We bought a Four Seasons arbor, some decking and some lengths of untreated 4X2 from them.

The arbor was advertised as ex display which we assumed meant it had been constructed at some point. it very obviously wasn't because it didn't actually fit together and needed a few adjustments to get it erected. One of the reasons for this was very poor manufacturing tolerances and very poor build quality with ring shanks that had missed what they should have been hammered through and had to be cut off because they were impossible to get out. Also screws that had been sunk into the wood far too far compromising the preservative and splitting the wood in a number of places. You'd be forgiven for thinking the arbor had been constructed as part of the old YTS scheme. The roof has a hole in it and almost 3 weeks on from enquiring I'm still waiting to hear what they recommend to mend it.

The instructions were appalling and difficult to read. 3 people (two of which are extremely practical) with 7 degrees between them really struggled to understand them.

The decking's fine but the majority of the 4X2 was rotten - so much so that you could push your finger through some of it. I complained and got a refund but it should never have been sold in that state in the first place.

Simple ordering process, our order arrived on time expertly packed. When we alerted the customer team that the assembly instructions and fittings were missing they were sent by post the same day. Would happily buy from Churnett Valley in the future.

I ordered a log store to replace my previous one. Excellent communication throughout and delivered in a timely manner. Unfortunately there was some damage to the rear panel which had clearly happened prior to packaging on the pallet. However, customer services were very quick to respond and arranged a replacement within 24 hours. Instructions to build were poor and inaccurate in terms of screw size which we only realised
when we lifted up the roof and the shelf fell off. These need to be updated. However, this was a quick fix and the log store is good quality and i am happy with my purchase.

Quick, efficient service - I bought a weatherproof box for outside the house. When it came with minor damage to the corner of the felt top, I was quickly dispatched a full roll of felt to solve the problem. Very good service, will happily buy from them again.

We have bought two items from Churnet Valley Garden Furniture recently and we are really pleased with them. A triple wheelie bin store and love seat set. Great quality and good prices. Communication was great as was delivery. Highly recommend.

Where to start item arrived all the nuts and bolts arrived in a Sainsbury carrier bag! This should have alerted me to what was to come. There were missing nuts and bolts. Some of the holes were only part drilled. And a lot of the holes didn’t match up with their relevant piece. Replacement nuts and bolts were sent along with a replacement rear bar this time undrilled so we could drill holes in it correctly we thought!! Turns out it was all the holes on the main frame that were drilled in the wrong places sadly that meant us drilling new holes again. When put together eventually!!! We put the roof on but even this didn’t sit quite right!!!! Quite a few bits of the wood had big splits when I raised all these points with the manufacturer I was laughingly told the splits would put themselves back together!!!!!! Nothing was said about anything else. Then when we sat in the seat we discovered it knocks against the back bar!!!! HIW IRRITATING. JUST ANOTHER REMINDER OF BAD DESIGN AND CRAFTSMANSHIP!! All I was offered was a bottle of the oil as a jesture of good will!! When I tried to per-sue my issues further they stopped communicating with me!!!!
I CAN HONESTLY SAY I DO JOT RECOMMEND THEM I WOULD OAY MORE FOR A BETTER QUALITY

Really good looking, sturdy Chatsworth summerhouse. Got a good deal with free installation thanks to the August sale. Constructed by the friendly and efficient team of James and Harvey, and now looks really great in our garden. The timber smells fabulous inside too. 100% recommended.

The whole process went smoothly from start to finish the same outside dining set from my local garden centre was £250 more expensive 25% cheaper buying direct from churnet valley garden furniture Ltd then factor in having it delivered to my door the quality of the furniture is really good I would 100% recommend these guys if anyone is after reasonable priced quality garden furniture…..
