I've bought seeds from Chiltern Seeds for a few years now and they always have excellent germination rates, and they're always what they're supposed to be! Customer service can't be faulted either.

I have bought many Chiltern seeds and have had a problem with germination from only one species. I wrote about it as a review which was picked up immediately. They expressed genuine concern and requested information on how I had sown the seeds and in what conditions. After I sent this I got a long very friendly email from the after sales team explaining what could have gone wrong. They sent a replacement packet out first class with lots of growing tips and again were extremely friendly. The monthly newsletters are very interesting and I would recommend this company.

Through lack of computer skills I failed to complete payment for my on line order. A telephone call to Chiltern Seeds sorted everything out in a very short time.
A very kind lady took my order number and card details and I was told that I would receive email confirmation.

Confirmation was received and as one item of my order could not be filled I was offered a refund or a substitute of my choice. I chose substitute.
Another email confirmed everything that I needed to know.
This is not only first class service but a first class personalised service.

I have bought seed from Chiltern Seeds since the 1970's and have always received excellent service. The seeds have always grown. As well as the 'ordinary varieties' one can often find others that are rare and not available anywhere else. The first thing I grew from Chiltern Seeds, as a small boy, was Cyphomandra betacea which grew 12 ft in its first year. Never forgotten!

They have an amazing selection of seeds, and an impressive catalogue / website (with decent descriptions and growing advice plus the occasional funny comment).
The staff have been very helpful when I've had questions, e.g. about Lapageria seeds.

I have been a loyal customer for several years with this company. They have a wonderful selection of seeds, some very unusual, a beautiful catalogue and they are running a sustainable eco friendly small family run organisation. All seeds I have ordered, I have had very good germination. I usually order a range of veggies, annuals and perennials. I am a big fan of their bargain basement range as well. These are a brilliant good value option. 10 packets of seeds from previous year for about £4.95, always fun to open them up and see what I received. The seeds arrive in beautifully packaged eco-friendly packaging and well written seed packets. I am still using seeds that are more than 2 years old with success. I really recommend that you give this company a try. You won't be disappointed! A little PS, please do not be confused by other companies with a similar name. I am recommending Chiltern Seeds (grow something new from seed).

This was the firtst time I ordered from Chiltern seeds and the seeds were sent out very quickly. Unfortunately there was a delivery problem and the tracked delivery did not turn up. Chiltern seeds immediatly replaced the missing seeds (free of charge) without a quibble and the new seeds turned up quickly by first class post. A week or two later the original seeds arrived in a very well-travelled package! Chiltern Seeds would not take payment for my extra seeds. A lovely company to work with, I will order again.

I made a mess of my order and the team at Chiltern Seeds were so accommodating whilst I sorted it out. And as soon as I confirmed all the amendments, they replied instantly and shipped it all the same day. Brilliant customer service. I have bought seeds from Chiltern since 2017 and always find them excellent.

First time ordered from Chiltern Seeds and very pleased with the product I have received promptly. Seeds are high quality, nicely packaged and well described. I ordered several items, but started the ones which are suitable for germinating now (autumn) and they are doing extremely well. Very high germination rate, some 100%, and the seedlings look healthy. Also impressed that there are many unusual, wild and native plants available.
Will definitely order again and recommend.

Ordered 2 packets of Mountain Magic Tomato seed on 12th September . Still not arrived . . Sent message through website , had no answer . When will my seeds arrive

Ordered many packets of seeds and they arrived on time as promised during summer. They camed undamaged and with instructions how to plant them. All seeds germinated per instruction and some germinated really fast. Planted them during summer at 25c 50% humidity. Seeds were fresh and undamaged. If i had more place i would plant even more :)
