Clear Books Accounting Software Reviews 

We have been using Clearbooks since 2014 and it has been invaluable to us since then. Easy to use but very powerful.

Mostly really good. But, the new AI ability to complete bank statement transaction identification is awful and it’s very hard/impossible to correct the mistakes made by ClearBooks. What would be great is if it could do the auto identification but then allow the user to check the transactions before they are saved.

Really good value in comparison to others, we have gone from excel to this for both our businesses, it’s clear and easy to use. End of the year p&L now a doddle!

I run twp businesses and use Clearbooks for both. It's easy to set up and my booking keeping takes a few minutes a week. I would recommend it to anybody.

Simple to use, much better than Sage and Xero which I tried previously.

MTD is much easier with Clearbooks!

I've been using Clear Bookssince I set up as a sole practitioner. I always recommend it to clients and every one who has used it has loved the functionality and ease of use.
The help provided is excellent too - never have to wait long for a response and always sorted out very quickly.
I wouldn't use anything else and continue in my quest to get as many others using it as I can!

So easy to understand how the software works and support is there when you need it.

The software is intuitive, is fully featured and highly configurable, even with the ability to connect via API.
Perhaps an update to JSON for this would be good, but at least there is something.
Each time I've needed support, the team have been great and quick to respond.

I use Clear books to manage all my invoicing. I like been able to attach testing reports to my emailed invoices.
I have tried other software but they don't allow the attachments.
If I was to be picky, the ability to scan bills should be included with out having to pay a lot extra

I looked at other renowned accountancy sites and decided to proceed with Clearbooks as I found the software more user friendly, the format was very clear especially for client with little or no accountancy experience. The online support I have received when there has been any small issues has been very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend Clearbooks

A pleasant experience re-opening archived Accounts. This was done quickly by the team which meant I have the records available for HMRC.

Clear books has made it super easy to follow my accounting needs and be able to do all of the account and requirements that I need also on a sidenote when I’ve had to contact them I’ve been able to get through to an actual human and both times I’ve been able to resolve my query. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have control of their own accounting, but doesn’t want the hassle of having to take day, long seminars, just to learn how to do the basics

Been using Clearbooks for a few years now, for a small business or self employed person it is very easy to use and keep track of things, with powerful reporting and tax facilities included why look elsewhere. Add to this the very reasonable pricing and you can't go wrong.

A new customer to Clear Books, not used the software before, but soon got the basics all working well. Any questions I have had have been answered quickly and the online help forum is really good. I look forward to using more functions as I learn more about Clear Books.

Pros: Very easy to use if you don't need a purchase or sales ledger. Adding purchase invoices is painful. Telephone support is far superior to other software providers and the support team actually know the product (unlike Sage support).

Cons: No facility to email monthly statements en masse is a real pain. Sending statements individually takes forever. The only accounting software I am aware of that does not filter customers by surname. Very odd and makes it extremely difficult to actually trace a customer at times. As clients (and staff) make numerous posting errors, being unable to alter an entry that has been part of a previous VAT return is the biggest pain of all.

Sort out the above Clearbooks and you would have a 5-star rating.
