, it will not last a winter, and it will not keep out the predators - and as we all know - that can be heartbreaking.

We had a doggy bunk bed made by Dan and his team and it’s is perfect! Right down to the service. I could not have asked for better communication, product or customer service. Thank you so much to you all. Highly recommend you all, what fantastic bespoke products. They take so much pride in their work and it really shows in the finished product. Thank you again.

As with so many of these reviews from disgruntled customers, this has been a truly horrible experience. I relate to many of the bad reviews. I’m given the same excuses. They’re impossible to get hold of on the phone, possibly 1 out of 10 times of trying. After six months of being messed around, I called and someone actually picked up and gave me confirmation of the delivery date, saying it will arrive at 2pm on that day. It never came, with no explanation for 5 days. They even said they were on their way but they had to turn around because of a family member being sick.
I cancelled my order and am trying to get my refund back. I caught Sara out in a lie, one of many, and she hung up on me. Yes, they are a family business, but they are dishonest and untrustworthy and give family business a bad name. I intend to pursue them and get my refund back for as long as necessary. They should not get away with this.

When I ordered this hutch I called the company who were very helpful & said the hutch would take 2 weeks to deliver. After the 2 week period I contacted via email & was told it would be dispatched by the end of the week. I then saw all the negative reviews & started to panic that it would not turn up. However the company were helpful every time I called & it did arrive after 4 weeks. The hutch was definitely worth the wait! It is really spacious, solid, well built & decorative. I am so pleased with the workmanship. The only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars was the delay, as my expectations weren’t met as expected. People would always rather their expectations exceeded rather than not met, so if I had been told 4 weeks at the start, it would have saved some worrying on my part.

I really wanted to write a nice review about Cherry Acres Animal Housing, as I like to support small family run businesses & the products advertised on the website look amazing. Unfortunately, however, I feel really let down, upset & disappointed by them.

I ordered a Warren Lodge Rabbit Shed after I found out I was pregnant back in October 2020 for just under £2,000. As I hadn’t received an update on my order several weeks later, I followed up twice by e-mail. I was told (by Dan) that I was booked in for delivery & installation of the lodge in January 2021 & would be contacted a few days later with an exact date. This was not provided by Cherry Acres, so I followed up again, & we were finally given a delivery date of 31 March 2021.

On the afternoon of 31 March 2021, my husband rang Cherry Acres & asked when they were arriving. They said they were delayed with another order & would contact us to schedule another delivery & installation date. After we didn’t hear anything, my husband phoned them twice - both times he was told they would call back in 24 hours, & both times they never returned the call. Both myself & my husband followed up multiple times via e-mail asking for a new delivery date & subsequently giving Cherry Acres a deadline as to when I would contact my bank for a refund, but we never received a response.

I have since given birth to my beautiful baby daughter, & now have to juggle looking after a newborn, with trying to get my money back (a substantial amount) from my bank. I would urge anybody looking at ordering from Cherry Acres to seriously reconsider, as you run the risk of never receiving your order & going through the stress & hassle of trying to get your money back.

I wouldj ust like to express my experience of this company and how good the the product that we were supplied with was. The finished product was of a very high standard and the manner in which it was built was extremely professional and built in a very timely fashion both Dan and his daughter Chloe were very diligent and pro-active in their approach to the task before them. I am extremely happy with the finished product and would recommend their service to anyone wishing to purchase such products . A first rate company run by first rate people . .

I contacted Daniel as I am a child minder and wanted a bespoke sand pit and water play table and several raised planters made so the children could have their own planting areas. Daniel came and measured up for what we wanted. Well what can I say I am very pleased with the results the sand and water tray are lovely. The natural wood is warm to the touch and looks so much better than the option of bright coloured plastics. The items are so well made and just what I asked for.
We have just got an allotment so asked Daniel if he could design and build us a shed and raised planters.
Well today was installation day and the shed is fantastic. Looks really good, solid construction and just what we asked for. The 6 large planters are also fab.
Daniel and his work has exceeded our expectations. He is local and has a family run business. He is skilful and knowledgeable.
We are so pleased we have asked Daniel to build us a corner summer house for our garden and balance beams and equipment for the children.
Highly recommended 5 Star service.

Given this current climate and huge shortages of supplies for small, family run British businesses due to Covid and Brexit, Daniel and Natasha have been wonderful. They have kept me informed of supply issues and between us we got stage one of a two-stage ‘chicken palace’ finished last Saturday.
Their business is completely family run and the hours they are working to resolve a supply and demand situation go beyond that of a standard 8-hour day.
I run two small businesses and understand customer expectation but given the fact that getting hold of wood at the moment is a full time job in itself I think Cherry Acres are doing a fabulous job. They won’t compromise in workmanship and that may mean some delay.
I am absolutely thrilled with my 24ft fox-proof chicken enclosure (thank you Daniel for all of the advice) and am looking forward in updating this review with even more positivity once my Anastasia chicken coop arrives.

Having read through a lot of these reviews I thought it fair to add my honest account of my recent experience with Cherry Acres. Although I haven’t given 5 stars I can say that the good points far outweigh the bad.

I had previously ordered through a well known manufacturer of plastic poultry coops but having had my order pushed back a few times due to shipping issues I decided to cancel that order and look for an alternative that would be made in the uk. I found the cherry acres website online and having had a chat with someone from the company I placed an order for a chicken coop and a bespoke run with a lead time of 4 weeks. Around 10 days later I received a phone call to say that there would be a week delay with my order, which was fine as it still gave me a week to between delivery and collecting my hens. I had to make a change to my order a few weeks in as realised that I’d ordered a coop that was far too big and they changed it to a different design with no issues.

