Hi Classic FM, I've done a review a few weeks ago, gave 4 stars. Said i turn off radio when adverts come on. Got tired of that, pressed preset to radio three everytime adverts started. So nice to he... See more

Started listening to Classic FM during…
Started listening to Classic FM during COVID and loved the music and the refreshing well spoken and intelligent presenters The only irritating presenter was Tim on the breakfast show who I would immediately turn off on my journey to work I was then thrilled to learn Dan Walker was taking over so I could leave Classic on my car radio
I switched on the radio this Saturday to listen to the lovely Alan Titchmarsh who was a great start to the weekend and a genuinely nice chap only to find Tim back and poor Alan given an awful slot between 4-7pm Disaster! Bring back Alan please!
Listen to Radio 3 instead
Listen to Radio 3 instead. Far better, and no inane adverts.
How many listeners will Classic fm lose?
Thanks for messing up my Friday…
Thanks for messing up my Friday evenings which i USED to spend cooking and listening to smooth classics and NOW it seems i have to listen to JR and weird movie music. You WILL lose your audience.
I own three DAB radios (living room
I own three DAB radios (living room, kitchen and shed) - none of which can now be used to listen to Classic fm on digital..which is what they have over the years been acquired for (the most recent purchases are distinctly new to me). This all amounts to a monstrous lie which was told in the days we were originally being persuaded to switch to digital. So FM has outlived DAB.
Absolute shame on Global and Classic.
Saturday night at the movies awful
Saturday night at the movies has really gone downhill since JR took over. Choice of music weird and drab.
Moira Stuart played some good stuff today. As others have said the adverts are awful and just go on far too long. I listen a lot less these days. Family have switched to Scala.
Can't stand Armstrongs supercilious…
Can't stand Armstrongs supercilious blithering (all inane talk - less music) and quailty of music has declined - too much lightweight stuff and where is all the beautiful serious stuff? Have gone back to Spotify and Radio 3.
CLASSIC FM MAY LOSE LISTENERS
I do wonder if classic fm. Have realised how many listeners they are to lose again messing with transmissions to dab +
CLASDIC FM LOOK AT YOIR LOW * REVIEWS , CHANGE YOUR WAYS.
Thank you ClassicFM for messing up my…
Thank you ClassicFM for messing up my radio listening. Why? Because you are changing to DAB+ for no good reason. Lots of people like me have older DAB Amplifiers and radios that means changing to new ones at £500+. For what? It was great as it was. I suspect ClassicFM is going ot lose many thousands of listeners and thus advertising revenue because of this. Well done for shotting yourselves in the foot. ClassicFM is not junk status.
So classic FM are changing to a new…
So classic FM are changing to a new super DAB format meaning that if you want to hear their music you will probably have to upgrade your radio . I for one will not do this as I believe they are missing the point of what service they are putting forward, instead of bringing music to the masses they are returning to the same old format, classic music is only for the elite . So I hope that most people won't change their radios and find other stations to listen to as this radio station is not greater than the people who listen to it
The same tunes over and over and over again.
The same tunes over and over again. No one seems to have any creativity. Nabucco slaves chorus, The sleeping beauty waltz, la Traviata overture. I could go on and on about the same old tunes.
Radio 3 in the morning at 9.00 shows how to play good and interesting classical music . Also the only opera seems to be The slaves chorus or Madame Butterfly, the humming chorus. What is wrong with some beautiful arias ? I am losing patience with Classic FM. It has been getting worse and I just want to let you know how bad it is.
Please Take AA off air !
I couldn’t agree more with the previous review about AA ‘s delivery . He is utterly ridiculous and pompous . He is so out dated which makes me I switch off every time he comes on . I know many other members of my family agree with me . Pleas take him off so I can enjoy the lovely music on Classic FM again ….
Listen to your own voice!!!
Great music but AA’s delivery is ridiculous- he speaks too quickly- raises then lowers his voice so that he is difficult to follow. Why does he not just speak NORMALLY!
