Couldn’t care less about customer/patient service

Been going here for a year or so since I retired as a hospital pharmacy director. I only have 3 routine meds so I’m not here often but every time I go I’m appalled at the staffs lack of customer service and lack of willingness to work with their patients (i.e. me). Today I stood in line to pick up a prescription that they placed on routine refills, is way too early, and they’ve text constantly over the last week to come pick up. As I reached the pick up counter I was told “um sorry it’s past 1 PM and we close for lunch between 1 and 2”. Me “so I can’t pick up my 1 prescription?” Pharmacist, “no you need to come back in an hour”. The pharmacy tech would have rung be up in 1 min tops (no co-pay) and I’d be gone. Now I’m pissed enough that I’ll be transferring my prescriptions to Fred Meyer. I know these employees don’t care but maybe if they go the way of Rite Aid they’ll figure it out. Also, Why can’t you all go to lunch in shifts and put patients first like we do in a hospital? You don’t need to close. Patient care 101.

Worst customer service ever.

I'm done with CVS. My 87-year-old mom is a loyal long-time CVS customer who spends thousands of dollars in prescriptions and merchandise each year. She has basic computer skills and up until recently, she was able to refill her prescriptions online without a problem. Now every time she signs in, they also want to send a code. She does not have a smart phone and cannot receive a text. Therefore, the code is emailed. This is confusing to her to navigate between her email and the CVS website to retrieve the code. I have called multiple times in an attempt to resolve the situation, the most logical solution being turn off the two-step verification. Each time I first had to get past the robot to speak to an actual person. Next I spoke to a customer service rep with a heavy accent who was extremely difficult to understand. Now imagine how difficult that must be for an elderly, hearing-impaired person. After spending way too much time on the phone, being put on hold multiple times, there was no resolution. Since CVS stores no longer answer phones, she cannot call in refills. In addition this store frequently is out of her medication. CVS does not care about their customers and I will be transferring her prescriptions and shopping elsewhere.

I have been trying to get a prescription filled for days with this new phone service. Get cut off. I have been going to CVS since it was Revco, thinking now I need to find another drugstore! It was always so easy to call for refills, now impossible!

This will be the 4th time I’ve…

This will be the 4th time I’ve complained about Cliff, the store manager at 1520 East F St. Oakdale Ca. 95361.

While this store is the closest to me to buy a brand of rum that’s affordable, I hate going there. I’ve reported these issues to Corporate, giving my phone number asking to speak to a representative, but no call from CVS ever happened.

I’m a senior citizen with senior moments so I don’t recall ALL the details of every incident but allow me to give a couple examples. The manager yelled at me across the store, embarrassing customers and employees. Why? Well, you see I have MAJOR back problems causing excruciating pain in my left hip. So, before I leave my house I call to see if they have my rum in stock and ask that it be brought to the register. They usually only carried 2 bottles a week which were often gone when I called. Some time ago, I asked if they could carry more, and a manger said that’d be no problem.

I bought 6 bottles at a time, and they put them in the warehouse for me. Else I must go to a CVS store 40 miles away. Driving HURTS! For several MONTHS this was not a problem. Then one day, I called, they said they had rum. I asked that it be brought to the register. When I got there, I saw Cliff, whom I’ve seen several times. He pointed to the location of the alcohol and TOLD me, LITERALLY to, “Go get it yourself!” I was shocked! I asked if he’s ever seen me limp. I limp BIG time. A seeing eye dog could convey this to a blind man. I asked if he’d ever seen me put the rum in my car that gets parked in the handicap spot. (I KID YOU NOT) He said, “Yeah, so?”

Okay, I’m a short, overweight (but not obese… And so, what if I were,) 74-year-old, thus not so attractive anymore, ugly old man. Is that why I get no respect from this man? I make people laugh!

Another incident: I called, Rum was there, went to pick it up (hoping Cliff wasn’t there) but he was. This time he told me he already told me to get it myself. He yelled that, as he walked away from me. My daddy always said to me, “entertainment at another’s expense is a great value”, so I asked if he treated his wife like crap too. People laughed! Evidently, they thought he was an ass too. He continued to yell at me from across the store!

Another incident that I don’t recall, but a similar behavior, that, I DO recall. Today I called to see if there was any rum. I recognized his voice and wondered if he ever took a vacation. Said he’d check. Came back and told me they had 2 bottles. I was surprised because, like today, I was already in the neighborhood. Maybe 10 days apart. Remember, I said they stored some in the warehouse, just for little old me. Asked him if he checked in the warehouse. He said, “Do you think I don’t do due diligence? I know how to do my damn job, and I’m not walking all over hell, just for you.”