I had read the trustpilot reviews before I placed my order but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, so when I received a phone call the day before the planned delivery and installation date to say that it would be delayed by 5 days due to unforeseen circumstances, I panicked! I’d paid for everything in full at the point of order and thought I’d lost all my money. I almost definitely wasn’t the most polite that I could have been during that conversation but the lady that spoke to me remained calm and was respectful of the fact that I was very disappointed. I spent the 5 days that followed stressed out that I would never receive my run and coop and would miss the opportunity to get my rescue hens.

BUT .... Daniel called me the day before my rescheduled delivery to finalise the dimensions for the run, he then called me on the morning of my delivery to let me know that they were leaving. When they got stuck in traffic in sweltering heat on the M25 I got another phone call from their office to let me know that they would be there as soon as possible, and when they arrived the three of them worked solidly in the sun to build the coop and run in time for me to meet the admin needs of the rescue organisation that I was due to collect my hens from 2 days later. I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome. It looks beautiful, it’s sturdy and it’s practical!

My conclusion is that Cherry Acres are a small family run business who are very good at what they do but are really up against it at the moment - Covid restrictions, import and export changes after brexit, constantly fluctuating prices of materials, and they’re stuck between struggling to keep up with demand but not being in a position to turn down business, just like a lot of small businesses, my own included. I would definitely recommend them but with the caveat that you have to be realistic about time frames. You will likely be waiting a bit longer than the lead times stated on their website but it’s worth it. Their customer service is actually pretty good - a little slow responding to emails but I always managed to get hold of them on the phone and everyone that I spoke was helpful.

My partner ordered a cat pen in December and paid in full as we now approach June it’s still not here. The excuses when you manage to get some form of response from them started with COVID then waiting on mesh from China then damaged on way here so apparently the driver took it back.
Now they say they can’t refund her money as it’s at some imaginary hub for delivery seems to have been there for two weeks.
Trading standards now contacted.
Absolutely shocking way to treat customers who have paid in full. Will be leaving similar reviews every where possible.all she wants is her money back.today marks another day of goods paid for months ago not being delivered on date given.

Cherry acres flagged this post to Trustpilot saying we had not had a transaction with them have now provided this website with all relevant proof of transaction they still refuse to refund my partners money SIX MONTHS after she paid them.

I’ve read through some of these reviews and shocked if I’m honest. Dan and Natasha have provided me with a fantastic service and amazing craftsmanship. We had our bunny shed built a year ago and it’s amazing, this week I ordered an extension for it and Dan has been responsive and helpful. It arrives this weekend. I have had no issues at all.

My initial phone conversation with this company was amazing, sales rep spent 20 minutes on the phone with me advising on type of kennel for my dog. Installation date was a month away but given they were so helpful I hung up the phone after making an order feeling like I’d made the right choice.

A few days ahead of the installation date, I received a phone call from them informing me that the order had been delayed due to a supply issue from Belgium caused by covid. I was disappointed, but understood that these things happen due to covid.

I was told I’d receive a phone call on Monday informing me of the revised installation date. Then the dubious service began. No phone call received. I had to chase by phone and leave a message. No one responded. I sent an email and finally a response with a revised date three weeks down the line!! I was extremely disappointed but there was little I could do as I had already paid the deposit.

A week before the rescheduled installation date, I phoned them to ensure things were still on track, and was assured they were and that I would receive a phone call the day before.

The day before came and went and no phone call received. I phoned on the day of the installation and for several times throughout the day my calls were not picked up. Finally I receive a call back giving me a time of 2pm.

2pm came and went and it was 3:00 I phone to follow up - all this time being very polite and reinforcing my concern - and was told I’d receive a follow up call but nothing.

They just didn’t show. And they are now not answering my calls or emails so have clearly just run off with the deposit. How they are still in business eludes me completely. Absolute robbery I’m shocked and will be pursuing a reimbursement for my deposit and compensation for the wasted time and immense stress caused.

The service was brilliant from start to finish, the website was easy to find, when we made the call the person who answered was so informative of all my questions and answered everyone with so much detail. She offered advice on what would be suitable for goats and if I was to call up we could get a 5% discount.

I then phoned up to ask when it was being delivered she told me the date and was flexible by saying that if there were any cancellations then they would let us know and they’d be out as soon as possible.

On the day it arrived I was kept updated throughout the day and even was told that it was going to be an hour late. When it arrived the people that came and built it were friendly, customer first service, they showed enthusiasm when building it and answered any questions we had on tools, how it was made. At the end one said that they’d put it on there Facebook page and tag the college in it to get our name out there.

All in all it was a 5 star service and will definitely recommend to any friends that want any field shelters.

So I ordered my chicken coop over the phone and was given a delivery date.
The lady I spoke to was very helpful, friendly and efficient.
I contacted Cherry Acres a couple of days prior to delivery and we arranged an exact time for delivery.
My coop was delivered on the exact delivery date and the exact time agreed. Very impressed!
The coop, itself is even better than I expected! I have bought many chicken houses in the past, and I have to say this is the best!
The craftsmanship that has gone into making it and the details are fantastic. It is extremely solid, well made and also looks really nice.