We know he is extremely knowledgeable on music but he sounds soooo pompous and frankly STUPID!
Echo offer
Hi all, my feedback is regarding the Echo show offer.... it was bad enough
to have Jonathan Ross on Classic FM! But Classic FM offer code when entered correctly was not accepted even after several attempts a Notice keeps coming up saying the code is out of date, which is incorrect, as the offer end the 9th November and we are still a few days away from that! Come on Classic FM please please get your act together....
Rach 2 interrupted
Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto interrupted by adverts, then somehow LBC Radio interrupted that (we are in the car). Over the past year we have noticed interruptions like this regularly, or the music randomly repeating a couple of bars...it's very frustrating.
Wake up Classic FM - you are so boring.........!
I've been listening to Classic FM since it started BUT now I increasingly seek alternatives for my classical music listening. Would Classic FM like to know why? The inane squeaking babbling of the dreaded Alexander Armstrong - SIX days a week for heaven's sake!!! This is coupled with the ever decreasing selection of works being played - at one stage I gave up hope of NOT hearing Rachmaninov's 2nd symphony or 2nd piano concerto during the course of a day's listening - having had it pushed on air for weeks to be voted for in the top 300!!!
Classic FM's boring playlist will bring them their just desserts in losing listeners and consequent advertising revenue. Wake up Classic FM!!!!
Massive Turn Off!
Echoing a lot of comments on here. This station has gone downhill massively. I'm surprised companies actually place their adverts here as they can't have many people taking note of them. Indeed it's the adverts, of which there are far too many, which is a massive turn off. That, and the music played which seems to be on a continuous loop. The same pieces cropping up it seems almost in every hour! That Jonathan Creek TV theme music is a case in point. Plus they need a cull of presenters!! Oh dear......
RIP classic FM
I’ve loved classic fm for 30 years, I remember the test bird songs when I was 16, such a joy. Off and on over the years I’ve been back and forth, in the past 5 years working from home it’s been my full time constant in the working day. However with much sadness I’ve switched to radio 3 or apple classic. It’s not something I wanted to do but was compelled to do! Recently I’ve found the playlist is either pop classic or film classic, whilst I’m reasonably ok with a peppering of them, recently I’ve found it’s all there is! But the worst thing, the principle cause for my departure is the competitions! It’s so vulgar! It’s akin to listening to heart or absolute! I can not stand the ’dj’ calling someone to say they have ‘won’ something or other. Sorry this is absolute rubbish. I really feel for Alexander Armstrong making these cringeworthy calls. It was the last straw I turned off within 24 hours, I will not return unless the dumbing down stops. Sadly I may never know… I’ve left! So sad that after 30 years some useless executive has cheapened a brand I came to love. RIP classic FM
DEATH BY ADVERTS but actually really like AA
DEATH BY ADVERTS. I love CFM but have recently resorted to either downloading full albums from iTunes or listening to my Alexa’s classic playlist. All because I can’t take the adverts anymore!!!
Despite others comment I actually really like AA, I think he’s different and we should embrace quirky broadcast style.
Irritating adverts are driving me away from Classic FM.
I have been listening to Classic FM for 20+ years and I absolutely love it but the endless adverts are forcing me to switch off more and more. I'm sure I can't be the only one doing this. There must be many people like me who would pay an annual subscription if it meant the adverts could stop completely.
Movie music hall of fame
Well I'd never expected this?
Hall of fame dedicated to film music....Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Braveheart, Dances with Wolves....as though we've never heard them throughout the week, endlessly replayed.
OK as it said on the tin, movie music hall of fame....but try looking at classical music for once in the rest of your schedule please?
There's early modern music, world music as well you know?
Please cut the Karl Jenkins schmaltz and Lord of the flipping rings and examine the broad and wide depth of Classical music.
Repeating film music all the time and those endless adverts do not improve the quality of a once great channel.
