I've had a few orders with Chinachaps now. Mostly they are quick and reliable. The packaging for crockery items certainly is 5 star. The overall 4 stars is for one occasion when an order was out of stock and they had to be chased for updates when the replacement date passed without any communication from them

Great prices, fast delivery, no breakages!

I ordered items on the 28th July to be delivered direct to a family member for their birthday 2nd August. As the items were showing as being in stock and I was charged £4.95 postage, I assumed that delivery would be quick and efficient (especially considering it was in the same County, less than 10 miles from their premises) and was not warned otherwise. I advised the Company that the items were a birthday gift and being sent directly to the recipient, so it was obvious that delivery was time sensitive.
Today is 10th August and the delivery has still not been made. I have complained to China Chaps and received a refund, but I would have preferred that the present had got to my sister in law in time for her birthday instead. China Chaps answer to my complaint about delivery times was: "Once it had left our warehouse it is down to Royal Mail to deliver your product; we do not deliver the products ourselves". I find this extremely poor customer service. I do not understand how a company can run an online shopping service, charge postage and then state that delivery is nothing to do with them. This is obviously an ongoing issue as I have since found a number of Google reviews stating that their delivery service is poor and lengthy. If they cannot rely on Royal Mail to make efficient deliveries, perhaps they should use a courier service - for £4.95 postage I would expect a delivery time frame of less than 10 days plus.

Always excellent service and really competitive prices from Chinachaps. Our glasses were delivered promptly and were securely parcelled. Still loving our Villeroy and Boch dinner set which we ordered a while back! Once again, securely packaged and speedy delivery. Can't recommend Chinachaps too highly!! Five star service from a five star company!!! And they don't mind delivering to N Ireland- another star point!!
