We had a fantastic week in Corvara (Italian Dolomites) with Colletts. Some magnificent walks in the local area and easy to get around using local buses, gondolas & chair lifts. The Colletts staff were great giving useful advice on a multitude of different interests. Can thoroughly recommend Colletts if you like walking in different areas/countries.

We love Collett's business model. We enjoy hiking by ourselves so we can stop and enjoy the flowers and landscapes. Collett's gives us the guidance to choose the best hikes for our abilities and lots of details about what to expect on the hikes. Ben and Conny in Austria were fabulous. Very informative and easy to talk too. They even helped us find an English speaking doctor when I developed an ear infection. They exceeded our expectations in every way. Ben and Conny knew all about the very challenging hikes as well as the easy hikes. They gave us info on the buses, trains and gondolas. They also knew the best restaurants and huts. Austria is lovely and Ehrwald is a charming village with everything you need.

Excellent walking holiday in Sils, Switzerland. This was our first walking holiday with Colletts, having used other companies in the past. We were most impressed with the organisation of the holiday from the outset and in particular the ability to chat to their knowledgeable staff about the proposed holiday.
The hotel Maria was superb with spacious room, delicious food and very friendly staff not forgetting the idyllic setting. The walks were varied and allowed for all levels. We particularly enjoyed the moderate/challenging hikes. What made it all the more enjoyable was the Walks Support team. Taea and Victoria were excellent-friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
We would highly recommend Collett’s.

Plenty of information about range of walks. The advisers at the hotel were great, helpful and encouraging.
The hotel was first class, food varied and tasty.

The hotel was brilliant, food amazing and most of all our reps Connie and Dan were the best, so helpful, nothing too much trouble for them. They were excellent!

We used Collett‘s for a hiking holiday in the Dolomites. Booking experience and pre holiday information was excellent.
Hotel (Posta Zirm) was okay, but very noisy - there was no aircon and it was very hot so we had to have the windows open, but our supposedly deluxe room overlooked hair pin bends coming down into Corvara which seemed to be used as a motorbike race track at night.
We were disappointed that the Collett‘s rep who was supposed to provide guidance on walks etc did not alternate around the hotels in Corvara but only went to the other hotel the far end of town between 6 and 7 - not what is needed in the heat after a long day‘s hiking. We felt we were treated as distinctly second class citizens.
The walk packs on the whole were very good, but we were very disturbed to do what was described as an easy walk which actually involved mostly walking for an hour along a very narrow scree path with a virtually sheer drop to one side. There was no reference to this in the notes (lesser exposed stretches were highlighted in the supposedly medium and hard walks. When we challenged the rep on this she acknowledged that it was challenging but that it was classified as easy because it was short! I can only say that I am glad that Collett‘s is not responsible for grading ski slopes!
Overall although we had a fantastic walking holiday we were disappointed with the in resort experience provided by Collett‘s and would not use them again. I provided all of this feedback (and more) directly to them on our return but have not had any response.

Colletts were very helpful for our first trip to the Dolomites. Lots of advice and understanding about what we might be able to achieve. The reps on the ground were very helpful too - and very impressed by the way they walked all the trails to check them and find new adventures. Hotel was basic but the staff there were very friendly.

Beautiful destination, well curated set of walks, very helpful staff at the evening briefing. Great food, very comfortable hotels. Six days of glorious walking in the Dolomites. Whats not to like.

We recently walked the Collioure to Cadaques route with Collett's Mountain Holidays. We can highly recommend the company as our holiday ran like clockwork. From the initial email exchanges to see if our proposed changes could be accommodated to the daily luggage transfers, the staff couldn't have been any better.
All the accommodations were great and well worth the cost. We were unsure about the inclusion of dinner but went with it - with the exception of a couple of nights, all meals were great. Most offered a choice for the 3-courses but there were two which the offer wasn't to our taste but that's our issue, not the providers. In hindsight we should have communicated our likes/dislikes in advance so something to remember for next time!
The app worked fine and it was good to have a choice of coastal or mountain routes. Maybe ask clients if they want to receive a hard copy of the route notes/maps rather than sending these out anyway. We understand that this is the 'belt and braces' approach, but for us, the app would have been enough.
We're already looking ahead to next year :)
Thanks very much to Dee, Pete and team.

I have had a lengthy conversation with Colette’s about this
The choice of hotel was excellent and all the information and support offered by the Colletts team made everything very easy. The area in the Dolomites was outstanfing, so beautiful and well ordered

Comfortable hotel with excellent food, stunning location and good range of walks. But what makes the Collett's experience stand out is the quality of the team in resort. Ben and Connie really went the extra mile, learning what sort of walks we did and didn't like, suggesting routes we could try including variations of the standard walks. Only problem - we've visited all the places with centre based walks, please can we have some new ones!

We were so excited to return to Corvara, where we skied for many years with Colletts, at the beginning of the walking season. Everything worked just as we would expect, with efficient and friendy transfer, lots of information about the walks. The pack we received is incredibly well thought out and presented and will be treasured for the next visit. We loved the meadows and searching for beautiful flowers. Accommodation very good.

Simply sublime! From first contact of enquiry in November 2024 through the Colletts Website, Administration staff responses during the lead-up months through to arrival at Eastfield Lodge in mid-June 2025, our Guided Walking the Dales experience over 4 days could not be faulted. The whole team at Colletts are professional, with Penny and Henry at Eastfield Lodge stars.
A+, that's it, plain and simple!
