I've been a long time owner of Cotic bikes (now 12 years first with a Roadrat, now Escapade) and the bikes themselves have been great. They have been my everyday 'workhorse' bikes for commuting to work, getting around and have been flawless in that regard while being great fun to ride at the same time.

The ordering process for the Escapade was very easy. I picked one of the standard builds then Cotic were very flexible about swapping out some components and quoting a custom price.

I have 2 cotic bikes, (and a third before that). I have experienced only great customer service from Cy & the team. Both times I've bought complete bikes, I've been able to customise the bikes just how I like, with the team happy to substitute in finishing parts I've sourced myself if they don't offer them from stock. They have also been very helpful with any post-purchase queries. Most importantly, every Cotic I have owned has ridden beautifully and felt instantly intuitive to ride. I recommend!

over the years I have had 3 or 4 Cotics and honestly wouldn't buy anything else. Fit for me is perfect, I love the feel of a steel bike they are just bang on. Also worth mentioning is the teams customer service is unmatched and it doesn't change once you buy a bike. I have emailed them for bits and bots over the years (new bearings and such) and they always reply super fast and always willing to help.

Last bike I got off them was just before they ran a sale on some frames so out of the blue they emailed me and offered me the discount price. Brands should do this many don't but Cotic do. thanks!

My Jeht is the best riding, most rad looking bike around. More fun (and niche) than certain high end carbon fibre American ‘niche’ brands. I love in the Surrey Hills and occasionally go to the odd bike park and it’s blimmin wonderful. Wouldn’t change it for anything. I struggled with manuals at first with the 29” wheels but persevered and now I’m as crap at them as I was on my 27.5” Orange Five.

The customer service is brilliant, you actually get to talk to real people who develop the bikes.

Cotic couldn't be more helpful. They have a great range of bikes that you can take on a proper test ride, not just a spin round the car park. That allowed me to pick between 2 bikes and the one that suited me wasn't the one I'd have picked on paper.

They're great to chat to if you have questions about kit or bike fit. For a small company they punch well above their weight and put some of the larger bike companies to shame.

I know where I'll be going for my next new bike.

I love the cotic ethos, steel British bikes made well, that both last and look pretty 😂

What I mean is they ride really really well - I loved brands to Cotic due to wanting a bike I enjoyed, rather than took too serious - and it delivers just that.

Nothing too complicated - just a bike that is a joy to ride everytime, from a company that is east to deal with.

I’m 3 cotic’s deep at this point. Expect a fourth soon enough!

I've bought several cotics over the years, new, ex demo and used. Whenever I've needed help with anything the cotic team have always provided excellent customer service.
As a small rider owned business you can see the love for what they do whenever you contact them.

The bikes themselves are great, but it's the service and people that really set cotic apart.

I over-research everything, especially bikes. Cotic does an excellent job of describing their bikes and their design philosophy on their website. Even more important, if you email with a question, you'll get a prompt answer and genuine advice, likely from Cy himself. Some companies are vague in their advice, and I understand why. Cotic is not. They'll tell you what they ride, why they ride, and how it might suit you. I've been steered correctly twice, and have purchased a BFe in 2017 and a new BFeMAX in 2023. Both bikes have been perfect fits for me, and both ride amazingly well for the type of terrain I encounter. The BFeMAX is the only bike most people need. Climbs better than any bike I've owned before and descends as capably as most modern full-suspension bikes, while being simple to maintain, affordable, and good-looking. A+ company, A+ staff, A+ bikes.
