I am currently in france and the subtitles area automaticaly locked in french even tough there are plenty of languages crunchyroll has for subtitles in one piece, i cannot change it and cannot watch it just because i am physically in another country, i do not recommend paying for poor services like these.

Not a great streaming service if you don't watch anime often. Many shows are locked by premiums, especially if they're more popular. It's not advised to get their premium considering that, in the past, people's card information has been hacked and stolen from the site. I have run into this issue on multiple occasions trying to watch something new.

About a fourth of the time spent watching episodes is spent watching ads. Plus, when I was offered a two month subscription through Game Pass, I put my Cashapp card info in, the website acts like it doesn’t know the card exists. I will eat a devil fruit and jump in to the sea before I ever use this website again.

Never heard of these until multiple attempts to take money from me without my knowledge. Absolute thieves.

They are a bunch of Scammers, they take money without even informing you, and the worst customer service you can get.

5 unskippable ads every 5 minutes and before each episode, i wish i was joking, but I'm not. stuff them man. oh sure, i could subscribe, for 1 ad every in-between episode

Get a call from my bank about a suspicious charge for $11.99 from Crunchy Roll. I've no idea what Crunchy Roll is and neither does the bank. I dispute the charges.
Do a little research and find out that Crunchy Roll is an anime and gaming service.
A service I never had heard of and never signed up for.

Find a service number for them and guess what?
It wasn't in service. By the, its a San Francisco, CA number.
Next I go to website and get the chat bot.
Nothing can be done because I don't have a screen shot from the bank.
I call Spectrum to find out information about this anime streaming service and they don't know anything about Crunchy Roll.
Somehow Crunchy Roll is tapping into all kinds of accounts from what I've read on this site.
Call your bank, notify your cash apps about this site.
Whomever is running Crunchy Roll needs to get it together and straighten this out before it becomes more than a nightmare

Shitty company that withdraws money without allowing you to cancel your active subcription

I love the selection, but the streaming service is awful. I have no issues with any other. This will buffer and cut out constantly. I would gladly pay more money for the service to work properly.

Shitty customer service, purchased a premium subscription through youtubetv, didn't transfer despite using same email. horrible customer service saying at first it isn't possible, yelled to get escalated for a solid minute, did, said it would take a view days when i know it wouldn't be that long. They can duck off.

Never heard of CRUNCHYROLL until a subscription charge appeared on my debit card. Contacted them, provided details of the charges, and was told "Please be assured that I have successfully canceled the subscription and processed the refund for the charges". Told the support person (Harshita) multiple times I never had a subscription. Almost 3 week later, no refund. Stay away from these people. They are obviously thieves.

This company/website will allow others to use your card information and then when you try to get to the bottom of it they’ll say “we can’t find any information that someone used your card”.

Really? Cause it showed up on my account AND my bank agreed with me that someone used my card information on your website.

AI generated garbage subtitles have been used without disclosing it. I noticed a year ago but didn't realize that was the reason because it would've been ridiculous. That's a lot of time wasted.

This was the worst treatment ever from customer support. We bought an expensive shirt, washed one time, inside out in 30 C, and the print faded away totally, you can´t use it. We had also an subscription on their streaming service, but we ended it right now.

Crunchyroll is a FRAUD, a SCAM. They charge my debit card for 131.23 though I do not have an account w/ them. I do NOT even know that you exist.

Logs me out and asks me to reset my password then logs me out again and the cycle continues. How is this acceptable? And yes I pay a subscription fee. Criminal. If I could give it 0 I would

I subscribed for 2 months. The genres are badly organized, there is no way to filter by age rating, and overall the interface is very difficult to use. While they do have a good amount of anime, they don't have everything. In addition, the "free episodes" are not even worth it, as the literally pack 15 ADS into ONE episode. Overall, a disappointing experience. If you are an anime fan, use a different service: this one isn't worth it.

This is a recent experience with a still being uploaded and dubbed anime, the apothecary diaries.
It's a pro prostitution anime.
I was trying to give it a chance, it was okay till season 2 episode 33, title- the late emperor.

It's a pro pedophile episode in a pro prostitution series.
It is openly stated the late emperor is a pedophile, and he hates grown women pushing down his adult female concubine.
A younger child, lady in waiting walks up to him. Knows what he is, they then draw it and voice act it out like she likes and wants the emperor, a full grown man.

They then tell us he impregnated her, and then he stopped touching her because she got too old and then we see hes collecting more younger girls to impregnate and they portray the little girls as wanting to be impregnated by the adult male emperor.
Even to the point of the first little girl growing older and being jealous of the little girls being assaulted.
They mention they were not mature enough.
And the series from this point keeps mentioning he deflowered young girls.

Not raped not assaulted, deflowered.
There was no warning of child sex abuse. And no warning of pro pedophilia content.

As a big company you would assume they screen their anime, and have enough resources to put a label on the listing as well as who thought this was okay to be dubbed in English?
As a csa survivor this has reopened wounds that I have to heal over and over again.
I hope this review will bring positive change and prevent csa survivors from having to be surprised with pro pedophilia content from a company .
