The service provided seems to be on the decline. 50% of the dvds seem to skip. Either they never clean them, or they are well worn.

I have belonged since Lovefilm shut down. More often than not, TV series or films I want to watch are not available despite them being advertised in their listings. Their system for allocating your preferences fails, I've just been sent something that was at no. 15 on my list, complained about it and told 'that's just how the system works'. This is the final straw for me and I'm getting rid of it, the £15 a month is better spent elsewhere.

This service is brilliant. I studied film many years ago and my youngest son (now 23) caught the bug and studied film at Uni. I haven't seen such a comprehensive selection of classic and world films anywhere, so we can fill in the gaps in our film education and see old favourites without endlessly buying new discs (which is not easy these days) or finding room for them. Not only is it very good value and more comprehensive than streaming services but also you can watch the credits down to the last performing dog and the specials if available and with no buffering problems.

If your stuck in the past and like a huge selection of titles that play in the highest audio and video bitrates possible you literally cant beat this.

If you want a number to support why its worth using this service, check for the titles on offer at CP, then compare to a few streaming services......

We left Paradiso for many of the same reasons that have already been identified. They're too slow to send the next DVD out, very slow at sending out a title, possibly due to low stock levels. And for what they offer they're overpriced.

I have been a faithful customer of Cinema Paradiso for several years and have always been happy with the service.

Cinema Paradiso recently provided further after sales care when a disc arrived broken and unplayable. Their response was immediate, courteous and resolved the issue without quibble.

I was very impressed and wished to advise any future customers that they are an excellent choice for film titles, new or classic or box sets. There is so much choice now; with downloadable content, however Cinema Paradiso is reliable, with high levels of quality control and can be contacted with any issue you may experience, they will respond promptly and positively.

I would also like to say that they are a ‘one stop shop’ as you can request almost any title and they will be able to supply. Not all content is available on Netflix; Brit Box; Now Tv and so on, one service may have some films and other films may be with someone else, You end up with several download services to pay for.

Many titles will not be available, where you can request so much more with Cinema Paradiso alone. With a singular charge monthly as you use you can also request additional credit, if you wish to have more titles sent out at one time. It is a flexible service where you can dip in and out, dependant on how much you wish to watch.

Great ‘old skool’ company, with no broadband package required as it blu-ray or DVD discs being supplied.

No additional charges and no change to package price unless it advises an increase, which is always made clear, what you will pay for. Yearly one-off payments also available for 12 months for 10.

I’ve been a member for many years and have an unlimited package.

By and large the service is excellent and I have no complaints. Yes, there can be occasional delays, both on the C.P end as well as with Royal Mail. Discs are occasionally damaged or dirty and I agree more could be done by C.P to prevent this. Recently there has been a significant reduction in new title availability but I assume this is related to C19 supply chain issues.

Overall though C.P provides a good service for those looking for an alternative to streaming services.

I love being a customer of this company, why are People complaininimg about delivery time I never had a problem whatsoever , always received within a couple of days.
There service is 5 star and they have sorted any problem I have straight straight away away!
I love the blue rays they send through much better than a streaming service on picture and sound👍👍👍
Don't forget the massive choice of films they supply.

Often a week turnaround time, is it Royal Mail? Who knows. All I know is that after eighteen years of online renting, sadly it is looking unviable.
Royal Mail have become a joke since they were privatised and it's there customers that are paying the price.

I've been using this service since LoveFilm closed and am a big fan, but over the last few months turnaround times have become increasing slow, discs posted back not being received for 4-5 days and then discs taking several days to be delivered from the date of dispatch. When queried all you get is a standard reply blaming the Royal Mail even though i have experienced no delays with any other mail. It would be a huge wrench but seriously considering cancelling my membership if the service does not improve.

