If I could give zeros stars I would. Ive used nice & easy for years and the recent changes in formula and ultra gloss condition is terrible. The quality of the condition has gone down so much and i... See more

Not as good!
This product used to give good coverage on grey hair, however, since they changed it from a liquid to a cream, a couple of years back it is definitely not so good. It has to be left on much longer than they say to get any sort of coverage and even then the grey hair is still lighter in colour than the rest of it. When I can find something that does the job better make no mistake, I will stop using it!
Awful… used medium brown over my own…
Awful… used medium brown over my own dark hair with highlights, it turned out dark purple all over, atrocious… also lots of hair came out in first rinse. Please don’t use this awful cheap and nasty stuff.
My naturally blonde hair is now white…
My naturally blonde hair is now white which I hate as I’m very fair skinned. I have used Pale Blonde 9 PB but this is too dark and certainly does not give me pale blond hair. I tried Baby Blonde 10 but that stripped ALL my colour away. I’m now using the colourant from 9PB only to put some colour back! It does work but not sustainable financially as I have to throw the rest of the box away. WHY are there not colours that work for white hair!
Colour my hair at least once a month…
Colour my hair at least once a month using your product, just put 6R on as usual and its burnt all my scalp, the pain was unbearable, jumped in shower immediately to wash it off, you must have changed the ingredients!! I WILL NEVER USE NICE AND EASY AGAIN!!! (Wouldnt even give it 1 star) 🤬
I have been offered 2p in compensation…
I have been offered 2p in compensation for a spoiled product and for my time and effort in bothering to bring it to Clairol/Wella's attention. Having explained that 2p compensation is wholly unacceptable and an insult, they have increased it to 52p. I guess that shows how "valued" I am to them as a customer.
Turned out black, lost handfuls of hair!
Really don't use! I chose a dark brown shade and it has turned out a flat, dull BLACK with golden brown roots which were grey. Looks horrendous I've never used such a terrible hair dye. Usually a dark brown would give an even coverage of that colour..
Also it really stains your skin and scalp and the bathroom! Doesn't wipe off.
The worst thing is when I washed my hair handfuls of hair we're coming out no exaggeration. My hair is ruined and extremely dry and broken. AVOID!!!
not recommended
I have coloured my hair many times, (roots or full head). this was the first time I used this product. I was mot impressed. The result was lighter than suggested so had to redo with a better product. Also runnier so made more mess.
definitely won't use again.
RUBBISH
Why don't you listen to your loyal customers?
Having used nice n easy for the past 25 years, I can honestly say this is now the worst product ever.
Nothing like natural blonde, dull, lifeless and far to dark
Another loyal customer lost
DO NOT USE
Years ago I used to use Clairol nice and easy all the time with good results. Then I decided to go to the hairdresser instead because I have a lot of grey now. Problem was it got too expensive as I am a pensioner. I decided to go back to using clairol nice and easy. BIGGEST MISTAKE. After using It only once I noticed my hair was falling out, not just a few hairs but brush fulls. My hair is also dry and like cotton wool. I have now had to fork out for special treatments to see if my hair will improve, if not I may have to get a wig !!! Do not use this product it should be removed from the shelves.
I used the dye twice around 3 months…
I used the dye twice around 3 months apart (second time was a root application as per instructions). I'm now 3 months on and I have lost sooo much hair. Alot of hair falling out from the root for a while plus snappage, has left my hair in very poor condition. Also I had some tingling when using, which I don't think is right.
Wish I had never bought into using this brand. I used the Stacey Dooley endorsed colour
I have been using Nice'n easy for about…
I have been using Nice'n easy for about 20 years and have always been satisfied until recently. They must have changed the formula. The new one does not last. The colour begins to fade after the first wash and continues to fade more each wash so that for me after about 5 washes ( 2 weeks for me) there is almost no colour left. Very very disappointed. Reluctantly will have to find a new brand
The colour is at least two shades…
The colour is at least two shades darker than the box. I usually use a 9 ash blonde and this is an 8. My hair looks brown and honestly has never looked worse. Do not use!!
Clairol nice n easy 6w is the most…
Clairol nice n easy 6w is the most awful colour and definitely not what the package says.....I’m now left with this glow in the dark red brassy orange Foxy halo.....it’s terrible do not use
It does say 100% grey coverage on the box and that it does but the colour makes me want to cry
I have used this dye for a number of…
I have used this dye for a number of years and this is the first time I have an all allergic reaction to this and I am having to take anti hysterme cause my face swelled hair came out and scalp itched
My hair is falling out after using this
I have been using hair dye on my hair for years and have never had a problem before. I normally using Castings hair dye which always gives a lovely finish. Also used Olia Nutrisse and another brand. I could not find my usual shade so decided to try this brand. I left it in my hair for the suggested time but when I went to rinse it out my hair was coming out in handfuls! I was shocked! My hair is still falling out more than usual even now 10 days later! I can see where it has literally snapped off as I have 2 inches of hair in areas around my scalp! The dye was rubbish too as can already see grey hairs coming through and I have only washed it 3 times. Worried about using any dye now in case damages it further. Worst hair dye I have ever used in 20 years. Avoid!
Do not purchase if light blonde required
My natural colour is very light brown. I googled Ash Blonde to check out what colour my hair would turn out, “very light white blonde with darker roots and grey undertones” perfect. Purchased 9A Light Ash Blonde. My hair is now a light to medium brown, slightly darker than my normal colour. So disappointed, now have to pay out for a hairdresser to at least tone it down and pop some high lights in, £5 for dye, £80 for hairdresser grrrrr.
Dear Clairol
Dear Clairol
I have used permanent hair dye for 3 decades. I bought Nice and Easy 6R 3 days ago. My scalp was burned terribly. I have blisters all over.
You did something to the formula and it should be taken off the shelves Urgently!
Used for 55 years
I was 18 when I first started using Nice & Easy I have used it constantly over the years, I’ll be 73 next month, I have on a couple of times tried a different brand, but they do not compare with Nice & Easy my first colour I used was natural dark auburn, I used that colour for many years, when I got to 40 I started using the lighter colours, I now use a dark blond, even at my age my hair is thick and luxurious, many people comment on it, so after 55 years of near constant use it has only benefited my hair.
After using nice and easy for years…
After using nice and easy for years using g the new formula isn’t as good I will be changing to another brand so disappointing after years of use .
Poor experience since last formula change
Having used Clairol Nice'n'Easy hair colour (permanent one) for many years, I got fed up with the constant changes in formula and not being able to find the same colour two times running. Nevertheless I really liked the product and put up with such frustrations. However, this last change in formula, from liquid to creme is the worst. I've used it less because of lockdowns - who cared what we looked like; we weren't going anywhere - but the colour always comes out much darker than the same grade previously, yet doesn't last as well, hence the few inches close to the roots are lighter so I may as well grow grey anyway! The first time I used the new formula, my hair felt horrible; dull and stripped of its usual gloss (my hairdresser had always commented what good condition it was in). No more! Within a day of shampooing now it is dull, flat and lifeless. I thought perhaps it was my age, or maybe some time-of-covid-induced psychological condition, a bit like alopecia, since my hair was coming out in handfuls. That's why I decided to see if there were any reviews of this product anywhere online. I am shocked by the number of people who have mentioned thinning hair - my heavy, thick head of hair must have reduced by 20% in the past 2 years. I've not experienced the itching or burning that others mention but the effects are certainly similar. This confirms my instinct that I should never use this product again - trouble is, how will I know when another similar product suits me when my hair is in such bad shape?
