Very poor unprofessional service.
Sadly Dack Motor Group, Lincoln is not the professional setup it claims to be.. I have taken my car in for some minor work to be done, on collection I found my car left unlocked on their forecourt ( who could care less about customers property) The recorded mileage on the invoice was thousands miles out and they had the nerve to disconnected my dashcam but didn’t reconnect it before returning the car.. I had travelled 50 miles before noticing it wasn’t working, now I am having to check my wheel nuts to see if they bothered to tightened them.. All very poor..
TERRIBLE EXPIRIENCE, costly mistake using their "Service"
I brought my car to DACK MOTORS because it had a whistling noise coming from the engine bay at high RPMs. I suspected it was the turbo and asked the mechanic to listen and confirm. He said he couldn’t do it without getting in trouble with management. I went to the office and the receptionist had a dry approach. She wouldn’t listen to my concerns until I committed to paying £45 for a car check-up. I agreed and left the car for them to check. They didn’t call me back that day.
The next day, they sent me a report with prices for front and back brakes for £900, oil, etc., and £180 to investigate the turbo further. I called them and said I only wanted them to diagnose and fix the turbo. They said I had to pay £180 to confirm the issue. I agreed but after another day passed, they confirmed it was the turbo but said they couldn’t fix it due to lack of time. I had to pick up my car and pay £95 as it was already a cheap price.
I argued that they couldn’t fix my car and tried to charge me for unrelated issues. The receptionist said that manager Paul Bricknell would call me to listen to my concerns and settle my refund as they couldn’t do anything with the car.
Paul Bricknell never called. On the drive home, the whistling noise stopped but the car lost most of its power. Then I heard lots of knocking noise coming from the engine bay and lots of smoke at the back of the car. I stopped and now the car is not running.
Terrible customer service! I felt like a hostage of this company with total disregard for its customers. On top of not fixing my car, they made it worse and now I have no idea how I will fix it!"
Dishonest - refused to fix expensive issue they caused
Loyal customer for 3+ years with no issues, but when they broke our head unit as part of a service and repair they were dishonest about it and refused to fix the issue as per Consumer Rights 2015. Looked to raise it via the Motor Ombudsman but they don't appear to be registered despite saying they are on their website.

I am a long term customer of the Coventry branch (8 years+).Have never had a problem. Any work required has been explained and costed. Always find them friendly and efficient. The reports forwarded following any work including servicing, have always been very good and useful.
Ripped off at Lincoln branch
If I could give zero stars I would. LINCOLN branch. Absolutely ripped off!
Charged me £204 for diagnostics which another garage had told me for free (but unfortunately they couldn't carry out the work) they then tried to charge me a further £275 to 'maybe' fix the issue!
I have since found a decent, honest garage who ran no ridiculously expensive diagnostic tests and within five minutes of sitting in the car told me what the issue was! Devastated I didn't find them before I was stupid enough to trust Dack.
Never again! Avoid at all costs!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Specialists in nothing but taking your money!
I have now taken my car to Dack Motor Group Coventry on 3 occasions for an engine management light, all of which have been linked to the previous issue.
Each time I have been fooled into promises that the problem has definitely been resolved, yet days later the light has returned.
This has amounted to over £700 in repairs and my car off the road for weeks at a time.
On the latest occasion, I have been quoted £230 for just diagnostic work into the issue! The apparent cost of 2hrs labour? An insult after the money I have already spent and not even a care in the world by any of their team.
If only I had read the previous reviews before using the garage. Please do not make the same mistake and save your money by going to the main dealers!!
Booked my car in for service
Booked my car in for service, waited all day for phone call i had to phone them to be told thats a roll over cant get it till next day didn’t even ask if that’s okay, days pay lost again not the first time, worst company.
Still waiting a call back!
Rang Lincoln on the 30th July to get a quote and book in for a major service, was told there system was down and would ring me back, still waiting 2 weeks later. Booked in with main BMW dealer now.
Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service at the Lincoln Branch. Peter & Tom went the extra mile to ensure my vehicle was ready when stated. It now runs like a dream. Highly recommended 5*****
Very satisfied long term customer
Andy and his team have run this garage for many years and I am a very satisfied long term customer. Whether it’s a regular service or a difficult to diagnose problem the job is done as promised and on time. Andy is very competitive and fair on price, I feel I get good value for money.
