It is a great experience using cybrary
It is a great experience using cybrary. I am using cybrary from last 3 years and took numerous courses and career paths. All the courses are well researched and supports relevant labs. My cyber security fareer started only because of cybrary. I took SOC career path and it helped me a lot to get indulge in the community and learn what I needed to.
Great value!!
Organization could be a little better but price is super and most of the content is great. Thanks
Excellent Program

False Lure
Let's be real. A lot of people are looking for free resources to keep their skills sharp while laid off or furloughed during COVID19. Not a lot of people can currently afford costly training and labs associated with high-level IT, especially getting into senior-level certifications.
Now, I understand that business needs to generate profits to stay afloat. That's not the issue I have with Cybrary. It's their false lure to drag in prospective clients. I was looking for some free beginner-level content and maybe some low-cost intermediate content. If it was useful, I could consider Cybrary for higher cost advanced and expert content.
Instead, I'm hit with a paywall about 2 hours into an introductory course. I was taking the introductory course to both refresh my knowledge and test Cybrary for their content. I could accomplish neither goal because they were still describing job DESCRIPTIONS AND ROLES at that point. They had not even begun to talk about knowledge and tools.
I was baffled by this and began exploring their site. I thought such a basic course would be free. I feel I could make a YouTube series with similar content, so it never occurred to me to investigate Cybrary's layout.
ALL of their content requires a Pro subscription, billed monthly or annually, with a fairly steep price tag. You can't pick and choose your interests, and they don't have a separate section for free content.
The site is not free, as it advertises itself. Instead, it attaches a high price to content you could never adequately review. They offer a free 3-day demo, and I have found no course short enough to review in that time-frame.
I don't want to leave a 1-star review because I think Cybrary has potential if they get their priorities straight. However, I don't feel they currently deserve a 2-star rating. As of now, I think 1.25 is the most accurate rating I can currently give Cybrary.
I have been stalking Cybrary from 2017…
I have been stalking Cybrary from 2017 and still love it. To be frank, Cybrary has helped me during the transition from an IT guy to an Infosec guy. The content of each and every courses are to the point and Crisp.I recommend anyone asking me "How to get into Cyber Security"that they can take courses on Cybrary and get their fundamentals cleared. Also they can go for different career paths provided by Cybrary aligned with different skills.
One of the best decisions I've ever made
Cybrary is unique and different from all the other training platforms that I've come across. The virtual labs are worth mentioning as they let you practice what you learned. I've heard some people saying that it's too pricy but it isn't considering what they offer in return. The Career Paths in Cybrary provides everything you need to know and prepare yourself for that particular job role and that's exactly what I wanted. They don't just stop with that, Cybrary has a lot of mentors to have one-on-one conversations, live sessions, etc. I've been introduced to a lot of cybersecurity professionals like Ken Underhill through Cybrary which I'm thankful for. I just wanted to put it out there to anyone who is considering a career in IT/Cybersecurity but has no clue where to start. You definitely won't regret it.
best learning platform Cybrary
Cybrary is one of the best online learning platforms out there, I have tried alot of platforms who offer cybersecurity courses, but nothing is as good and as practical as cybrary. Its one of them place online for a newcommer to start their journey.
Proud to be a subscriber of Cybrary!
When Cybrary came into my email a few months ago, I was skeptical at the start. I thought it was some scam. Being a non-IT guy, I do not understand what was Cybrary all about. The pricing was also initially beyond my ability. Thankfully, after some time of probing and monitoring, it picked my interest in the subject of information security and IT professional certifications. Later on, I tried their free services. Given that I want more, I sent them an email if I can avail of a special discount given my financial condition. They were nice to give me a concession (even after their promo period was over). From then on, I started using them to the point they became instrumental in my ability to pass the ISACA's examinations on CISA and CISM (i.e., passing these examinations in a matter of 17 days, which I was told was some kind of accomplishment, and only being a subscriber this April). They are now part of my regular reference material as I charter into this unfamiliar territory of information/cybersecurity. As earlier mentioned that I don't have an IT background but being their subscriber made me feel comfortable whenever I speak about IT/IS matters in my work (I am an internal auditor). They are a treasure trove of information that makes me updated in this ever-changing information technology risk landscape. I am at present preparing for my CRISC and CISSP and I consider Cybrary as an indispensable source of information (mind you, their pre-tests are more difficult than the actual exams) and a great tool that keeps me be abreast of current IT/IS events. I also feel confident that the materials they have will make me pass those examinations again. Also, as I understand, one can apply the courses completed at Cybrary to meet ISACA's CPE requirements, which makes my subscription investments worth it. In short, I do highly recommend them.
claims to be free but it's not
Tried a 'free' intro course. Then they told me I need to pay. How tf is that free? The paid version is way too expensive too. can't really comment on the quality of the instruction because they hit me with the paywall before I even got anywhere. Will look for training elsewhere.
no customer support
no customer support, had paid my subscription couple of days ago and had issues with access to take the course but no support only you can send the message and no guarantee that you will get reply or resolution.
There is limit that you can explain your problem with sending messages but looks like they don't care. I have not seen any videos yet so don't know how good they are but as you can tell that they don't care so I don't know how videos would be.
Don't do it! Do not try CYBRARY - you'll regret it!
(Unfortunate rating system where you have to give at least 1 star.....) CYBRARY are awful - minus 1 star!
Customer service - take a look - it is a very common thread in the reviews listed - I also confirm what other reviewers have reported - but remember customer service is driven from higher up - from those making the most profits:
Their customer service though, it has to be said, are well below awful - their setup, I warn anyone considering them, is designed to cause maximum frustration - please, please "swerve" as we say in the UK - just don't go there! And forget any courtesy even when it comes to issues of refund - kiss your money goodbye - do not even expect a response - not even an automated one.
Minus stars rating is missing form trust pilot!
scam
the laggiest POS scam website. whoever coded this mess should put a bullet in their head
Terrible service
Terrible service, I have asked for refund on my first week, but I still dont have any refund. I am asking for the proof of refund, but I am getting proof from 2019. Their representative called Andre keep sending me nonsense emails, looks like he has no idea what he is doing. I am thinking of going legal. They keep telling me that it is from my bank, which is a lie.
What has happened!!
Im not sure if Cybary has been bought by a company recently but its a real shame, i used this site for a good couple of years when i first started out in IT and i was amazed at the amount of good quality free content, now you cant watch more than one video without being spammed to sign up to a pro account or a business account, which is incredibly disappointing coming from a company who's slogan on the old website was "free training forever" looks like they finally sold out.
Its not free, actually its costly.
Costly and lacks contents. Lure you in with the "free" claim , but when you go on then you have to pay monthly subscription fee.
That's not ethical , and even then the contents are poor. Nothing that you can't get much better stuff from sites like Udemy.
Free training forever (for 0.8% of the 2206 contents)
Free training forever (for 1.4% of the 1273 courses, 0% of the 535 virtual labs, 200 practise tests and 198 assessments)
The "Free" part is only 0.8% true. What the hell.
Class are ok BUT Customer Service is a joke.
I signed up for the CompTIA+ program and I am half way through when I learned they changed "free" to "pay". Now I have to upgrade in order to complete my courses. They will not grandfather me in. I tried reaching customer support and that is a HUGE joke. When trying to use "chat support" they mention that I need to "wait a few hours" before I get a reply. What kind of "chat" is that??? This was yesterday. I STILL have NOT gotten a response. If they are going to ask us to upgrade then they need to guarantee access to ALL classes, exams and labs along with REAL customer service.