Mixed experience.
The main problem is that most of the time it takes 1 working day for them to receive my discs. Unfortunately it often takes a lot longer for me to receive them when they post them out to me. I recently upgraded to 3 discs at home, from 2. At the same time it started taking longer for me to receive discs, meaning that I saw no benefit from the upgrading!
For example they received 2 discs of mine on Monday, and the other disc on Tuesday. It is now past the Wednesday delivery time, so at the earliest I will receive them will be on Thursday. I have found the support channel to be mixed as well, first time I used LiveChat no one responded. Today I kept having to ask the same question 4 times for them to finally agree to look into the question I was asking.

It takes Royal Mail one day to return my DVDs to Cinema Paradiso while I have to wait four days, after Cinema Paradiso say they have posted them, to receive them? What is going on?

I really cant fault them! After both Blockbuster and Lovefilm online disappeared i turned to these guys. All the latest releases sent in the post on bluray included in your monthly fee plus a huuuge back catalog so you can hunt out those old gems plus lots of great world cinema! So much better value than any streaming service can offer with their limited selections or pay per view new releases.

Cinema Paradiso is brilliant, love everything about them. Fabulous service x

I have just found some rare gems on Cinema Paradiso' list - some titles I have been unable to find previously. Yet another reason to love this company! Keep up the fantastic work guys xx

I've had a mixed service so far. Been with these guys for about 2 years as it's the only service available for physical media and I don't stream as bit of an audiophile with Atmos at home.

The latest releases tend to be rarely available and I don't receive until well after Blu-ray release dates. Usually get sent titles further down my list that I'm not too keen on watching. Turnaround times could be better as the postal service is 1st class both ways. I've only had discs go missing once so that has been pretty good. Also, the breadth of films available is good and the latest films are released in-line with Blu-ray release dates so much better than streaming services where they are not available or you have to pay extra.

The worst part of the service are the discs. I would say about 30% of them are damaged / skip during playback. I always clean using a microfiber cloth and handle them without touching the rear but it looks like other users don't do the same and some have fingerprints everywhere as well as scratches. This makes the watching experience poor. However, they do immediately send another disc when I notify them. It would be good if Cinema Paradiso can regularly maintain / check the discs as this really does take-away from the service especially if you have guests around for a movie night and the disc turns out defective. Unsure if I am getting my money's worth but there's no other service out there so a bit stuck really :-(

I think I am going to ask them to increase my discs to 3 at home at a time for the price of 2 or I leave the service due to the defective discs issue.

Cinema Paradiso is a brilliant service. They have a much better range of films than any streaming service I have ever found (particularly world cinema, which I really appreciate). The service runs very efficiently and is always reliable. I think they are also very good value for money.
If you like a better range of films they are unbeatable.

Overall I've found Cinema Paradiso to be an excellent service. They stock a comprehensive range of films and TV series - I've been able to get everything I want. I tried other services but found that in addition to the monthly payments they charged extra for the type of movies or series that I wanted, which left me feeling ripped off. Cinema Paradiso don't do that - you pay your subscription and can select from their whole catalogue at no extra cost. If discs arrive damaged you can report it with a click of a button and they immediately issue a replacement. Discs arrive very promptly and I like the way you can build viewing lists and change the priority order. Another great feature is the 'extra rentals' and option which allows you to get additional discs in a month without altering your subscription. The subscription freeze option is nice too. All in all a really good service if you still like to get DVDs (my broadband is not reliable enough for a streaming service). Similar to Lovefilm but much better.

I've always appreciated the service Cinema Paradiso provide. They have a fantastic selection of films and series and they have a quick turnaround in sending out DVDs. As a service to their customers during the lockdown, they've been sending out larger numbers of DVDs than the package I've paid for. This is fantastic customer service and something I and my family have really appreciated. I can't recommend them highly enough!

I find so many films in their catalogue, even old classics and indie films. They send your DVDs out really quickly and they're giving specially good customer service during the COVID lockdown. They've got a lot more films than certain well known streaming services and you don't have to mess around trying to install apps on your TV with no help. You just get the DVD and stick it in the player. I'm so pleased I stayed with Cinema Paradiso.
