Got my third eco-drive as a gift…

Got my third eco-drive as a gift recently down in the Caribbean islands. When it was fitted the retailer didn't take out enough links. I went over to Citizen Canada. They refitted it ---for no charge. Great to be associated with a company where the service department means service. The smiling young lady who served me had an attitude of someone who likes the company she works for.

Make you pay for defective part and servicing time is extremely slow.

My original email was sent on March 23. I had gone to my jeweler to have the watch resized as I have a very small wrist. After this was completed, we realized that the clasp would not close after trying several times. The jeweler indicated that I should send it to Citizen as the calsp was defective. After contacting Citizen several times I was told that the clasp was not covered under the warranty, even though this was a brand new watch. In addition, I was told that I would hear about the repair by the end of the week. No such luck. I contacted them again today and was told that they would put a rush on it, but would not give me ny indication as when I would hear anything. I always thought highly of Citizen Watch company and this came as quite an unpleasant surprise.

1 star as you cannot give 0 star

1 star as you cannot give 0 star, I recently returned a 2 year old watch for repair only to be charged for a service to carry out the repair making the advertised 5 year warranty a joke, the response from customer service when I raised this was "We have estimated for a service as this will rectify the issue with the date display not changing" opinion is that the warranty is not worth the electronic paper it is written on

4 months since watch sent and no update ?? come on ..

4 months since watch sent in for a cracked glass repair on a current model watch with still no date or indication of when or if it will be repaired despite having to pay in shop before it would be sent back?
This is not good business practice, and we will not be buying a new Citizen time piece again despite been very loyal to the brand for 10 years. I would urge others to think about the repairs practice of companies in future as this is not an acceptable level of service.

Sent my watch to a citizen repair…

Sent my watch to a citizen repair center to be fixed only to find out my watch had not been fixed at all, they obviously ask for your telephone number so they can contact their customers to negotiate a price, also surely they should be contacting their customers to let them know that a watch can not be fixed, a low class watch with an even lower class watch repair service or in my experience no service at all will never buy from citizen ever again USELESS!!!
Will definitely stay with the luxury brand watches from now on as citizen are clearly not a good brand of watch to consider!!!
I have now found out why my citizen watch was not repaired.
Apparently citizen don't have the parts to repair my watch that needed repaired as it is obsolete but yet they don't have parts to fix a watch they actually made, this is clearly bad business practice, I have just purchased a luxury brand watch from another well known watchmaker who can still repair watches that are more than 50 years old, what I'm saying hear is you need to have spare parts in your inventory so when older watches need repairing you can actually repair those watches, To add insult to injury I'm offered a 25% discount off a new citizen watch!!! Why would I buy from a watch company who won't be able to fix the watch in the next 20-30 years.
It's a no brainier that I will never touch a citizen watch ever again, citizen have bad business practice as stated above, so now I know why my watch was not repaired I can now give an honest review about this experience I have had with citizen.

Citizen watches no longer worth it

I have several older Citizen watches, but it seems that the company has now gone for the cheap buck. Got a new watch for Christmas. No instructions, tells you to download and use the app. I guess they wanted to save the penny it cost to include instructions for a couple hundred dollar watch. App utilities don't work, stuck in endless loops for warranty activation, account verification, and even viewing instructions just loops back to app store to install pdf reader already installed. Website states things like complimentary bracelet sizing, however that one line is all you will ever find of that service. Very disappointed and I encourage all to post complete lack of customer support so that these companies learn they need to EARN our money.

Sent my Citizen Red Arrows Chronograph…

Sent my Citizen Red Arrows Chronograph mens watch to a professional repair company called IN TIME to have a scratched glass replaced only to be totally and utterly disappointed and let down by Citizen. After nearly 3 months the part has still not be supplied to IN TIME. This company have copied me in on an email received from Citizen customer service reasurruring IN TIMe the Glass would be with them three weeks ago(after two months on order). It still hasn't arrived and they haven't had the basic decency to reply to my request for information. In summary......pretty poor service from a so called quality watch maker. Think twice before you buy a Citizen watch. They're a disaster.

Terrible service!

Their website with regards to accessing parts is awful!! The payment does not work. Tried to contact them, get put through to the service centre that never answer the phone!! Please modernise your website, in particular, the payment server!! So difficult just to get a replacement watch strap!! Also, why can’t the sales team sort out payment and shipping for parts?? Seems this company is just interested in retail sales and not the individual! Get it sorted!

Excellent customer service can’t fault…

Excellent customer service can’t fault in any way. Accidentally damaged my watch bracelet at work within the first year. Sent back to citizen service centre who agreed to repair free of charge even though wasn’t covered by warranty. This is the sort of service every company should give. Well done citizen thank you.

Citizen CZ Smart - Poor Quality and Customer Support

I purchased the CZ Smart directly from Citizen in June/2022. After four months, the watch stopped responding and went completely dead. Before doing so, the touchscreen became unresponsive. Therefore, I couldn't reset it and it will not charge. I reached out to Citizen Support (No support). They wanted me to send the watch back at my expense. They would inspect it and let me know IF it is covered under warranty (so much for the five year warranty, huh?) This watch was not handled rough and had never even been in water. Advice from me is to stay away from this watch and its poor quality and the Citizen as a whole.

Warranty not worth the paper it is written on

Bought a Citizen Eco Drive analog watch in June 2021 very happy with it till the watch strap broke yesterday. Emailed Calcul Solatrx in Shannon Ireland “ If we find a defect from manufacturing on the strap we will replace the strap free of charge. But if we find the strap is worn or broken due to wear and tear it will not be covered by the warranty” it will cost me to post the watch not worth it. It should automatically be covered under warranty. Citizen Please respond

I've had my Eco-Drive nearly 10 years

I've had my Eco-Drive nearly 10 years. Wear it every day and it has been through the ordeals of working in a brewery and as lifeboat crew. It's kept it accuracy throughout. Absolutely amazing timepiece and well worth the money-especially as it never needs batteries!

Had an old Bulova that needed a second…

Had an old Bulova that needed a second hand replacement so contacted them and then went into prolonged detail on watch ref case number etc etc this taking a good few wks only to be told to contact someone else as they don’t keep stock anymore.
Took the watch to local jeweller was told to come back week later which I did and he fit the new hand plus a service !.
Moral to the story don’t touch the big boys they really don’t care and can’t be bothered, use local.

Watch Battery Dead in 6 Months, Warranty voided as replaced at Mr Mint

I bought a Citizen watch for 150$ of which battery went dead in less than 6 months. Since I was told that warranty does not cover the battery, I replaced it at Mr Mint shop and found the long arm loose. I had to send it to NSW (one shop each in each state) for repairs. I was quoted 149.50 and told that the warranty has been voided and asked what to do. I told them to discard the watch, but 15 minutes later asked it to be sent back to me. But the IT and Customer services manager TOMMY said it has been already discarded. All other actions took weeks by Citizen but that JONNY said he discarded in 15 mts. And after buying 5 Citizen watches NO MORE.

The Worst customer service ever

Sent my diving watch ( aqualand promaster ) for a service and change straps in February. They sent the quote and requested payment in two weeks saying it’ll take up to 25 working days .
After several weeks waiting The only answer is they are short of staff and parts. They took my money £180 immediately but after 79 days they just told me it’ll take at least 1 or 2 weeks more because the technician will be away for 1 week !!! What kind of company is this ??
The customer service person keep repeating they are doing the best they can as they have problems of personnel shortage and delays in parts….
Not an excuse!!
Terrible service, I’ll never buy a citizen watch ever again and don’t even bother to waste my time with such a bad customer service.