LONG time ago, I worked for a computer store. General manager had SUCH a bad attitude. Every employee had a bad attitude. There’s a saying. Fish stinks from the head down. I can see Cliff telling the employees how stupid customers are. Or how inconvenient WE are. And the employees telling him what a pain in the ass we are. Or how stupid WE are, because that sink trickled down from his head. I’m SURE I’m a massive pain in the ass. I mean, I expect people that are paid to do a job, to do their job!

FIRE this man! Tell you what… I owned a VERY successful Cyber Security firm in which we employed a century old set of rules. 1. The customer is always right. 2. If a customer is wrong, see rule number 1. I added to that a third rule. 3. If the customer is a blooming IDIOT, place them on a pedestal and make them feel like a genius!

REPLACE this man!!! There’s a Rite-aid, 45 miles away that stocks plenty of my rum. It’s cost me $88.00 per month to drive there. Painfully! My rum is around $300.00/month @ #25.00 /bottle? Chump change for you, right? How much is that? Several thousand $/year? You probably have that in your junk drawer, *I* only want respect! Onto the bbb.org, next. Along with TrustPilot, Yelp, google maps, consumer affairs and several other review sites.

I know you don’t care, because giving a crap is a waste of time, but what better time do you have to spend? Are you so busy handling hundreds of thousands of complaints, or does it not work with your work life balance?

Come on people, care!

Rude and hateful pharmacy tech and pharmacist.

I'm going to be very honest about my review for CVS on Campbell Ave in Lynchburg VA. The pharmacist and the pharmacist's help or the pharmacist.Technicians are the most rudest people.I have ever met in my life in any customer service setting. The pharmacist actually rolled her eyes at me.Just a few days ago , when she had to come to the counter as a consult from my medications. They never say thank you. They make you wait even though they don't have to I can be standing in line and getting my medicine and if they have to go back to get something or I have to go to get my wallet and when I come back they make me wait back at end of the line to be waited on again. I have never once been told thank you and at the end of the day.Kindness brings customers back.I've been getting my prescriptions filled at this pharmacy For years. My whole entire family goes to this pharmacy.I am in the process of getting them all switched to somewhere else. I switched my pharmacy from there to a pharmacy that doesn't have any perks and doesn't have automatic refills just because CVS is so rude and is ungrateful to their customers, you can't even ask them.A question without them being rude.If they see you trying to ask the question, they'll go to the other side of the counter or the other side of the counters over there, so they don't have to wait on you. They act like us as customers owe them. I wish they would at least smile.Because it's not gonna break your face. And I spend over 2 thousand dollars a month there on medications. My mother spends more than that with her medications, and so does my sister-in-law with her 3 family members, so that's right around $6000 a month.I think this pharmacy can take the loss because they don't act like that.our mo ey and business is important. They dont need the money and they don't have customer service worth talking about. I even hate going to the pharmacy to pick up my medications there because I already know that they're rude and that they're not going to be nice to me and they're not going to even say thank you, I think that this pharmacy can stand to lose about $10,000 a month, and it doesn't really matter to them that they lose this kind of money because they must make plenty of it somewhere else. I don't know about you. But if I had a franchise business and I lost $10000, I would be well upset about it, so to the boss that owns the cvs, or that manages this cvs, maybe you should talk to your people that work there and see if they can at least smile and say thank you, and act like they like you when you come in to pick up your medications cause a lot of us are sick and disabled and need little smile or a little kindness of something sortz better than what they give.Because I can tell you what I can't stand them. Thank you.I hope that this gives you something to think about. And maybe others can go somewhere else if they're getting treated the same. Because also, they're rudeness, makes them look very ugly. There is not a pretty person that works there , and i'm not talking about outside appearance , i'm talking about their ugly ugly people there , and it makes their outside ugly.

Go to Walmart Instead

Pharmacist refused to fill valid prescription without access to my private medical records. Do yourself a favor and go to Walmart in Delta Shores Pharmacy where you can still have privacy.
I did contact customer relations and they said it was perfectly fine for a pharmacist to choose to require additional medical records if the prescribing Doctor is outside a certain radius from the store, even though both a store further away and CVS Caremark mail-service have filled in the past. it was just this particular pharmacist!

CVS IS THE WORST

CVS Pharmacy is the absolute worst in the United States. Their employees are surly, unhelpful, and argumentative. The process for getting prescriptions filled is a bureaucratic nightmare. Oh, and did I mention that their employees are horrible? Because they are.

