It's desperate, Dan

It's desperate, Dan!
Left to go to Radio 3 virtually as soon as 'it's all about me' Dan Walker arrived. Let me know when you move him on.

Dan Walker truly awful !!!!

This morning Dan Walker in presenting the breakfast show made the concious decision that using the word "Minger" was approriate for his audiance. He was wrong.

Waking to classic FM with Tim. L was a constant soruce of joy. However since january Dan Walker has been a constant source of irritation. With his clumsy presentation skills, poor knowledge of the subject and his limited vocabulary i find my self setting my radio presets to Radio 3.

Another lost listener classic FM ......how many more can you afford.

classicfm romance.....they just want your money

classicfm romance. i joined purely because a work colleague said it was good and they had found someone.
First lets make it clear, this is shared with some cronies called Rest Less...they are one and the same. Total lack of moral capability by both sets of people running these sites.
why would classicfm feel they need to fleece their listeners.
the sites look exactly the same and share the same people looking for someone. terrible. do they even know they are being shared between sites. probably not. i was made aware by another person.
im pretty sure many 'women' on here are stooges, they dont reply, dont read messages or simply send one liners.
both sites are impossible and just money grabbing. avoid at all costs.

Classic FM, not what is was.

For many years, my family woke up to Tim L. We listen to this station most of the day and evening. Lately the station has been playing some music too much - The arrival of the Queen of Sheba, anything by the derivative Vaughan-Williams etc. But on the breakfast show Tim L has recently been replaced by Dan Walker. Dan is a lovely man, I loved him when he did sports shows on the BBC, much more than Gary Linaker. But he is woeful as a Classic Music presenter. His voice is too weak for radio and his personality simply does not come through the way it did on TV, he has none of the wit or personality of Tim. I also question his knowledge of the music he presents compared to Tim, Ann-Marie and Alexander, even more so compared to Aled Jones. I fear he is a square peg attempting to get into a round hole. I also think Classic FM is far too keen to get 'names' to present their shows, rather than professionals like Tim etc.
Also lets drop the gambling ads shall we. Particulary around the School Run. Not inkeeping with your ethos I think. At a time when people can simple create playlists on Amazon music, Spotify etc, be wary of becoming extinct.

No to Dan Walker... Go back to Dog walking

Like others here wanted to express the disappointing change to the breakfast show. Dan Walker? It's a no from us here. We listen to Classic FM to escape the BBC 1 and its cast of bottom of the barrel presenters..so not grateful to hear Dan walker speaking utter drivel each morning. I like dogs but this guy is clinging onto this theme by his fingernails. Someone have a word with him please and please include "you're sacked".

LOST LISTENER

I have had a decent quality DAB tuner in my hifi system for many years with the majority of times tuned to Classic FM. Change to DAB+ means Classic FM no longer available.Instead of purchasing DAB+ unit I have bought a Streamer which gives access to internet radio.I have found several stations with wider playlists and less adverts. Classic FM no more!

Only listen to the radio a maximum of…

Only listen to the radio about 20 minutes a day in the car 5 days a week, and 1 or 2 days for an hour or two. Yet I am sick and tired of hearing Mozart's A Little Night Music and Carmina Burana so many times in the last few weeks. Well I only hear a few seconds or the announcement before I switch it off as I can't stand either of them. I mean what is the matter with the people who arrange what is to be played? There is so much wonderful music to play but they are fixated on music that isn't even that good. Zadok the Priest is also overplayed and Air on the G string but at least they are not insufferable although they will be by the time Classic FM have finished over-playing them.

Update: Within less than 24 hours of posting this, turned on the radio for my 20 minutes a day and lo and behold the very first track announcement was "Zadok the Priest". I had no choice but to turn it off because I have heard it far too many times ON CLASSIC FM and I'm currently so sick of it I never want to hear it again for the rest of my life.

Dan…Dan…DAN…DAN!!!

I’m afraid my (former) favourite radio station is on an inexorable slide to a self-inflicted nadir. Dan Walker? Really? He’s about as convincing as a giraffe with dark glasses attempting to enter a polar bears only golf club. Totally not suited. Granted, Tim Lihoreau was always going to be nigh on impossible to follow but Dan Walker? He sounds like a second hand car salesman. No polish, finesse or informed articulation. He’d be more at home on Heat Radio or such like. Please beg / convince Tim to return to his usual slot, one I’ve been privileged to enjoy for 12 years.

I'm going off Classic FM …

I'm going off Classic FM and will be listening to BBC radio 3 more.
New announcers....Jonathan Ross and Dan Walker...for goodness sake....they really have lowered the tone.
Furthermore....the adverts....they're a killer.
Enough is enough. Such a shame.

Classic FM...a busted flush.

Classic FM can move around and/or replace as many presenters as they want but until they address their ridiculously repetetive playlist, they will keep losing listeners.Mind you,I don't suppose Global boss young Ashley minds as he was in the New Years honours!Radio 3 is succeeding in becoming what Classic FM was when it originally started..I think Sam Jackson (ex Classic FM boss) is doing a great job for the Beeb.

The Deckchairs on the Titanic ."fresh new classic fm" looks like…

The "fresh new classic fm" looks like another arranging of the deckchairs on the Titanic. The ship is truly sinking. You move the wonderful Tim to make way for the insipid Dan Walker at breakfast AlexanderArmstrong is so full of himself it is beyond nausea. Thank goodness we have dear Ann- Marie. To inflict yet another dose of Jonathan Ross is cruelty. At least the overly pompous Andrew Marr has gone and the ever grumpy John Humphreys has been curtailed. I write this with great sadness, l can no longer listen to you as I know many other feel the same way. The wonderful voices of John Brunning and others are much missed.I have a huge selection of CDs which will replace Classic FM

Such a shame the wit and personality of…

Such a shame the wit and personality of Tim Lihoreau is no longer presenting the Monday-Friday breakfast show. Also, starting the new dry and dull Dan Walker show at 06:30 (and not on the hour at 06:00) is a bit unusual and disjointed when many would be listening over that time period.

I have been a loyal listener to Classic…

I have been a loyal listener to Classic fm since day one, I listen every day on my numerous DAB radios throughout the house . In particular my favourite is through my AV system with a dedicated DAB tuner.
Unfortunately, for no good reason you have decided to switch to DAB+ and made all of my equipment useless.
I made a conscious decision to switch from fm signal to DAB ( including specialist external aerials ) years ago.
You have lost yet another listener. Which you cannot afford to do according to dramatic falling listener numbers. Don Jowett

No more classic fm for me.

For first time since it started I have changed from Classic FM to another morning show as Dan Walker hasn’t got the knowledge voice or personality and I cannot listen to him. Such a shame.

SO repetitive

Have been with Classic FM from the outset but now can seldom bear it. The playlist is so circumscribed and REPETITIVE. All my friends say likewise, and have gravitated elsewhere (e.g. to Radio 3). The focus, as in so many organizations, is on new 'customers' at the expense of many existing ones. Such a shame....and avoidable.

I listen to Classic Fm most days

I listen to Classic Fm most days, most of the day.
However, Dan Walkers recent breakfast show will alter that. His show is dominated by him and the music a second to this. Other presenters prioritise the classical music more. I will be switching off for daily breakfast slots now.
