I went there because somebody scratched my vehicle. They said they would have to repaint it instead of buffing it out. They gave me a price on doing the door then about 2 hours later called me and said the back door had to be done. Price went up another $500. Told them to go ahead and do it. About 3 weeks later after calling no more it's times supposedly it was finished so I went to pick it up the paint was a joke It looks like there's brush lines from a paint brush on one of my doors, the inside of the vehicle was completely trashed with dust powder and paint from doing the job. I asked why they didn't clean it, supposedly the detailer wasn't there. I showed them the defects in the vehicle that weren't even there when I took it there and they promised to buff it out and fix it but I would have to wait 2 weeks more for the paint to completely set up and dry. We waited the two weeks called numerous times left several messages even sent an email and they don't even respond. You charged us a fortune to paint two doors on a vehicle almost brand new and you trashed it inside and out. If you can't do a good paint job on a new Chevrolet then you shouldn't be touching them. The manager of the paint shop is one of the most shady people I've ever met in my life.

Something was wrong with my suv and took it to two different dealerships who couldn’t figure it out and then called GM motors who weren’t helpful and told me in other words”sorry we can’t help”. They are useless and should be sued . I almost died in the car after leaving the dealership cause they just turned off the lights and told me to take it home . When they diagnosed my suv 50 different modules came up and they had no idea what to do .

They don’t care about their cars nor people who buy them. Chev should not be allowed to make cars.

Potential Steering Safety Issue with 2018 Chevrolet Equinox

Last week, I temporarily lost control of steering in my 2018 Equinox while driving. I immediately brought the car to the dealership and they failed to adequately explain the potentially life-threatening problem I experienced. The response I was given was that the 12-volt battery failed which lead to a problem with the power steering system. The dealership replaced the battery, which was only five years old with very light usage, for $300 with an assurance that the problem was unambiguously fixed. The dealership's explanation of the connection between the 12-volt battery and my ability to maintain control of steering made no sense to me, so I contacted Chevrolet's corporate number on September 26, 2023 and spoke with Heather, who identified herself as "Manager of Customer Service" after waiting on hold for nearly an hour for Heather to perform "Research" regarding the issue. When Heather finally joined the call, she clearly had performed no research whatsoever as indicated by her lack of awareness of the nature of my call. She provided no answers other than to redirect me to the dealership before threatening to "disconnect" the call I suppose in order to obfuscate her clear incompetence and inability to articulate anything other than re-contacting the dealership. This constitutes absolute negligence for a potentially life-threatening problem and I believe violates both the Illinois state and federal Consumer Bill of Rights. ANYONE WITH A 2018 CHEVROLET EQUINOX PLEASE BE AWARE THAT A POTENTIALLY LIFE-THREATENING PROBLEM EXISTS WITH THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM THAT CHEVROLET CANNOT OR WILL NOT CLEARLY EXPLAIN USING WORDS THAT A LAYPERSON WOULD UNDERSTAND. I am now scared to drive my own vehicle for fear that I will lose control once again while driving and become injured or killed if the problem persists. I am currently in the process of contacting my local ABC, NBC and CBS news affiliates in hopes that they will air the transcript of Heather's vile, incomprehensible and totally unacceptable failure to address a simple question: "Why would a failing 12-volt battery lead to a loss of steering control?" Furthermore, if Chevrolet cannot clearly articulate a response involving a vehicle that they manufactured, who can? This horrendous experience was absolutely the most shameful, pathetic and downright frightening "customer service" response I have ever received in my entire life. I now know that if I call Chevrolet customer service and say I am afraid to drive a car for which I paid over $40,000, I can expect to receive a response tantamount to "Call the Dealership Again." Placing this onus on the consumer is outrageous and contemptible. I have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on Chevrolet vehicles over the past six decades. Due to my now intense fear of driving my own car in tandem with Heather's repulsive lack of concern, responsiveness, knowledge or even the slightest bit of empathic professionalism, I will never give Chevrolet another cent of my money.

Bought lots of chevys including a 2018!Silverado, 2017 Camaro and a 2023 trail boss Colorado. Then Chevy decided to rip me off on my rewards points. For principal and the $100 in points they refused me I will now buy Toyota. The rewards program is a scam imo.

Buying a chevy equinox has pretty much…

Buying a chevy equinox has pretty much ruined my life. I'd give neg 5 stars if I could. Let me start from the beginning. I had no credit so I was happy when I found out I could finance a 2016 equinox lt with 48k miles on it. This was in 2021.
I kept up with oil changes. It would stall. I had to replace to sensors. The motor struggled. No matter what it never had much power. They consume oil very badly. I'd constantly check it and one day it was at the right level then two days later it would need a quart. They should have recalled that 2.4 motor but they will not. Because of the oil consumption issues and it would stall. Extremely unsafe. Long story short. My timing chain broke. I still owe 16k on a broke down car. I'm a single mom on foot, trying to pay for a broken car and ins on a broken car. Car insurance and note take $815
A month, plus I have to pay for rides for my kids and myself. Chevy should recall their faulty¹aj motor. It's horrible to do people like this. I work just to pay for nothing. Life is so expensive.+1 don't see a way possible for me to fix my finances or credit.

