Bought creme da la Rosa Matt from Wickes and found it simply slides over existing White Matt. Cutting in with brush just doesn't cover. Going to take unopened tin back and use Dulux which has covered same Matt white with no problem. Never buy Crown paint again. Amazed still in business selling rubbish like this.

Quick dry Gloss brilliant white.
Absolute nightmare.
Goes on thin and dries so quickly that you end up with a finish that shows every brush stroke.
After 3 coats on my window sill I have given up and I am going to apply an oil based gloss.
Wish I had read the reviews online before purchasing. I won't be buying crown paint ever again.
Avoid like the plague.

I contacted Crown as I knew the colour I have used is discontinued. Maria was very helpful and confirmed I could obtain a colour match at an outlet that had one of their mix machines. Maria found 3 outlets close to my home address. Really great service. Thank you.

I have been out of the trade for 20 years, still do family and my own decorating.
My wife was looking at farrow and ball paints but I won’t pay their prices,so I went for the crafted range Matt emulsion in craft blue and their copper paint and the coverage and quality of the paint was amazing.
I will be using the range again and I am going to highly recommend it to family and friends, thank you for a truly brilliant product

We had a problem with a Crown paint product that was quickly resolved by Leanne. Excellent public relations.

Excellent place. I’ve had so much help and guidance from the team at leigh on sea Crown paints. I have been able to revamp my house at minimal cost all thanks to their expert advise. Thanks so much to Martine the team. I will always come back to your store for any paint needs. Thanks! Isabella

Absolutely awful quality of paint, bought 10 litres of Matt soft Grey, you can not cut this paint in, just leaves patches and it’s very powdery. Never again!!

I used Crown gloss paint 10 years ago to paint all the woodwork in a 4 bedroom house and it turned yellow within a few weeks. Crown did not want to know and fobbed me off with some vouchers as 'compensation' for 2 weeks hard work ruined...as if I would buy more of their crappy products. Recently I mistakenly bought a 10 litre tin of white emulsion along with a grey emulsion which I haven't used yet. It didn't occur to my at the time I was buying Crown which I had avoided since my first experience. Some of the white went on a ceiling and is so watery it splashes everywhere and coverage is very poor. I also used some to try and cover a magnolia wall (not exactly a dark colour!!) and 4 coats later I can still see magnolia. I am going to try and return the grey as I'm sure it will be equally poor. I can't believe that Crown paints are still so bad 10 years on. Avoid at all costs it's rubbish!!!

Recently bought ‘family tree’ from your heritage style range - so bad my decorator refused to continue with this paint. Will not be buying again. Nice colour - terrible paint.

Always used Crown briilant white matt paint for the ceilings. Never again after this last purchase. Dried on the ceiling a dirty looking grey colour (after 3 coats) and was still patchy!!!
& the consistancy of watwr! looks absolutely awful. Crown, what is going on with your retail paint??? It never used to be like this

Amazing customer service via the website and in person at the crown paint trade centre. Had a problem with some paint it was quickly sorted. Very understanding and genuinely helpful. I’m so impressed and would not hesitate to recommend crown paint and their customer service. Thank you so much Leanne.

Used brilliant white silk in bathroom and coverage was as expected alomng with opacity - it was over a similar shade but still expected to have to paint a few coats. Seems to be fine with moisture and not as bad with water lines on the wall after a shower as others I have used. All in all, good paint at a decent price.

Purchased 3 tins of Clay White silk . Used roller to apply on wall and after the first coat, it looks awful, patchy and translucent at this rate I will need 4 or 5 coats. I am giving up and requesting a refund on the remaining tins. Worst paint I have ever used. Wish I had looked at other reviews before purchase

Well bought some paint for my decorator to use and he had applied 4 coats and it still looked milky and rubbish. It doesn’t make sense to use this paint as it costs twice as much in labour and gives a bad finish. Surely you should revisit the formula you are using crown paints? People just won’t buy it again until you do..

This is some of the worst paint I have ever used. The coverage is terrible and after 4 coats its still as patchy as if I painted it with milk.
Like they say, buy cheap, buy twice. Never again with Crown

Ordered paint samples from them expecting paint pots as they charge for them ? Received bits of card with the colours on them & some bs that it’s less messy that way , think the true reason they are too tight to supply paint samples although they still charge for them , looks like I will be buying my paint from the competition who can be bothered to send real paint

I have just finished painting my ceiling with b/w matt emulsion and can honestly say this emulsion is rubbish. The quality and coverage is one of the worst I have ever used and to top it the smell is appalling . A waste of my time and money...

Hi, I have always bought Crown pure white mat emulsion paint and it's always been good quality But I have just painted my ceiling With a new 10l tub of paint And what rubbish it is I am very disappointed with the quality

Went to re-paint some areas recently painted with Blue Gravel matt only to find entirely different tone, despite coming from the same batch number container. A disaster, and will have to re-do the entire room again thanks to poor quality product from Crown Paint. It seems impossible to ensure exact matching when using paint from a different container even with the same batch number. A frustrating waste of a time and money with Crown. Will try another producer.
