With personal access to the London showroom in Chelsea for two hours or so, I was able to play a great variety of pianos and choose one that suited my requirements without any time pressure.

Lucas was very helpful and offered gentle guidance.

So much better than my three visits to other companies.

Delivery and siting was surprisingly easy.

I'm loving playing my piano and it sounds great!

Against my expectations I had very bad experience with this company in connection with the delivery of a piano stool.

This negative experience I have previously reviewed clearly, consequently giving one star.

Since then the company has done everything in its power to ascertain why things went wrong and to correct this where possible.

This included clarifying the failures in the packaging and delivery processes.

This also included on more than one occasion offering to replace the product at the earliest opportunity.

Bearing in mind the trouble the company has taken to investigate and correct the situation I am awarding four stars in this re-assessment.

It's a piano heaven - an instrument range from the finest makers which is out of this world in a showroom that's more like an art exhibition. It was a privilege to buy what was a high end instrument from these people, and even two+ years in, when I've needed it, the aftercare is simply exceptional.

Buying a piano is expensive and can be traumatic. Lucas made the whole thing so easy - I spend over two hours trying pianos in the showroom in Fulham during which time I had the entire place to myself so that I could think about it carefully. If you already own a piano you have loved, the thought of replacing it is difficult anyway, but he talked me through all the options without pushing me towards any one brand or price point. I finally whittled it down to two, then to one, and then wasn't sure, so he arranged another appointment for me to back for ANOTHER two hours to try both grands again, and even then told me to go and sleep on it and not make the decision then and there! The piano I chose was carefully stored for me until I was able to take it, and the superb piano movers were in and out in 25 minutes, talking my much loved old grand piano away kindly and efficiently at the same time.
I am letting the new piano settle in and then I will arrange for it to be tuned etc through Lucas. I cannot commend them highly enough. Thank you to you all!

I was buying a slightly unusual piano that typically has a very long lead time. I live in Ireland. I found Coach House from their internet reviews and only ever dealt with them (Lucas) over the phone. Lucas found the specific piano model I was looking for in Germany, brought it to their UK workshop for prep and had it delivered to my house in Ireland very quickly. Delivery was seamless from their specialist piano delivery company, who sorted out all of the customs issues in advance - completely painless. Lucas was very knowledgeable and could not have been more helpful through the entire process. I would recommend Coach House to anyone.

Frankly, I won’t go anywhere else. I have been playing the piano for 63 years. In that time I have had numerous instruments including pianos and organs. About 5 years ago, the internet led me to Coach house pianos where I found Aled and the Yamaha Clavinova range. I am now on my third Clavinova. Not because there is anything wrong with them but because they keep getting better. On every occasion my go to friend Aled, gave me sound professional advice and I am now the proud owner of a Clavinova CVP 909 PE which meets all my needs and more.i cannot fault the service provided by this company. Companies like Coach house pianos are few and far between . I just wish I found them years ago. Thank you guys for all your help.

Coach House Pianos were prompt with their delivery after ordering. The product was well wrapped with the inclusion of a handwritten note…very nice!

Repaired the big scratch damage on the Steinway piano in our Chapel, gave it a clean as well, you wouldn't know it had been damaged, the work was done so well, I can't thank them enough, very helpful and a fantastic job done. Can't recommend them enough and if the piano ever gets damaged again, I wouldn't hesitate to get them back.

I have dealt with Sam Rusling of Coach House Pianos twice in the past couple of years - he handled the purchase of my beautiful new piano and more recently the sale of a piano I had placed with Coach House on consignment. He has been an absolute pleasure to deal with, offering patient and expert advice without any pressure to purchase until I was completely happy to go ahead. The sale of the antique Pleyel piano on consignment was quite a lengthy and difficult one due to the instrument's uniqueness and appeal to only a small, niche market but he showed great perseverance throughout the whole process and found the ideal buyer in France. The piano is now a treasured part of a museum of early instruments in the Rhone area. A very happy outcome. I have been impressed with the professionalism, integrity and efficiency of everyone I have dealt with at Coach House pianos and I can recommend them without reservation.

Despite apparently being on “back order” this item came within four days of ordering it!

Buying a quality piano is obviously a major life event for any musician. So it’s a no brainer to go to an expert in this field. Coach House Pianos tick all the necessary boxes and more. They take away all the stress of what might otherwise be a daunting prospect of buying the instrument that’s right for you. They have a wide selection available for you to try out without being under pressure. When you’ve made your choice delivery is at time convenient to you with the piano fully insured until it’s in your home, taking away your previous one if required. The piano will then be tuned once it’s settled in. All in all a seamless process under the expert supervision of Head of Client Experience Dan Rusling. Highly recommended.

My lifelong dream, since the age of 15, has always been to own a Steinway grand piano, since playing a Steinway concert grand piano in a music festival all winners performance in Harrogate Royal Festival Hall. It has taken me until now, 50 years later, to fulfil that dream, thanks to Coach House Pianos. Obviously, buying a Steinway is a huge investment, one that requires expert help and understanding of which piano would provide me with the touch and sound that I was after. Coach House Pianos provided me with just that expertise. It is a family run business with many years of experience of pianos, and they gave me the confidence I required to buy a wonderful Steinway Model A grand piano. What particularly impressed me was the amount of time they were prepared to spend with me pre-sale and that level of care and commitment has continued post-sale. I cannot thank Coach House enough for all their wonderful advice and for allowing me to spend as much as was needed to play the piano and others to compare before making the big decision to purchase my first Steinway grand piano.