Amazing Pharmacy and Store Staff

I'm writing to commend pharmacist Jessica Tinari-Holmes. She's been with the CVS in Havertown, PA for quite awhile, and NEVER fails to deliver stellar service. Most recently, she returned calls promptly and helped my friend and me save money on prescriptions. Her caring and expertise are second to none. Jessica is a real asset to CVS, and makes me want to use this particular store for all my business.
I also want to commend the pharmacy and store managers and the rest of the staff. Everyone there tries to be very helpful and truly serve customers. This is the best store in my area!

THE WORST

THE WORST - Terrible service at the front end. Long wait times for the pharmacy on the phone. Hung up on 2 times at the same store a minute and a half apart after not being able to get through to the pharmacy. Asked for manager and was told he was in a meeting & she would not interrupt him. Called the corporate office about the experience & had two nice women that escalated my call to Melissa who was exactly the same, hung up on again! Thank you for nothing except rudeness, overly disrespectfulness, & a final interaction with all CVS'. Thank God there's Walgreen's!

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. CHOOSE QFC OR SAFEWAY IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AND SANITY.
This pharmacy is run like a sinking ship. The manager is abrasive, dismissive, and refuses to own even the most obvious mistakes. My doctor sent the same prescription five times and received confirmation each time that CVS had it. Their own staff even told the doctor it would be ready in a few hours. But every time I called, I was told they had “no record” of it.
Instead of fixing the problem, the pharmacy manager told me I could “wait like everyone else” or take my business elsewhere. That’s not leadership—that’s someone dodging responsibility while patients pay the price.
And here’s the kicker: because it’s a controlled substance, it can’t be transferred once it’s stuck in their system. They know this. They just don’t care.
This isn’t a minor inconvenience. It’s reckless. It puts patients in a bind they can’t easily get out of. If you need a pharmacy that actually communicates, respects customers, and takes basic responsibility for their own process, go anywhere else.

The location on bell road and 99th…

The location on bell road and 99th Avenue. I guess that would be Sun. City, I like it for the covenience but I'm afraid to go in there anymore. The woman: blondish grayish hair always wears it up:is a nightmare. She is always rude, ignores you & miserable all the time. I understand people have bad days, but she's like that. All the time, I'm changing location; if I walk in and I see her I walk out: I love The pharmacy there, but I can't deal with her. And she's there a lot, I don't know her name and I dont think she's a manager. The manager has Brown hair. She's very nice, but wow, take medication for your anger or find a new job you like perhaps. Customer service and kindness is not for everyone in this world. And in this review, they ask you, for what day the experience was. It's every time I go in there , so yeah , i'm not going there anymore

I call and get their AI that thing is…Bad phone service bad in store service

I call and get their AI that thing is awful. It asking questions that when you answer ask again and again. I know what I want AI can't answer and keeps me from getting through to the pharmacist. I go in the store everything is behind glass. I understand that, I watched as people walked out with whatever. What I don't understand is they have no one in store to help when you find what you're looking for .

I’ve been trying to fill a prescription…

I’ve been trying to fill a prescription for two weeks. I selected them to contact my Doc for a refill. I followed up online, and my acct said it was approved. I never heard from CVS, and I can no longer speak to a pharmacist because of their new automated phone system. So I drove there, only to be told it’s no longer covered, and I need a new prescription.
My Doc did that, and CVS site said prescribed, 3 refills left, so I went to pick it up, only to be told it wasn’t filled because it’s not covered. No communication regarding this…So now I call Medicare. The first med is in fact covered. CVS lied to Medicare and said Doc never prescribed. He prescribed the second one too, but the generic isn’t covered…he didn’t prescribe the generic.
I’m now switching pharmacies. This not the first time I’ve had probs getting meds at CVS, and one time it was critical! We had to go back to the hospital to get meds after I had surgery. Goodbye CVS!

The app is useless

I went to the app, it gave me the option to transfer my script to another location, upon doing so, I was notified, I could pick up my script, after 9am. When I arrived, the clerk told me , they had nothing ready for myself. They were waiting on my insurance to call back, I called my insurance, same thing nothing was ready. When I called the location, I originally had my script, the pharmacist told me the app was useless, to this she also informed me , it wasn't reliable. On the coming Monday, I'm to call my PCP, and start from scratch. Do yourself a favor, don't use the app for CVS, it's not worth the headache. If a pharmacist told me about the app, then her words are to be acknowledged.
