Good communication on progress of delivery. Follow up on purchase was appreciated although was in French only.

the knife and delivery was easy
however as an English speaker with a little French I was confused when I had to go "back" a screen to check my order and the text became French.
Also when it came to payment the language changed to French

Happy with the entire transaction! I am happy with the knife I ordered, the shipping was very fast considering it came standard post all the way from France to the USA. I have purchased a few things from Couteau Laguiole in the last few years and have always found them to be trustworthy and helpful.

Bought a custom pocket knife via the company's website, couldn't fault them (corresponded with Jean) in terms of friendliness and customer service.

The knife itself arrived this morning, it's beautiful but I must admit there are a couple of things which I am slightly disappointed by., namely,

One rivet missing from the "shepherd's cross" on the handle,
The tip of the blade is not the fine, sharp point I had on a previous item,
There is a gap between the main body of the knife and the handle, enough to slide a piece of paper all the way through.

I realise these are minor details, but for a custom item I expect greater attention to detail, particularly as the item cost >€100

All in all I'm happy, just could have been Really happy.

Apart from the five day wait for the post to arrive, a very pleasurable experience, a beautifully made little Laguiole knife that i can legally carry in the UK, both fit and finish is superb, it is almost like jewellery. Should i buy another Laguiole i shall look no further than Actiforge , but i may select the courier delivery option.

Nice finish, perfect fit. Clean engraving (name) on the forged spring.

The options for the custom knife were great, the knife itself is beautiful, and the delivery was well managed - overall, would recommend.

I ordered a custom laguiole knife and leather pouch after seeing one in a shop in La Rochelle. I was told at time of purchase it would take at least fifteen days to get to the UK. It did and it is a beautiful product. I am not only happy with the knife but the information given throughout. I will certainly use Couteau Laguiole in the future. For the quality of product and service.

Couteau Laguiole has knives worth copying. Companies have made knockoffs of these great knives. But, why settle for cheap imitations and instead chose the real deal? If you had the opportunity to compare the two like I have, there is a huge difference. Purchase quality.

I couldn't be happier with the Laguiole, the service, speed of shipping. Without a doubt, will order from again. Wonderful, highly recommended!

This is a very nice knife and it seems well made. However, there are a couple of problems. I ordered a carbon steel blade and appear to have received a stainless steel one. Also, one of the small nails which make up the 'shepherds cross' on the handle is missing or has been cut too short and has slipped inside the hole in the handle. Either way there is a hole without an obvious nail. Because I ordered a custom made knife and have had it engraved, and because of the hassle of sending it back to France, I've decided to live with it. I guess it's a true one off!

I love my new silverware. It is well made. My only negative thing to say is that the plastic inserts that line the nice wood boxes are cheap and mine arrived broken in both boxes. What good does it to to have a silverware box to store it in if the insert is cheap and breaks easily. For as much as the silverware cost, you should spend a little more and make that insert more sturdy. Thanks! That's the only reason I took one star off of your rating.

Excellent service

Really nice craftsmanship. Our family loves these pocket knives very much. However, the leather sheaths do not fit well (too tight), making it hard for us to get the knives out.
