Ordered cork and adhesive in January. Only adhesive received. It’s now nearly August and I’m still chasing my refund.

As others have said, avoid this company like the plague. I was sent an invoice for £62 from Fedex a week after the package arrived for import taxes.

I had no idea, at the point of sale, that the products were coming from outside the UK.

2. it said free shipping by Parcelforce Worldwide, which is a UK based company
3. At no point was I informed it was coming from outside the UK.

I do not accept liability for this cost.

Next email: "Can I assume, then that it is your position that I should pay the import tax for an order which you did not make me aware was to be imported? If so, this is as clear a case of mis selling as one is likely to find. The address you cite is a UK address:

As you can see, zero attempt to find a reasonable solution. And they are clearly breaking the law both in EU and in the UK.

As per other reviewers, this company is based in Poland (which they state in the small print but NOT on the home or product pages). Prices are given net of VAT, which means you'll get a nasty bill from the carrier afterwards.
I've raised a case with the ASA and suggest you do too. Meanwhile, avoid this deceitful company.

This company is in Poland and not in the UK which it doesnt show clearly online so very misleading as you can not send anything back if you need to plus you may have courier and vat charges on top ( which would be fine had it been clear that this is not a UK company) They are operating with a .co.uk email and website address. I will never use them again.

Avoid. Polish company not UK! Goods were supposed to arrive 22 December 2021. After receiving many texts saying goods arriving next day, they finally turned up 21 January 2022. All boxes were damaged when taken off van with the cork actually hanging out the bottom of the boxes. Under their terms and conditions, delivery was refused and the goods taken back. Still waiting for a refund in March, telephone not answered, so no goods and no money and extra £70 for import tax etc! Do not use!

YOU WILL PAY BREXIT TAX - AVOID

Despite the .co.uk, this business is based in Poland. What they don't tell you at checkout is that Fedex will bill you duty and customs charges. This was +30% on the cost of my order.

This company is not UK, even though the website is. We had to pay £90 customs charges which came out of the blue! We had damage to one of the tile packages, but corkstore24 have refused to replace it free of charge as we "didn't follow their protocol of photographing the undamaged box as it arrived" - the damage to the cork tiles was internal and not found until the box was opened.

A lesson check reviews before using a website.
Price quoted on the website clearly states "incl. VAT" yet of course no VAT is included and you will be charged 'import' VAT on your purchase. "Free delivery" perhaps but you will be charged a customs handling fee.
Had the payment process had honest disclosure - or better still upfront clarity - the existence of charges would be understandable due to the UK's place in the world - but hiding them is at least close to fraudulent. Acknowledging there is a 'customs' tab albeit mentioning there may be import VAT is undermined 'incl. VAT' splashed everywhere on the price you can see as it looks like it's been included...

AVOID!!! Crooks. You WILL have to pay customs- my order cost me an extra £80.
Website made to look like a UK company, even has an 0161 helpline number. Unfortunately I only found out this number redirects to Poland where the company actually is after I’d spent a few hundred pounds, and received my £80 customs charge letter. It’s just so deceitful. If you click through and read the terms and conditions it does state you ‘may have to pay customs charges’ but in my opinion this should be stated CLEARLY during the payment process. But of course then they would lose a huge proportion of their income.

AVOID - The website is .co.uk and yet they are polish.
You will probably need to pay customs and processing charges. This will increase the price considerably.
I feel that the company is not transparent about this - had I known I would not have ordered from them.
I paid £64.80 in customs and processing charges (content value roughly £150). There is one package outstanding value £65, who knows what this will cost to get delivered. AVOID if based in UK.

Please take other reviews seriously, I wish I had. Fake reviews come from Polish names, as the company is 100% based in Poland. It is not a UK company and is masquerading as one. Spent hundreds of pounds, no product yet and customs charges. These are not clear up front and mention only there may be customs charges in small print.

There is definitely charges and they will be expensive.

The worst retail experience I've ever had.

They say delivery is free. It's not - it ended up costing me +£80.

They say the quality is good. It's not - it's flimsy.

They say the items are well packaged. They're not - mine arrived badly damaged.

They say returns are free. They're not - you have to pay for it to get back to Poland.

Dishonest and poor product! Ignore the reviews clearly written by them!
This company mis-represents themselves as being UK based. A co.uk website, no mention of country of origin in the 'customs' or 'delivery' sections of their site, or at any part of the sales process. Then they use a shipping process that adds a further disbursement fee above and beyond the duty and vat. AND the cork tiles i purchased do not have straight edges, so leaves gaps when tiled together. Also wouldn't consider the grain to be 'coarse' either. Just a disgrace all round.

The product that they made is 100% worth the money. Good job!

I have not seen such a succesful company for a long time. Customer service is absolutely amazing!

I ordered a product from this company but 8 days later I still hadn't received a dispatch notice or any communication about my order. I messaged them via their facebook page but they didn't respond. I tried to call the published phone number on their website but a recorded message stated it isn't active. They claim their head office is in Manchester but it's actually in Poland. I would avoid at all costs.

Seller is deceitful. They provided no updates after making my purchase. After two weeks and no response to my emails I had to contact PayPal, only then did they provide a shipping notice.
They also claim to be based inside the U.K and shipping above £45 is free. HOWEVER, it is a Polish company and the items were shipped from Portugal. Today I was unexpectedly billed by FedEx for customs charges totalling £88.33!!

Customer service works fast and smooth. Delivery came just two days after I order it

Express shipping, good quality, reasonable price. What more could you ask for?

My order came after only one day. Nothing happened to the package. Good job.
