While the summerhouse was quite nice and I left a nice review about it, just one or two days I left the review, I received the nice surprise of being charged extra for cleaning fees. No email, no invoice, nothing actually explaining why I was charged that large sum. I needed to dig in the booking to find what the claim was for. This is already unprofessional, since they charge your card without even saying beforehand what the charge would be, what about and when it would happen.
When confronted with this, they just came back at me sending absolutely absurd photos claiming we didn't clean up (photos like nicely folded duvets and pillows, or spots of water? And of supposedly dirty supplies that we didn't even use). We left the place in better conditions than when entering, but we didn't think about taking pictures when we entered the house. In retrospect, we should have. On the checkout list there was no mentioning about a deep clean (that also, after one night stay would be quite ridiculous), and they didn't provide absolutely any cleaning supply (not even a mop! Or a functioning vacuum). From all of the sides you can look at, it seems a scam. Apparently they started doing business like this recently.
Also, they don't provide an actual description of where to find the meters (to asses the consumption) and they need to be called for actually find out where the water heater is hidden.
For how nice may be the house, it's not worth. Choose other companies.

The house was dirty at our arrival. We had to clean dishes, silverware, toilet and the floor in the floor. Everywere dust. After 7 hours, we had enough and left. Now they cheat us, with not paying back our deposit!
Its the first and last time, we will ever stay with them

This place is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The terrace was our favorite spot to enjoy morning coffee, and the nearby nature paths were wonderful. The house has everything you need for a comfortable, stress-free holiday.

You certainly kept us well informed . Lots of reminder emails from DanCenter about our visit with pertinent information about the house, how to get in etc. One thing that cause a bit of frustration was that the log in info for the wifi was incorrect. Luckily my husband was able to figure it out, as it was written on the router. It was a little bit frustrating at your impatience when it came to filling out questionaires about our stay, or about your performance. I got three requests to fill out the house questionaire in two days. After long journeys to and from vacation, not everyone checks their email multiple times a day, much less wants to fill out a form. That being said, your company seems to be interested in maximizing customer satisfaction.

If i had the chance to give a Big 0 Star i should. We rented a sommer house whit an awfull smell from the bathroom. Nobody answered the phone during the weekend. We cleaned the house, made a video whit the proof and now they send a bill for more than a 1000 kr for cleaning!!!!
I offer to send the video but the contra offer is to charge 10% less because they said that the house was not properly clean.
Please avoid Dancenter!!!!!

There were many disappointments with respect to the local team. During the stay we recognized that a high chair for babies was missing. We got the hint to book it on top. Checking the booking details we could convince the local team that the chair was included. Hours later they delivered the chair. This cost us 40 minutes waiting on the fon and arguing. After the stay we contacted the service desk by fon because we had forgotten a toy and a bit of clothing. They promised to send this to our Copenhagen address. This did never happen. So we called a second and third time. Even after 3 months nothing happened although in each call promises were renewed. It is clear that we will never again book via DanCenter. We will look for better service elsewhere. The delivered service stands in marked contrast to all the money they make you pay. You pay for each and every detail. And it was clear that we will pay for sending the parcel. But this seemed to much complexity for the local office.

Booked a few holidays with DanCenter now. It's easy to know what to expect and the whole process is usually very smooth. Depending on your price range, you can find affordable options with a variety of amenities.

Don’t care about their customers and will tell lies.
Unfortunately, a lot of promises were made to correct the situation, but never followed through.
It seems that ordering bed sheets and then getting delivered bed sheets that are too small, i.e., do not cover the mattress, are:
- not considered an issue
- would require new bed sheets to be delivered at an extra cost
- does not lead to a refund of the originally delivered bed sheets that are too small
So, yes, very customer-centric. NOT!

How can this company continue in business?
Following my correspondence appearing on the Trustpilot site last June and Dancenter’s performative apology stating that compensation would be paid, I received a separate email informing me that the local office had agreed to refund the payment for the undelivered linen. When I replied that we were also due a refund for a ruined holiday, cut short by not having bed linen, Dancenter replied that absence of linen would not usually be considered grounds for cutting short a holiday. Wow!!!
It would take all day to recount my subsequent communication with DansCenter. Four months later, I have neither received the promised refund for the missing bed linen or any compensation for the ruined holiday. The only course appears to be the legal one or the Danish organisation Awkenaevnet for Feriehusudlejning, which investigates complaints against companies letting holiday homes.

Made a booking via Expedia over 9 months ago. However only closer to the date did they demand a large deposit from me for which they are unwilling to return less undisclosed extra charges they cannot explain. And then they co-erce into a massive cleaning fee that almost the cost of the booking or they charge a cleaning audit fee which they won't disclose in advance at the time of booking what it is.
At the actual holiday home, there was no heat despite being 5C at night -> which was not disclosed in advance.
In trying to deal with customer, they respond in understanding the inquiry but repeatedly fail on followup to deliver anything via telephone or email.
Given what I paid, I would have been better off at a hotel with heat, customer service and few unpleasant surprises.

EDIT: after writing this review the deposit has been returned, I can’t say whether or not the review had anything to do with it, but I nevertheless had to speak to them over the phone 3 times and write a bad review before anything happened
I booked a house through Dancenter in the beginning of September, in that regard everything was great, the house was fine. My issue is with the deposit, according to Dancenter the deposit is supposed to be refunded a maximum of 21 days after checking out, which has not happened in my case. I’ve been in contact with their support on phone, THREE times, every time I’ve been promised that my refund should be there by the end of the week, mind you they’ve done that three times in a row and so far no deposit has been refunded. I’ve asked to speak to a manager, and got told they don’t have one, which seems convenient.
I can’t recommend it at all

We have been using DanCenter for years in Denmark, but this last summer has been awfull.
We had booked a house for 2 weeks in a selected area where DanCenter has almost all houses to rent.
When we arrived, the cleaning hadn't been check by the company :
- dirty sheets from previous family were still there
- the fridge hadn't been cleaned
- the vaccum cleaner was in the middle of the entrance
- and most of all : the washing machine wasn't functuning !!
we struggled during all 2 weeks to have it fixed. I sent emails, called but when a very nice worker came to check-out on it, all he could say was that they had phoned the owner and would replace it asap. But NOTHING !! we had to wash all our clothes by hand (and my daughter had 2 weeks of dirty clothes after a summer camp)and we were lucky the weather was good in order to hang the clothes in the garden to dry (there was nothing to hang the clothes indoors).
on departure day, DanCenter was very quick to ask for paying for the electricity. But we've been struggling since August to have a compensation for not having the washing machine and they are just dismissing our request pretexting that some came to visit. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Nice house, good inventar og comfortable beds! I recommend taking a portable grill with you as the house does not have one. And the only problem we encountered was a nonfunctioning washing machine.
