A strapless Curvy Kate bra left me with blisters and scarring. The bra was purchased after a shop fitting, so my size was not supposed to be the issue. However, after wearing the bra I was left with raw sores and water blisters.
After contacting Curvy Kate by email, the response referred me to their disclaimer:
“Luxe, the product has a disclaimer attached to it which indicates that the product contains silicone, this disclaimer is attached to help inform any customers who may have a skin reaction to silicone. Unfortunately it appears that customer has had a reaction to the silicone and therefore I would suggest that she no longer purchase any products which contain silicone to avoid this type of reaction in the future.”
I have never ‘reacted’ to silicone before! The blisters were on both sides of my rib cage, although the ‘silicone’ is on the whole perimeter of the bra? The standard response was the end of that, as far as this company is concerned. Sadly, I cannot seem to upload photos to show how raw my skin was.
Now scarred as well as very disappointed with the response received. Shop elsewhere.

Just received my 1st order....huge disappointment, was meant to be pink...was peach.....the front of bra was pvc !!....looked cheap n nasty...needless to say its on its way back....thought I had actually found somewhere for the fuller figure....
A great selection of undergarments in a range of sizes. My biggest issue with this company has been with returning items. Twice now I’ve had to chase up refunds on returns. Both times they had received the returned items and yet their systems did not flag up the need to send the refund. They were very helpful after I had contacted them and pointed out the fact but it’s still annoying that I had to do that.
Really disappointed with the bras that I ordered, after reading some reviews of 1 bra many said to size up the back. I did and thank god I did as the 36 is 2mm smaller then the 34 bra! The second bra is also a bit in the small side, I also have the straps at almost the longest on both bras. iv bought bras from a few online shops as getting bigger bras (+DD) is difficult. Sad to say I will not purchase anymore from curvy Kate.
Should have read the reviews here sooner regarding US customers - they DO NOT OFFER RETURN SHIPPING BACK TO THE UK! And this is even worse because they ADVERTISE free return shipping on their U.S. site when you google it. When I emailed their customer service they could not care less and just said it must be an error. This is fraud and a violation of consumer protection laws.
Do not I repeat, do not purchase from this website if you are in the USA they do not offer returned shipping. You the consumer instead need to pay out of pocket to return which is located overseas. They will not refund me for my purchase. Instead I would need to pay over $100 to return to them although my total was $135. Horrible customer service.
I have a few items from Curvy Kate after booking an appointment with the Bra Whisperer to confirm I had chosen the correct sizes after using the sites bra guide.. I love the quality, styles and fit of every piece. The scantily clad is a favourite of mine!
Definitely recommend this company for bras to comfortably fit the bigger busted women, without having to look like a boring old granny!
The best bras I’ve ever tried , the bra quiz was my first stop , I was unsure changing from what I know to another brand but I’d heard such good things. The quiz was spot on, my bras arrived perfect condition in the most wonderful recyclable packaging , as they say , less is more. The bras were top quality material didn’t feel cheaply made and weren’t scratchy like I found some of my old bras. The fit was perfect and the bras were so comfortable to wear I work long hours in a hospital and it felt comfy all day and I didn’t have that moment at the end of the day where I’d be greatly relieved I’d taken it off. All in all the perfect bra and will be buying more.
Shocking customer services. They still use Evri - parcel lost, no response from customer services, going in circles. Money taken yet no responsibility. AVOID.
I’ve purchased thousands of dollars worth of lingerie from this company despite all of their recent sizing issues( meaning you could order two different bras in the same size and have a completely different measurement for the band and cup.) for my birthday my mother purchased me a gift card online. I go to use it and I can’t, it says “invalid.” So I reach out via email. I exchanged two emails with someone named Rebecca who asked me to send screenshots of the message I was getting because my GC was indeed active. She replies back with “ I can advise this Gift card was purchased on our UK website, and will not work on orders on the US website in $.”
LOL WHAT?! What kind of customer service is that? What kind of reply is that?! No solution just sorry your f*d we took your money and you’re f*d because you’re a American with a uk gift card?!
I don’t know what to do at this point that’s at least 120USD down the drain. The absolute worst experience.
The new Soft Tease Chemise in Fig is an absolute delight. The bamboo derived fabric is so soft and stretchy, it’s genuinely the most comfortable piece of loungewear that I own! And the support it gives isn’t compromised by how stretchy and soft the fabric is: I’m debating buying the whole range, especially if it comes in other colours! It’s extremely well made and makes you feel amazing in it too.

I used to really like this brand - high quality and well-fitting bras. The three I've had recently have been unusable after washing as some substance has pilled between two layers. Unfortunately customer service has not responded to me, despite emailing and reaching out on social media.
Well Curvy Kate specialise particularly in lingerie and swimwear for, you've guessed it, curvy women!
And they stock products (allegedly) from 28D up to 46K. So I thought Black Friday sales, nice time to see if I can get a selection of beautiful items for my wife who is a 42GG.
Imagine my surprise then when not a single item is available in 42GG. Not even ONE item is available in that size, in spite of the fact that I can always find items, that fit well and are always in stock in that size at Marks & Spencer stores and at a MUCH cheaper price.
What an absolute shambles of a company, and clearly an entirely mismanaged supply chain. I should add that on further inspection, most larger cup sizes (think G-K) are only available up to a back size of 40, so if you are 42 or higher, the chances of you finding something are very slim.
Perhaps they should rethink their branding and approach and get someone in who actually knows how to run a business properly.
Will never seek to use this company ever again!
Not true to size. Curvy Kate Victory Balcony Bra Latte -ordered a size 36DD which is what I usually wear but it was far too small and poor quality. I was very surprised by all this, considering they appear to be so posh.
Awful customer service, managed to return a bra that was the wrong size but after paying for and ordering a replacement inclusive of paying for shipping over 2 weeks later and no sign of my parcel. On top of this when calling the helpline during service hours 9:30am on a Tuesday was repeatedly cut off after 2 minutes of wait music, live chat wasn't available and now I am scrambling for another option for this weekends costumed event.
Awful customer service, do not trust to deliver on time or at all.
I haven’t received my order yet, but had an email to say that I requested a refund. I spoke to Adriana on a live chat and I’ve never experienced a live chat to be so helpful and stress free! I was instantly told the issue and was offered a discount and was told they will investigated immediately. This was within at least 5 minutes of telling them my issue. Well impressed.
Fingers crossed my order arrives soon and they will be great!
