Crockpot? More like crookpot

Having owned a crockpot for roughly 25 years we decided to invest in a larger capacity crockpot and purchased one and used it that day. When we had finished, I unplugged the plug and the back half of the plugcame away from the body exposing the wires. As asda was closed I decided to contact crockpot c/s and filled out all the requested information, date code & model number etc, and uploaded pictures of the damaged plug and received a c/s number and was told they would respond in due course. When the c/s agent emailed again the response given, came across as less than concerned and he asked me to send all the information I had previously uploaded and his response was he never received any details. I told him, whilst waiting between responses, I had changed the plug and his response was"I am glad you do not need any further help, should you need anything we will be happy to assist you, so I responded asking if they send me another plug or reimburse me the price of a plug? And the response was :"we cannot provide the price of a plug but can provide assistance but to do so I need the requested information. Absolutely pointless waste of time having a c/s as they are a real waste of time. I will suck up the price of a plug as its cheaper than driving to my local Asda to and stand at the c/s desk and go through everything again and drive home again.
We have been massive fans of crockpot for over 25 years but after this experience if it breaks down I won't contact crockpot I will just buy another brands slow cooker. Crockpot? More like croockpot

Crockpot, slow cooker

I received a top-of-the-line crockpot, slow cooker Christmas of 2023. Used it twice put it away and went to use it this year. The lights come on power comes on with the schedule and Manual lights are flashing. Went on Google went onto the crockpot website followed all of the suggestions for troubleshooting. It can’t get the darn thing to work. Called crockpot, customer service, one of the worst customer service experience I’ve had. I explained what I had done and basically got sorry too bad so sad. Can’t do anything for you. Goodbye.

Got a 6ltr oval

Got a 6ltr oval. The crock pot was warped. Gaps too large between lid and stoneware. Changed it to a 4.7ltr round. Crock pot was warped (the one in he currys store was not warped). The stoneware are poorly made - and when pots sat out of the heater, they wobble.

Bad service.

Had bought a slow cooker where the ceramic pot had a manufacturing defect. Was sent a new one by Crockpot NL only after I emailed proof that I had smashed it. "To prevent fraud". Ill doers are ill deemers I guess. Heaven forbid that I would try to sell the defect pot! That I've had hassles with it (contacting them, not able to use it for a few days f.e.) apparently doesn't count. Or that I was indirectly accused of being fraudulent.

Update: Just received a new ceramic pot, but not the right size. So I can send it back and wait for another one. Again. Hopefully the right size the next time 🙄

Defective coating

I bought a crockpot and have used it about 5 times. I noticed the inside black coating is peelingg off. I sure don't want my family to eat any of that. I would like to find out what you are going to do about this. The model is CPSCVO60EC-S. Please respond.

I bought a slow cooker and only used it…

I bought a slow cooker and only used it a handful of times which suddenly stopped working for no reason. I contacted customer services provided them with all the details and explained I have only used this item a handful of times and because the item was just over a year old they would not help me. They told me to through this into landfill. A company this size should be not just filling landfills with there dodgy products and put something in place to prevent this.

CSC031 Crockpot in design overload

CSC031 Crockpot in design overload take a simple product like a slow cooker and over design something like the simple lift off lid put hinges and make the lid so you still have to lift it off to serve. Rubber feet just fall off every time you lift the base off the work surfaces fine if you never clean underneath or put it away after use. Hinge also needs to be removed when cleaning as debris can collect around the screws and plastic holding the hinges to the lid and the lid takes up twice the room in the dishwasher.

Great customer support

Love their products, and their Swedish support was wonderful. I bought a "Time Select" model a couple of months ago which had a defect in the timer countdown, and after one email they let me know that they'll be sending me a new unit. Any product can have defects, but not every company has a nice customer support. Happy customer!

Rubbish

After using it twice the slow cooker died on me what a piece of rubbish!
Bought it around April, we had a great summer so I didn’t bother with the stew but now I would love to have one. I used it back when I bought it once, last month and today tried wasn’t successful, it was a great investment!
It was around £35 I thought is not the cheapest one but also not the expensive one so let’s go for it!
So what is the moral of the story, don’t buy cheap rubbish go for the more expensive one, better on the long run!

We bought a Crockpot off Amazon thinking it to be a good make because of its premium price. After about 20 uses and after the expiry of the guarantee the digital timer display has failed making it difficult to use. Crockpot can't repair it and won't replace it.
They manufacture in China and don't seem too concerned about quality.
I would avoid this brand.

Crockpot Smells

I bought a crockpot due to the increase in energy prices. I bought it online at John
Lewis for £99. It's dearer than a lot of other makes but this model goes on my induction hob, which makes browning extra easy.
I have only used it twice so far and I have been very happy with the cooking results. However, after careful hand washing and drying, the cooking pot it continues to smell, I then washed it again with boiling water from the kettle, it still smells. So I Googled "smelly crockpot" and hey ho it's a common problem. So it says use bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar and turn it on for 30 minutes. Hang on, I bought this to cut down on energy costs and less hassle. Now I read buy plastic Crockpot liners, what about the environment, and cutting down on plastic.
I am really disappointed about this, and it happens every time it's used. How about Crockpot changing the coating to one that doesn't absorb smells from the food. No I don't recommend this product.

Crockpot CSC024 AVOID

Crockpot CSC024. Do not waste your money on this product because the manufacturing quality is totally rubbish beyond belief. The inner pot is coated and this comes off into your food after a time. That must be bad - is it PTFE?
The control panel is sprayed plastic and a wipe with a warm cloth to clean removes the coating. That's cosmetic, but - hey - why make something this bad.

Do your research and get a product that the manufacturer cares enough about to ensure that it is fit for purpose and that you do not end up with bits of the non-stick coating in your food!

Rubbish - Dont waste your money

We've had our crock pot for about 12 months- bought from a Sainsburys store and can't fine the receipt.
It has cracked right through! We've had several slow cookers that usually last 5-6 years. This thing is absolutely awful quality probably made out of cheap sand and not properly fired when made. Will never buy another from the brand...ever.
