Ordered a Lady Nelson kit and some extras, came quicker than expected and we’ll packaged. Good service, thank you.

Ordered a model boat from Cornwall model boats but unfortunately got lost in the post, after several e-mails was replaced and sent recorded deliver next day, good communication just a little slow.

Ordered a Helion Rivos brushed RC-boat, 96% sure it was last one in stock. Brand new the run time I got was about 7-8 min doing perhaps 50% of the time at full speed and 50% low speed. Thought it was a bit low and I googled what run-time this boat has with the stock 2600mah NiMh and got the answer 15 min and I also found an online review that claimed the same 15 min. So I contacted Cornwall Model Boats about this and in 5-6 weeks now I haven't got any answer from them if the boat is supposed to run 13-15min or 7-8, and if they think something might be wrong with like a bad/inefficient motor?

2 weeks later they sent me an e-mail saying sorry that they hadn't replied yet and that they would relay my question and request to be sent a replacement motor (brushed for my Helion Rivos) "to the tech guys" and that they would get back to me. That was over 4 weeks ago now. Still nothing, no answers, no help or feedback to any of my e-mails.

(First charge of the stock battery charged 3000 mah into the stock 2600 mah NiMh battery and the low voltage cut-off left 425 mah still in the same battery and my shortest run was just below 6 min and my longest just below 8 min.)

I guess if you're outside of UK their customer service and will to answer questions, help or reimburse you is non-existant. They will just ignore you until you give up.

This is why I have to give them a low score of 1/5. :(

Edit. I got my response today (1 day after posting this review) from Cornwall Model Boats that under the best circumstances you'll get ca 10 min runtime on the stock 2600 mah NiMh battery and supposedly 15 min on a 4000 mah 2S lipo. Still, I bought this 5500 mah lipo battery and keep getting less than 15 min runtimes with the longest/best being a 14 min 39 sec run.

So I changed the overall score to 3/5 in hopes that they will come through and give me a reduced price on a replacement motor, but still a +6 weeks wait just to get a reply.

My go-to place for all things model boats-related, from minor fittings to big kits. If CMB don't have it, the chances are no-one else does.
Prices are about average. Dispatch and delivery very good; customer service prompt - I've had a couple of interactions with them. The only annoying thing is the flat delivery charge of something like £2.50; if you need something small and cheap, say, a couple of pounds' worth and fitting into an envelope, it just doesn't make sense - so either wait until you can put a bigger order together, or if you need it in a hurry, buy from Amazon.

Dreadful ordered a model which was delivered reasonably promptly although arrived with damaged parts
Despite numerous attempts to contact them via email and phone no response. So I am left with a useless pile of junk.
Buy from somewhere else if you can.

They have a good stock of modelling items and delivery was very quick.
I had a slight problem and they sorted this out which is a sign of a good company.
I will definitely order from them again.

I have bought many model boat kits from a variety of suppliers over the years and without doubt Cornwall Model Boats are the best. Being a small company you may not receive a response to your e-mail quickly but what you will receive is excellent service from good people combined with great value. What more could you ask for?

Well done Cornwall Model Boats, ordered the items on Tuesday, posted Wednesday and arrived on Thursday. In these challenging times I expected there might be quite a wait so was really surprised to see the postman at the door with the parcel today.

Have bought quite a bit from Cornwall and mostly been pleased. Recently I ordered a small part that was not clearly labelled. I have since tried to call them and being told that despite this nothing can be done to send the correct part without re-ordering everything.

Good range of stock but poor customer service

Ordered HMS Terror by Occre on Monday night and came Wednesday lunchtime. Well packaged and great price. Opened klt and looks like a good one. Even got stitched sails. Thanks!

Despite not buying my Artisannia San Fransisco Stage coach kit from Cornwall Model Boats, they really helped me find some new instruction after my CD became corrupt. I cant thank these guys enough and never excpected such exemplary caring service. Brilliant - thanks

very poor service and i wont buy from them again, their delivery is so slow and this is the 2nd time this has happened, when i order stuff online it comes very quickly and most of the time only 2 days later, but Cornwall model boats takes over a week, i cant recommend them at all..........they don't respond to emails quickly either it's always a day later. i expect it's sent by Royal Mail, it's quicker to import from China than use Royal Mail

I recently bought the Artesanialatina Fokker DR model plane from this company for £284.99. I subsequently discovered it could be bought from Amazon for £210 and directly from the manufacture for £219. I wrote to them to explain why there appreared to be such a huge mark up, to which I have not to date recieved a reply. Instead they have suspened my account presumably to stop me buying anything else from them due to my complaint. I have bought a number of models from this company over recent years but it seems customer loyalty and service count for absolutly nothing.

Best prices, very fast delivery, excellent communication between order and delivery. Have used them several times and will use them again.
