I have been a loyal customer who has…
I have been a loyal customer who has purchased from this company for several items in the past. However, I recently received an item that was incorrectly made (colors of pink were not matched as described per their online color pallate according to what I submited to be made). What I received instead were logos that were not matched in size, colors or pink that were not correct, and the quality of the fabric was beyond poor from what you could purchase from any athletic brand polo shirt or department store brand). Despite their refusal to acknowledge their mistake, I had asked for a return or even if they could offer a replacement item for equal or lessor value and they refused. Bruce, Greg, and everyone else that I has emailed refused to accept responsibility for their mistake or my acknowledge my displeasure in the product that I received. As a Grammy recording and touring artist, I will be sure to share with my network never to use this company moving forward. Do NOT use this company!!! I even called the Better Business Beauro to help me and this company refused to work with me!!! Avoid this company.
Update 8-13-2024: Clifton aka Marcus, complete lie and you know it! You stopped all discussion, closed your portion of the disagreement without even acknowledging your screwups. My response is officially indicated as “dissatisfied with the resolution” on the BBB website, (so nice try), so anyone who reads this review will now check it out. Look for my complete review on the BBB (.org) website and look up Clifton in Chicago, IL with my complete list of photos, etc. with Clifton representatives. This site does not allow people to upload website links so you have to search for it, but it is easy to find my review.
Clifton does not accept exchanges or refunds, nor do they have any accessible online company directory or anyone in charge of this company for consumer oversight for consumers trying to contact anyone! I suggest anyone who reads this review (which seems to be growing!!!!), who is contemplating purchasing from said company to review the American Consumer Bill of Rights, because they don’t have a legal department to deal with complaints from worthy consumers who have been deceived. Why is this company hiding directories for consumers? They are not accredited with the U.S. BBB.org so that says it all! See my full complaint history. Truth is real…Not sorry Clifton.

It’s a scam! NO UK ADDRESS…NO COMEBACK
What can I say, ordered a 40R slim fit blazer. Size arrived from China is too small for my 13 yr old daughter and they are ignoring me and refusing to help. (Note profile pic of jacket label saying 40R)
Had to pay by transfer - should have known this was a red flag.
No Uk correspondence address - just an email. I have asked 3 times for one and never answered.
UPDATE - at no stage was I asked to put in specific measurements - the jacket I received has 40 slim fit ON THE LABEL and not a single measurement matches that requirement. (see profile pic)
Please see my profile photo - strange a company that IN THEIR REPLY TO MY TRUSTPILOT REVIEW SAY THEY DONT DO OFF THE PEG SIZES ARE HAPPY TO PUT AN OFF THE PEG SIZE ON THE LABEL OF THE JACKET????
I can only advise all future customers - do not trust them.
The jacket also arrived with stains on which I have photographed and sent to them and they have never addressed.
If the company are honest why not list a UK correspondence address in their trust pilot reply?

Imogen Custom Short Sleeve Twill Rugby Shirt
I purchased the Imogen Custom Short Sleeve Twill Rugby Shirt with a blue collar and placket on a cream-colored shirt. The first washing in mildly, lukewarm water caused the blue to bleed into the cream where the two colors meet.
Bruce, with zero evidence, falsely accused me of causing the bleeding by washing the shirt in hot water. He made this accusation up out of thin air. I don't like it when people tell lies about me when they have nothing to back them up. I've owned dozens of shirts over the years and I've never had the colors bleed, regardless of the wash temperature. Clifton is selling a poorly designed, poorly made, defective product and is blaming me for the defect. Nice try, but it won't work!
I was prepared to return the section of the shirt with the bleeding, but they refused to accept it. I had already had three custom embroideries added to the shirt (at my expense) that have been submitted for copyright protection. I don't want those released to the public, so I was going to cut off the section with the bleeding and keep the rest to protect the embroidery designs. They refused to accept anything but the entire shirt, even though the bleeding was confined to a very small area around the collar and placket.
This is pure speculation on my part, but I believe Clifton wanted the entire shirt so they could measure it for shrinkage. They hoped this would prove that I must have used hot water when I washed it. No way would I send the entire shirt when it wasn't necessary to analyze what caused the bleeding. All they need to perform that analysis is the collar and placket area. Period.
The bottom line is that I'm stuck with a defective shirt that cost me almost $100 and nothing will be done by Clifton to compensate me for their inferior product (not including my additional cost for the embroidery). Trust me, I will never do business with this company again.
UPDATE (29-Sep-24):
I'm compelled to modify this review because Clifton's response contains blatant lies. I have an email from Bruce (at Clifton) that clearly states that the reason the shirt bled was because I washed it in hot water. So yes, Clifton made that story up to try to place the blame on me for their inferior, defective product. I've got the email Bruce sent and so does he. Clifton's misdirection and obfuscation won't work with me. That shirt NEVER saw hot water. Period.
Where in my review was I "threatening negative public action if we did not comply with your demands?" and committing "blackmail?" Are you serious? I strongly suggest that you back those accusations up with evidence because I don't see it and neither will the readers of this review. As it stands right now, you have zero evidence but plenty of false, actionable claims about me.

While the color bleed may appear to be confined to a specific area, a complete assessment is essential to rule out any other potential manufacturing or material issues. This is standard practice in cases where garment defects are claimed, and your refusal to comply with this reasonable request prevented us from carrying out the investigation.
It is also important to address your accusation of wrongdoing on our part. At no point did we "falsely accuse" you of using hot water. Instead, we sought clarification and proper evidence to conduct a fair evaluation of your claim. Your refusal to return the full garment hindered this process.
Furthermore, we must strongly object to your attempt to pressure our business by threatening negative public action if we did not comply with your demands. This form of blackmail is inappropriate and undermines the fairness of any discussion aimed at resolving an issue professionally. We are committed to addressing all customer concerns in a respectful and transparent manner, but we will not be coerced into decisions that contradict standard business procedures.