This garage tried to claim my brake…
WILL NEVER USE THIS GARAGE AGAIN - AVOID! This garage tried to claim my brake pads were dangerous and worn when the car had passed its MOT 3 weeks before at a REAL BMW dealer. I had them re-checked by BMW and this was a scam. I have no faith in DACK whatsoever. A indicator fault also appeared from nowhere and again it passed the MOT only 3 weeks before. This is an LED bulb which can go at any time, but very much a coincidence. As the previous complainant stated, I have gone to Trading standards over this.
Not only misdiagnosed but also damaged the cam cover and fitted sensors wrong- Fraud garage- be aware!
Took my car here for a loss of power investigation and fix to Dack Motor Group Coventry (t/a Hensaac Garage Ltd). Andy Fox the owner and his fraud team didnt even bother investigating the problem. His fraud team calls me and says that BMW 318 needs a new vanos unit and timing chain. I was dumb to just go to the garage based on the fake reviews on google. Well I then ask Andy how did he conclude that VANOS was a problem and he explains me on his tab that this is how the vanos work etc. I believed him and authorised to do the work and fix the car. He calls back and tells its ready for collection. I pick up car and drive- guess what it is exactly if not worse after he made a repair. I ask him and he then cooks up a new story- a worn dual mass fly wheel and clutch. But we wouldn't guarantee if it will fix the problem and also he says there is a potential problem with the ECU. HE charged £1300 for the job he has done that didn't fix the problem. Luckily I paid it with a credit card- so asked the company to reverse the charge.
When I started asking him questions he gets annoyed and was rude. I had enough at this point and decided to take the car to BMW dealers. BMW did the full set of diagnostics and they found out that the catalytic converter was broken which didn't let the exhaust gases out so the back pressure. They also found out that the good friends and Dack Motor Group has cross threaded the fastener into the cam cover and fitted the eccentric shaft sensor other way around. I ended up paying £1200 to BMW for the stupid mistake this fraud lot have done.
I tried alternate dispute resolution via National Conciliation Service and Dack Motor Group wont respond to them. After having enough, I started a legal claim through Money Claim Online and Andy didn't respond to them either and court has issued a statement in favour of me by default. And Andy by this time had filed for voluntary insolvency but looks like he is still trading...no wonder he knows how to get away with law, he was associated with another company called iAutoUK in the past and the whole Coventry knows about it and about his fraud team.
I tried to get some help from Leo Dack, who is holding 2 shared among the 6 shares and let his name to be used by fraudster at Coventry branch. Leo says ask Andy and his business Hensaac Garage is independent from Dack Motor Group, though there is a big board with Dack Motor group on their garage. Guys be aware and avoid this DACK MOTOR GROUP thing as in whole. These lot are good for doing fraud but not honest repair on car. I am in touch with trading standards and exploring all other legal options to get my money back.***BE AWARE and DO NOT USE DACK MOTOR GROUP***
Great people and service..... Thanks
I have used the services of Dack in Coventry 3 times now, and on each occassion I have found them to be excellent in price, quality and Customer Service.
If I was to be extremely picky, it would be to say that the returning of calls to be a little slow, so maybe an idea to give an expectation of timeframes for call backs. The auto texting when completed is fantastic.
They are extremely busy, but that is just a result of being good at what they do.
Thanks

Went for a gear box service & they…
Went for a gear box service & they soiled interior at Coventry Dack Motors on Thursday 05/04/2018 , and they marked the interior of the passenger seat with some kind of oil/grease mark, I pointed it out they try to clean it out, but fail to remove it, they then say it was there before the service, and refuse to put it right after grounding in the stain further with their attempts to remove it.
I wouldn't go back, because if things don't go well, they have slopey shoulders and you will end up with a Mexican stand off with a certain individual Mr F! over the issue as they tell you they aren't going to help you and you made it all up.
They have a dis-respectable attitude to customers who raise issues when problems occur.
Who else marked the interior?, me?, yeah right I don't mark the interior then book my car in for the service hoping the garage staff will enter the vehicle so I can them frame them for previous damage and get a fix, get real Dack!, you did it! admit and sort it out.
If it was pre-existing damage surely you would have seen the damage before hand you would have raised it with me before servicing my vehicle to cover yourself right? but you didn't, why? because there was none and one of your grease monkey's caused it during the service and now you deny it.
Friendly, honest and good value
Friendly, honest and good value.
I took the wife's car in with a "do whatever it needs" statement and I was pleasantly surprised at what they had (and hadn't) done and the very reasonable bill.
