Had a custom Rugby shirt made as a Christmas gift. Shirt is good quality & shipping was timely.

Thank you Bruce for excellent service, from initial advice regarding the personalised design I wanted for my wife’s Xmas present, to making sure the jumper arrived in time despite my late order. I am a happy customer.

What a great company, fantastic and prompt with dealing with the enquiry (This was not a regular simple project) they understood what I wanted and just got it done. Great communication, decent price, fast turnaround for something this custom, will 100% be using them again.

Something must have changed here, they just argue that whatever you raise is wrong and want more money each step…proceed with caution

Never asked for free embroidery, shirts not the same as previously supplied, but their reply sums them up perfectly, spend your money elsewhere

An ongoing game of tennis trying to reach a resolution to an issue raised at the beginning of July (3 months ago)! Read all reviews before purchasing, they are very telling.

This is the 2nd Cycle jersey order we've placed with Clifton. We ordered the Curzon (all season fabric) which with its 4-way stretch fabric was true to our regular jersey fit and has a silky feel.
We requested a few alterations like 2" longer short sleeves & the option of Raglan sleeve & Clifton design and manufacture helped steer on how best to make work with our selected jersey design and custom logo.
In total x45 quality jerseys delivered within 4 week of design signed off. Club are delighted & proud to wear their jerseys. We look forward to placing a 3rd order!!

Ordered a cycling jersey for my husband ,it was easy to order .
The options for colours etc were great , and when ordering the checks were greatly appreciated.
Any email correspondence was answered quickly.
The quality of the jersey is excellent.and the sizing spot on .
I would highly recommend to others .

We ordered Clinton's Zephyr T Shirts for the KCS 1st 8 to wear at Henley Royal Regatta. The service was great. Efficient and quick and the crew LOVE their tops. They wore them to warm up for each race and looked super smart. They had lots of compliments. Thank you – would definitely recommend and use again in future.

Impossible to talk to anyone on the phone so I was forced to put through the flawed design on the website and told that I could amend it after. Although not told I could only amend by email which can be hard to explain in writing but I did my best back and forth about 3-4 times until I was told to pay more for any other modifications! I made them aware I was getting this design right for a retail store that were about to put in a huge order had it been correct! Obviously that will not be happening, the design was poor and the quality was worse. Cycling jersey is a ton weight, I definitely do not recommend this company!

I happened to stumble on Clifton Clothing when searching for a company that did ‘old style’ rugby shirts for my Leavers. I have to say the service has been amazing, professional and personal from start to finish. I designed what I wanted, Clifton checked with me before production, we tweaked and they re sent proofs. Every step was explained and nothing was too much trouble. If you are looking for bespoke clothing with attention to detail and fabulous customer care … Look no further. Thanks Clifton I will back next year.

This is the first negative review I have ever felt the need to write.
Having used Clifton previously I wanted to ask if the sizes were still the same and quality still as good
Virtually impossible to speak to anyone.
Eventually I was assured by Bruce that they were.
It was very difficult to design the shirts we wanted as the design portal had a glitch , then the order form couldn’t be amended on a I phone.
Email after email ensued , to the point where I asked to cancel the order, even though I hadn’t submitted the final design I was told that it couldn’t be cancelled.
The Alarm bells were ringing. Confusion over deliver date ! So once again asked to cancel ! Can’t be done I was told .
At this point when order had been submitted I realised that what sounds like a British shirt manufacturer is importing the shirts from China.
So I wasn’t surprised when the quality and size of the shirts was absolutely nothing like my original Clifton cycling shirt ( that I still wear )
As previous reviews state , no apologies , no responsibility taken by the company.
I could go on and on but I wasted enough time and money ( £240 ) for shirts that don’t fit and nothing like original shirt sizes . Actually 5 inches shorter
Please read other negative reviews or prepare to be totally disappointed , poor lame excuse about previous order being winter shirts , you had plenty of chances to explain this prior to order . Despicable company avoid

- Response given is far removed from the facts and accuses me of dishonesty, now in a public forum (which is defamatory). "Marcus'" attempts to gaslight me appear to match the experiences of other customers: another reviewer experienced the same notwithstanding the fact that he was buying clothing for a charity.

- Still, no one from the company has contacted me by telephone. I have only received hostile and defensive correspondence in writing. It is alarming that this company will not treat its customers with human dignity, especially after Bruce Elliot was so eager for me to submit the order and transfer the price.

Original review:

- Bruce Elliot was extremely swift to contact me as soon as I’d requested call back from website

- I gave express instructions regarding our design

- I paid £412

- the shirts were significantly different to the design. The difference went beyond an acceptable margin of difference as indicated in the Ts&Cs

- the colours of the shirts bled on washing when washed in accordance with washing instructions

- Bruce Elliot has ignored all of my correspondence since problems arose

- his team have responded defensively and evasively, asserting without basis that the shirts comply with the design and that the fabrics did not bleed on washing - effectively accusing me of dishonesty

- his team have refused to send me a refund and have demanded I ship the shirts to Hong Kong at my own expense despite my explanation that this puts me at unacceptable risk

I have been in correspondence with this team for over a month to no avail.

Excellent product and clear communication throughout. The pupils are really pleased with the ties and they have come out just as we'd hoped in design.

I have to say that I am hugely impressed by your service. The design and personal help was superb and the delivery time was excellent. The product itself was spot on for our needs especially with the long zip. My friends love the cycle top and people have been asking where we got it done which is great. The quality is fine and hopefully after a few washes it still should be perfect.

I am most grateful for your smooth service and you alleviated much of the worry from the process due to your constant updates which were very helpful.

I hope you continue to thrive as a company and I am once again very happy with the finished article.

My experience has been great! Customer service was very professional, very quick and efficient and the comments given were really helpful and pointed out issues I hadn't thought of. The final product is exactly what I had imagined, great quality and finish, perfect fit, I couldn't be happier!

Three elements deserve excellent feedback:
1. Initial conversation - Bruce and the team were enthusiastic, helpful and professional in early conversation, ensuring we felt comfortable ordering through Clifton
2. Ordering process - The Studio team were both flexible and responsive through the order. We amended our order at one stage and this was handled transparently, honestly and effectively
3. End product - The jerseys were ordered for our clubs 50th anniversary celebrations. The quality of the product is excellent and more than met our expectations