Chevrolet Showroom: A Disastrous Experience

My visit to the Chevrolet showroom was a complete disaster. The staff was uninterested, the vehicles were poorly maintained, and the sales representatives were uninformed. The finance department was inefficient and unresponsive. Overall, a deeply disappointing experience. Think twice before visiting this showroom.

One aspect that disappointed me was the engine performance. I found it to be lacking in power and responsiveness
Additionally, I encountered issues with the water system in my Chevrolet. I experienced leaks and had to deal with coolant problems, which led to inconvenient and costly repairs. This reliability concern was a major drawback for me.
On a positive note the interior design is generally satisfactory

new key needed for car, cheap FOB!

Bought a used Chevy, Need new key. Called DON MEALEY CHEVROLET in CLERMONT, FL. Talked to service department, he transfered my to parts. New key quoted at $128. Drove all the way across town in heavy traffic (45 minutes each way) only to be told the new key was going to cost $250 NOT the $128 I was quoted on the phone. What do you call somebody that gives you a quote, then DOUBLES the price when you come in? Yeah, THAT WORD.

Called other Chevy dealerships in Orlando area to get RELIABLE quote. All said "leave a message we'll get back". THREE DIFFERENT DEALERS never returned my phone calls.

LAST CHEVY I'LL EVER BUY!

My experience with Chevrolet

My experience with Chevrolet with a local company and how crappy they make their vehicles.
I bought a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 from Friendly Chevrolet in Albemarle in June of 2022. I picked up the vehicle and in less than 15 miles from Friendly Chevrolet the engine light comes on. I called, was told to bring it back in and they would check it out. So I took it back and given a loaner to drive and was told it would be a day or two to get the truck back. A few days later I pick up the truck and the next morning engine light comes back on. Same codes. Needless to say it had to go back again. This time they did come pick up the truck and left me with another vehicle to drive. I get the truck back and the light comes back on with in minutes of driving it. They say third times a charm but I wasn’t getting anywhere with Friendly Chevrolet and the fact that this was a lemon car, three times it had to go back for the same problem. I guess the lemon law isn’t in effect with this company. So after the third time, this being the fourth, I called to see if they were going to do anything about it and they said no, there’s no warranty. But they had to fix the same problem three times and now, it has been sitting since December with a bad transmission. This truck had 114,000 miles on it when I got it and now it sits with 118,000 miles on it, $375 a month plus insurance, So I make my payments for a truck that I cannot even use. Friendly Chevrolet customer service is absolute garbage. I would not recommend you use this company for any kind of service or buying of vehicles. It’s lick it and stick it with a Band-Aid to fix it and push them out the door, it’s not our problem anymore.

Where do I begin

Where do I begin? I have a 2014 Chevy Cruze LT, so enough said. The biggest and constant is the cooling issue. I have replaced the thermostat, water pump, coolant reservoir, and there's still cooling issues. The car is only at 60,000 miles and all the Chevy dealers tell me they're unable to help, no recalls for my specific car, yet I KNOW there has to be something. I literally am owning a paperweight that I throw around 300 bucks each time at to address the issues. My power windows also crapped out, my electronics and fan and radiator I'm sure are on their way out, but like I said, 'nothing the dealers can do' without charging an arm and leg. Next time, I'm definitely getting a Honda or a lobotomy, whichever is the better option. I can't even select the date when my problems began, but financially I guess I can't trade it in. I don't blame any dealer for not taking it, who wants a headache by choice?

Low mileage transmission failure

My 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500, with 53000 miles on it, transmission failed recently. Worn pressure regulator and bad/deteriorated shift bearings. $5500 rebuild. A failure you might expect with a transmission that has 153000 miles on it, but not 53000. The ultimate kicker is that it was 1 week out of the 5yr/60k drive-line factory warranty so GMC/Chevy wouldn't honor the warranty....Now I personally know first hand what a lot have said on this form. Chevy has poor products & even poorer ethics and morals. They could care less about their loyal customers. After 30+ years as a "Chevy" customer I will never buy one again!

I will never purchase another Chevy…

I will never purchase another Chevy vehicle ever again. Purchased an equinox a few years back probably a month later started having engine issues within a few months had to replace the engine all together then a few months later the brand new engine started to deteriorate and break down as well. Turns out Chevy is quite aware of the terrible issue they have with equinox and their engines however they refuse to do anything about it. Then shortly after my sister bought a Chevy truck almost brand new and shortly after that she had to replace the entire transmission for the vehicle. The Chevy brand used to be a reliable brand and a trustworthy vehicle for your family. Now there are no family values they don't care and you're on your own to deal with issues the issues.
