Nooooo good, nooo order arrived for over a month they find every excuse every time! I am only an hour away from the company! They then decided to cancel my order after my one month wait and patience, I did read the bad reviews but I still gave them a chance however very disappointed, also when I ordered there was nothing on site about delays and even if one month is a now on website it says to expect 2 weeks but guys I waited a month! total joke plus no follow up no tracking number or emails you have to keep chasing them to get email and phone they never answer! Avoid seriously!

Ordered on 5/4/2020. Due to be delivered 24/04/2020. Nothing delivered. No email to say there’s a delay. No response via email or through PayPal. Do not buy from them. You won’t get any products.
Update: Just had a message through PayPal now too. (27-04-2020) Stating they would ship either today/tomorrow. So they can’t even give a confirmed date for that either. Blaming a 2 week delay. No apology or anything. Useless customer service. I’ve asked to cancel the order.
And in response to your reply- a quick email outlining this whilst your customers await orders wouldn’t have taken all that long to sort out. You gave no apology in fact I found the customer service quite rude and condescending. That I’m afraid can not be put down to the pandemic. If you had emailed or apologised then absolutely it could have been excused. I see I’m not the only person to have the same ‘issue’.
I’ve now (08/05/2020) had to block their email address and any other email addresses that they’re associated with as I’ve had numerous emails asking me to remove this review by them. Perhaps if they put as much effort into emailing customers about delays as they do in emailing disgruntled customers after they’ve left a review of the poor correspondence then this might along with others have been a positive one. I took my order else where. Another smaller local business.
Further update: received YET ANOTHER email today (27/05/2020) asking me to remove this!! Sick to the back teeth of them. Anymore and I’m reporting them for harassment.

***UPDATED 02/09*** Hilariously, Clanbay have attempted to have my review removed from here three times now, because they aren’t happy with it being truthful. This latest time they have told me it is defamatory, so I have edited my wording to ensure the review remains live and available to other potential shoppers.
Placed an order with Clanbay on 2nd April, their shipping times were stated as '2 working days' with nothing to suggest delays due to COVID-19 anywhere on the website. I also received a confirmation email with an estimated delivery date of 8th April to back this up.
On 10th April, my order had still not arrived, so I sent them an email asking for an update. I waited until close of business on 14th April (after the bank holidays) for a response and received nothing, so opened a dispute via PayPal.
Unsurprisingly, the order was almost immediately dispatched after this on 16th April. Clanbay claimed they had a banner on their website advising of a two-week delay on all orders - I sent them a screen recording of me going through various pages of their site, with no mention of any delays. Yet another surprise - 10 minutes after they received my video, a banner was put on the website to warn future potential buyers.
I eventually received my order on 21st April - and what an anti-climax it was. The item was a decorative natural wood ladder - I didn't realise that by 'natural' it meant in all forms, including the glue used to stick the rungs to the frame being left stuck out like a cheap and nasty piece of DIY home project.
After all the bother of having it delivered, I have given up with any communication with Clanbay or with attempting to return it - I'll be sanding and painting it in the hope it comes up ok.
Avoid this company unless you don't mind waiting weeks for your purchases and lacklustre customer service. Awaiting their predictable 'woe is us' response now......but judging by the other negative reviews, this is a common theme.

Predictable patronising response from a company apparently struggling...I would suggest brushing up on your customer service skills if you want a future in business, not leaving condescending remarks asking buyers to remove or change their reviews due to your lacklustre service.
There are thousands of companies still operating during the COVID-19 crisis and are managing to do so by being open and honest with their customers - not attempting to stay above water by falsifying facts and delivery schedules. I won't be amending my review, thanks, and have already sold on the item I purchased to someone who felt like they could make it look presentable.
Also - Mr Stewart? Given you have my contact information AND a fairly obvious profile photo on here clearly showing I am a woman...I need say no more.

Bought a bar stool which was dispatched within 15 days. Within the first week the bottom fell apart. After reporting the problem to Clanbay, they did nothing about it. They requested images which i supplied, then they went quiet. And never replied to my emails asking if they are looking into the query.
An £80 bar stool is held together by some tape now. Avoid this company at all costs.
Please ignore their false pretend follow up emails on this website like:
"We are very sorry to see that you have had a negative experience with us....."
Its to make themselves look "trusted" but they are by far the least trusted.

