Your product is not geed enough to feel like you can give customers a bad experience and they will buy from you again.
Love Davidstea! They have a good selection of teas, but they've really decreased in the amount of roobois and herbal teas they carry. Those are the only ones I can drink. I wish they would cater to more of this type.
Customer service is awful, the girl cashier with tattoos in the gallery of Anjou Shop was rude as hell. She serves clients giving attitude for a simple question. I know customer service is hard, but this wasn't a case of an annoying customer being rude. I simply ask for 100 "ml" of tea instead of "grams" and she decided to give attitude because of it. I don't know why the fact that I misspoke triggered her but it's so shocking I had to leave a review. It's terrible business for David's tea to have no supervisor for their cashier. It's just not acceptable to have someone rude in the front of your shop. Especially considering I did nothing wrong nor was I rude to her, I guess she's just butthurt she has a minimum wage paying job, but it doesn't excuse this kind of behaviour.
Shrink flation. I purchased a pre-packed 50 tea bag of David’s tea and the tea bags only had less than half of the David’s tea sooonful and it was very week.
You needed 4/50 tea bags to make one cup of regular tea in order to taste the flavor .
The previous tea bags has 2 heaping David’s tea sooonful of tea leaves and I am very disappointed with the changes.
I will not be buying any more from David’s tea and it’s a complete rip off.
Their customer service is basically non-existent online. They keep adding an extra 10-20$ to my subtotal for the total of the order, but there is no reason why. The shipping is free, and the taxes don't even add up to that much. I calculated all the stuff in my cart, and it shouldn't be that much. But when I go to try to contact them, there is literally no way to contact them without an order number. I used to work for this company in a physical store. They've always been a little scummy in their practices that they taught me. For example, when scooping the tea for customers they told me to "Never ask them if they want less. Only ask them if they want more. That way they don't think having less is an option." They only care about money, and it's such a shame that they have some teas I can't live without. David's Tea, you literally suck! And I'm so glad I don't work for you guys anymore and your scummy tactics
For the past few years my favourite David’sTea has been their Cinnamon rooibos chai; however, last night, after having had a cup of their newly packaged tea, I will be returning my second box to my local store! While I understand that production costs increase, was it really necessary to not only reduce the number of teabags from 15 to 12 (whilst keeping the price the same,) but also to reduce the amount of tea in the bag from 3g to 2g thereby turning what was once a delicious tea into a decidedly weak brew! Sadly, this is an example of shrinkflation that has reduced both quantity AND quality! So, this is one customer who will not be buying your products again.
I really don’t get the previous comments!
Of course there is delay during holidays..
Everything went so well on my side ! I ordered and received it in 2 days! 💛 the tea is honestly amazing (forever nuts it’s incredible!) and they won a customer with me.
Also went to a store last week and the people there are so nice!! They are really aware of their products.
I miss having a real customer service and this one was amazing!
They shipped me a tea & mug set with zero padding in the box. I spent several days trying to get in contact with them. I eventually got through and they resent a different mug, but they deleted my review saying my mug shipped broken and arrived almost two weeks after I ordered. They straight up don't allow negative reviews on their website.
If I could rate David's Tea in the negative numbers? I absolutely would. This has been the worst online purchasing experience for me ever to date. There is no human being that returns any phone calls, no matter what their automated system tells you. No stores answer their phones either. They basically steal your cash once you place your order, and no matter what the problem is after that/ You are completely in the dark and on your own from that point onwards. They will never make their mistakes right, because they just don't care. They already got your cash .... that is truly all they care about.
I received their shipping box with one of the tin bags exploding inside. It's now an undrinkable mess. One of the other tin bag is also wrong. I tried calling them repeatedly but they never answer their calls. This is the worst service ever.
Update: The contact numbers and Tea Guide chat on their website don't work. The only way to contact them is through Facebook messenger if you need to talk to their Tea Guide/Customer Service regarding online orders.
How does this company stay in business! Have not received my order from December, no sign of when it is coming the tracking number is still saying it has yet to be picked up! Tried calling and the system is down and they made a note of it I should try again later! I love the tea but the terrible costumer service will
Make me not order anymore! I wish the stores stayed open!
Everyone had delays getting orders. I did not care about the delay. My order arrived broken and I just cannot get any help on a refund. To talk to someone even. Call? Nope. Chat? Nope. No option to log/initiate a return or refund request via order page. Clearly the restructuring post financial issues hit their customer service department.
Terrible customer service. I’ve been waiting for over a month since I placed my order and the tracking information says it’s awaiting a label creation since Dec 29th
Don’t waste your time or money here. They won’t even cancel or refund you since you have been waiting for so long. There are way too many other better places to go too.
Ordered well before Christmas. Two weeks. Delivered on Dec 30. Lame logistics. Unable to get in touch via chat. Not functional. No response to phone message or email to cancel. A failing business by all appearances.
Placed order on 12/9; didn't receive it until 1/5/23. No response to call, email, or online chat. No explanation at all. Had they even tried to explain or put a note on their website, you might be able to understand. They had no problem charging my account quickly!!!
I ordered tea and mugs on Dec 10th as Xmas presents. The order was received January 3rd. I couldn't even give late presents because what I ordered and what I received were not the same things. I have been trying to reach CS / "a Virtual Tea Guide" all week, but I live in PST and they operate in EST. Nobody's answering the phones, nobody's answering the chats, and there's no email address for CS. This is ridiculous.
Placed an order for over $100 on 12/15/22. Order says shipped on 12/31. It is now 1/5/23 and tracking says “awaiting carrier pickup.” Any and all attempts at contacting customer service have been ignored. As others have mentioned, my money was debited immediately.
Order place Dec 7th/2022.
Said processing times could take 7 days.
I tracked order and it had not even been processed Dec 21/2022. Shipping takes 3-6 days. Got the Order January 3rd.
These were Xmas gifts!
I tried to cancel the order which hadnt been processed but could not..and could not even get a live person to talk to.
Couldn’t email them either!
A voice recording claiming that my time was important to them . On hold for ten minutes and then a saying that they could not help due to heavy volumes. A hang up.
Funny how they had the time to process my online money on the first day!
Says returns before 30 days. Lol
Can’t even get in touch with anyone to return it and it’s January5th/2023. I have two days!
Does anybody know how I can get in touch with them?
Better business bureau perhaps?
I’m stuck with $80 worth of tea I won’t drink because I’m not a tea drinker!
More than a month after making a purchase I still don’t have my order
Placed an order on 12/12/22. It is now 01/04/23. I get daily emails saying my order is processing but have received no tracking number or product. My credit card was charged. Before Christmas I spoke to a "tea rep" who could not guarantee my cancellation, and said I could not return the products if/when they were ever received. I've been robbed. These were Christmas gifts. I cannot use them now. I want my money back!!