Them sent out the wrong item and there customer service is appalling specially a staff member whom is suppose to be a manager too , he was so Rude and has no customer service skills. Despite there negligence I kept calm and hoped they would resolve the issue but they didn’t . They couldn’t send out a right item but couldn’t send a correct postage label either so I had to pay my self for posting back there item which was a incorrect order by track. Please AVOID as they don’t resolve anything over the phone it’s all Emails which means late responses. Worst company I have ever come across.ive had to go through PayPal for a refund Which is something I didn’t want to do. I have been in a bad situation with covid-19 with children and that situation was explained yet no sympathy from them. now the situation is being blamed on Covid-19 when this problem occurred before that. Not tasteful.

No refund, No order and continued refusal to acknowledge the refund!
As mentioned below, the ordered has never materialised, since placing it on the 30th of January. Refunds have been requested on the 28th of Feburary (if a date couldn't be secured), the 4th of March (as no cancellation happened and I had sourced it eslewhere) and repeatedly today. It transpires, they proceeded to ignore me and ship it anyway, apparently I now have to wait for the item to arrive, for me to now decline it, it ship back, before I will get my refund.
This is IF the item ever even arrives! Hopefully, this is the last hurdle in me receiving a refund, as I have been out of pocket 370 pounds since the end of January. I do have the item however, which arrived within 48 hours with another company.
Family business or not, there is common customer service and listening to a customer asking to cancel an item and facilitating it, is a basic duty.
In response to the returns policy in terms of accepting the sale as of the 30th. Under the consumer rights act, I have 14 days to cancel an order, also if you don't meet a date, (which is the 19th of February), i am entitled to cancel the order and get a full refund due to late shipment. Please see "Cancelling after waiting over agreed timeframe" under the consumers right act, (this is under which). The fact that you wouldn't refund and still haven't and are more interested in me removing a review you've not resolved, says it all really.

Very frustrated with my Clanbay order which was placed (and paid in full) early September. Good price for Ylana cabinet and we were contacted to say there would be a delay as new stock needed to arrive and a reduction was offered for this - fair enough. As of today Feb18th (yes 5 months later) we still have no cabinet. Following the out of stock issue, further issues included a pallet being damaged and needing to be reordered, a member of staff being absent and the issue being inaccessible by anyone else and therefore ignored, and now apparently the consignment being marked as delivered to us when we have not seen it. Meanwhile we've made arrangements to stay in for the delivery twice for no reason. Communication has been really poor, meaning I'm still spending lots of time chasing. Half the time the phones aren't answered at all. Really shockingly bad customer service, with the exception of one lady on the phones who comes across as helpful - but no results as yet. Hope Clanbay are about to sort this out and I will update the review on the quality of the product .
Update on 19th March: after more misunderstandings we took delivery of this cabinet on 12th March. Whilst the three layers of packaging were undamaged, once the cabinet was unwrapped we saw there is a big dent in the top shelf, which means the whole shelf is buckled, as well as a clearly-visible crease in the metal at the corner. We contacted clanbay about this the same day with photos and have received one e-mail back asking if we could "pop it back into place". I've mailed again repeating this is irreparable and visible, serious damage. Heard nothing back to that, and have e-mailed again today. We are just about heading into Covid-19 lockdown in the Uk so not expecting a priority response - it's only furniture - but nevertheless expecting a response in due course. At the moment I do not have the good quality, undamaged product I paid hundreds of pounds for in September. Last update 3 April. We have been offered and accepted a refund of half of the original cost of the unit, so that we can hopefully get it repaired locally. In normal circumstances I wouldn't have accepted this as I don't know how well it will repair, but in the current health emergency I thought it was a decent offer to just get this thing finished. As we don't know which companies will be left afterwards I thought I'd better take it. I have increased the rating to two star. So my final view: the people at Clanbay are nice, decent and honest people as far as I can see and the choice of products and prices are good. As you can see the actual supply of the product was ridiculously bad with delays and frequent wrong information and poor contact. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them if I were local to them. Otherwise - probably not, although I can see other people have had better experiences. I wish them luck in surviving the economic crisis and improving their systems.
